My mom kicked me out of the driver seat when I pulled in the driveway made sure I was buckled up did a burnout out of the driveway down the block and did Donuts in the 4-way and screamed baby it feels like I'm in the 70s again!!! An amazing memory I'll never forget about!

The best one for me: was the lady driving. There's nothing like a driver's reaction the first time they hit over 100mph. I hit 105mph in my old Nissan. That was a lot of fun. Too bad I was alone. I had fun that night.
As somebody living in Germany it's just hilarious to me when I read people raving about 100mph, lol. That's like standard on the Autobahn on a slow day here.
Yea and the fun only goes up with higher speeds.

Back in the 60s my brother had a purple GTO, they called them goats. He took me to school one day and before we got to the end of the street I was pressed into the seat. Couldn't even lift my head. He thought he would scare me but I laughed the whole way.
Back in 1980 I had a '73 Monte Carlo with a stock 454. I live a small town of about 25,000. I was on Grand that we all cruised on at night. One night I was racing down Grand against some guy that thought he could beat any girl. At one end of Grand there was a double train track. We both hit it at about 60mph. I landed at the stop light a block away and kept going. He got scared and did a 360.... He never wanted to race me again. Damn, I miss being young, but I don't think I would have the balls to do that again.......

On some of the manual gear cars, why do ppl go in Neutral after a pull. You want that engine brake to help you not fry the brakes and it makes the car more controllable. Never go out of gear at high speed.
@@BigEsGarage So after all this tuning, rod bolts are a concern, where engines have been pushed to extremes, but you think about rod bolts, I wonder how trucks make half a million miles, using engine brake and ppl driving in snow slow down, but you say rod bearings......if you studied at least 12 grade physics, you would know....put in Neutral at 100 mph, and change lanes....I dare you! I understand you have no idea of manual!
P.S. Majority of US have no idea about manual, and releasing the car on coasting in no gear is asking for disaster!
P.P.S. After the pull let it run in highest possible gear, will help with control and just coast....
@@BigEsGarage So you go through all the trouble of pushing this engine to the max, you do pulls with it and wonder about rod bolts? I can sense you don't drive manual, and have no idea how trucks make excess of 500k miles....they should be in the pit all the time
You never go out of gear, unless asking for a crash!
I don't know why they do that other than to cut the noise down immediately or maybe coming up on a stop light.
@@BigEsGarage That does not happen unless you hit 2nd gear instead of 4th. Letting your car engine brake gear by gear does nothing bad.
With lightweight pulleys and lightweight flywheels you wouldn't want to brake with your engine. It can decelerate you real fast and it also can cause you to understeer losing traction and control over your car.
I'm not very good with g-forces so I guess I would be like one of these passengers.....I hope that when I will have my sports car (I'm still 21 and at university) I'll be able to train to bear them

My brother, back in the late 70's early 80's, had a 67 Camaro and he would do the $20 challege. He would tape a $20 bill to the dash and if you could reach up and grab it, after he launched, by the time he finished third gear you could keep the $20.....not a lot of winners
