He was on dialysis too i heard. Also he prolly had high blood pressure due to excess fluid on the body. I have the same when i have fluid on. Im a dialysis patient too and have been 24 yrs and continue to fight till my next transplant. I had one that failed after 4 yrs. . I am praying for his soul and family! Rip black Rob. You are at peace no more pain and struggles and feeling drained and sickly everyday. We just want to feel normal. And can tell he doesnt want to dwell on it. omone00 obviously you don't know the difference between minor and major strokes. He states the doctor told him he had a small stroke. The minor ones aren't debilitating (when caught in time which his was according to him) the major ones are. The small ones are usually a warning for a major one the follows a short while after.

I remember reading an article back in the day about how his weight used to balloon uncontrollably. Our health is everything. That's why I have utmost respect for artist like dead prez & KRS-ONE who have been making health conscious songs for years and spreading the Vegan/Vegetarian/Pescatarian lifestyle throughout their music. I also read Bret Hart's biography and in the book he spoke about having a stroke while he was riding his bicycle. He said that he became very emotional afterwards. During the recovering process he would watch a lot of TV and one time a random petfood commercial came on he started to cry out of nowhere. I think Black Rob is going through these same symptoms and that's why he became overwhelmed with these deep questions and calls. I'm so glad he was able to tell his story because more awareness will be raised and it shows his strength. He should start doing Yoga. Much Love to Black Rob! Life Story was super slept on. That first album had mad gems on it. Super props to Sway for always bringing a maturity to Hip Hop and having some of the best interviews with these artists. The same thing happened to me years ago. I am so blessed to be hear. You have to change your health regimen. Vitamin B-12 and lots of foods filled with magnesium helped me to get back on track. I still love his music. So glad to see that he is doing better and he is still with us.
There was an interview he a few years later around 2020 and he was drinking hard liquor during the interview, so when he felt better he started drinking again....the addiction to alcohol is serious...Rest In Power Black Rob

Wow; everybody saying he's on drugs not knowing he was just sick. It has to hurt to have everyone assume the worst about you when you may already be feeling low from "falling" off in your career. Diddy got rich off so many people and just threw them away after using them; there's no reason why Rob shouldn't have plenty of income and insurance after all the money that came in from "whoa" alone. His story is a cautionary tale and inspiration for real. I can tell he needed to feel this love and know he isn't forgotten. He was overwhelmed and didn't have much to say, or couldn't articulate his thoughts, but his honesty instead of the usual bravado from celebs fronting was appreciated. I truly hope he's fully restored. All of them whose careers ended/slowed down too soon; I hope they don't let that ruin them and their self-esteem, and that they find success making a good living for themselves doing something they love.

Strokes are no joke my Mom had a slight one,my Uncle was in the backyard for 3hrs before anyone found him great MAN funny as hell danced always smiling that stroke took all that away can't walk can't say but a few words. He Cry's all the time cause he can't be him, its hard for me to even visit him cause I fold up. Glad this man came out OK.
Same thing happened with my uncle. All he could do is lay in the bed and cry until he passed away.

The Hip Hop community isn't ready for this side of reality. We're so caught up in these self destructive messages about "Turning Up" that we fail to realize for every action there is a reaction and all of our choices will produce results whether good or bad.
This was a great interview! Mad respect to Black Rob. Black Rob has been having issues with his health for years now. I remember reading an article back in the day about how his weight used to balloon uncontrollably.
Our health is everything. That's why I have utmost respect for artist like dead prez & KRS-ONE who have been making health conscious songs for years and spreading the Vegan/Vegetarian/Pescatarian lifestyle throughout their music.
I also read Bret Hart's biography and in the book he spoke about having a stroke while he was riding his bicycle. He said that he became very emotional afterwards. During the recovering process he would watch a lot of TV and one time a random petfood commercial came on he started to cry out of nowhere.
I think Black Rob is going through these same symptoms and that's why he became overwhelmed with these deep questions and calls. I'm so glad he was able to tell his story because more awareness will be raised and it shows his strength.
He should start doing Yoga.

The same thing happened to me years ago. I am so blessed to be hear. You have to change your health regimen. Vitamin B-12 and lots of foods filled with magnesium helped me to get back on track. I still love his music. So glad to see that he is doing better and he is still with us.

Lost my grandfather to a stroke, my uncle had multiple strokes and was never the same mentally. My cousin’s husband passed from one as well, all of them seemed like strong, healthy guys. But u have to take care of your health, get regular check ups and watch what you consume; fastfood and alcohol. Dont play with your health, everybody be safe
