The Amazfit T- Rex 3 can do a lot and I think it does these features well with some slight exceptions. It is durable and I think a good value. I know this video is a little long but iI think I covered all the major features. I also some other T-Rex 3 videos coming out that are shorted and focused on a single topic, subscribe and stay tuned if you are interested in those videos.
@paulbaroni2926 Android. Most should be the same but i believe with iOS you don't yet get the improved texting features. But supposedly Amazfit is working on it.
Excellent review! First time watching ur channel and just ordered my T Rex 3. Thank you for all the info< I'm going to have to watch this 2-3 times to digest everything. Again, great video!!!
Thank you!! 😊 I love details but I dont know how many details everyone else wants to hear about. Believe it or not- I edited out A LOT to trim it to this length 😀. thank you for the feedback!
You are the best! No one is doing such detailed videos out there. It is also impressive how much Amazfit provide for the money. I own Balance, T-Rex 3 and Helio atm. I am still with mixed feelings about Helio but T-Rex 3 and Balance are great watches.
@techgadgets100 I took it only because I thought that sleeping with the T-Rex 3 won't be so comfortable and the sleep tracking should be at least as good as on the Balance. So far, it looks so. However it looks like metrics on the finger differ a bit (HR and especially temperature) and all my scores dropped a lot during the first week. Probably would get better when avarages update.
@rosenpetrov4251 that would probably be the main reason to have a ring and watch, the watch is not comfortable to sleep with. It seems Samsung and Amazfit are marketing the rings as beneficial if you have both, then you get better combined readings and better battery life. I might convert one day...

I cant test it for a few days but if I remember right, you will get the chime if pace too fast or slow or if you are not keeping up with your Zepp coach plan. Also get a vibration alert.
I really love the details of your channel, thank you! Only problem I have with this lovely watch is tbt directions. Sometimes it's perfect and sometimes... Not. There must be logic to it but I have not found any. You seem to have the skills to answer this.
I am flattered 😊 Do you mean track back turn by turn directions? If that is what you mean, I found them to be accurate. maybe it is the quality of the local maps? does it work and sometimes not work in the same area?
Have you used this watch for running? If so did it calculate your running power? I’d like to know before I buy it in case I need to buy a separate foot pod for this feature to work. Any info would be greatly appreciated ☺️🇨🇦
I am a UK viewer of this video. I have had the T Rex 3 for a couple of months, and was unaware of some of the features you described. So thank you very much for the info. However, even following your descriptions, I cannot get the voice activation to work, using the settings on the watch and on the Zepp App. Having made my selections, there is no "set" or "sync" instruction. Can you advise please? Many thanks Terry Davis
Thank you! If you are taking about the Zepp flow app/ feature that may not be available in every country. If you mean for texting- did you give Zepp app all the permissions? It needs mic access. If that isn't it, send me another comment, I will try to help.
Your reviews are exactly what I need. I have learned so much from you trex 3 videos over the last month. You speak extremely well and balanced and it's such a nice feeling that you aren't talking down or with unnecessary pizazaz. Lol! Thank you sir
You are right! in the sleep app, you can set your sleep schedule, enable sleep mode, toggle on advanced sleep monitoring and breathing quality monitor- I did forget to mention that. thank you!

True, but that has more to do with Amazfit updating software to older watches. There have been a lot of improvements with Amazfit watches and Zepp app. Biggest one is that you can now reply to texts with a keyboard! This was first introduced on the T Rex 3.
I have the Balance ans T-Rex 3 and i never use the Offline Assistant 😂 using the keyboard for anything other than a 'ok' or 'lol' becomes a bit of a stretch. Dictation is the best way. The smart AI replies with Foow and Balance are ok in some instances.

I noticed that the T-Rex has been measuring my resting heart rate above 100 beats per minute for the last 10 days. What nonsense. I've been wearing a Garmin Fenix 7 PRO on one hand for about a month now and a T-Rex on the other. I'm testing the latter and the T-Rex3's heart rate is 40-50 and sometimes 60 beats higher than the Garmin's. I have a Polar Verity Sense belt and a clip for measuring my heart rate and oxygen. All devices give the same heart rate except for the T-Rex 3, which gives 50 or more beats higher than the Garmin, Polar and the clip. Does anyone have this problem? The watch is in perfect condition and has never been dropped or hit. This is strange because the T-Rex 3 showed a very accurate resting heart rate in the first few weeks compared to the devices above. I'll write to Amzfit support today. It looks like a defect. I checked everything on different hands, everything is the same.
@@techgadgets100 Thank you. It looks like that. I changed the strap to a nylon one, did a factory reset, but the problem still exists. There are no other options to try than what I did. I will write to Amazfit support. Let's see what they say, do they know about such cases or not...

The heart rate monitor you can actually do on the watch unless I'm mistaken.
If you go to the heart rate option on the watch and then scroll down you can get the same options as on your phone.
The sleep stuff you can change on the watch if you click on the sleep and scroll down

While running mode is it possible to see the map?
Yes, when using running or other outdoor exercises you can see map. It is part of the data pages.
Are those new reply options available on iPhone?
Not yet, supposedly Amazfit is working on it. As of now, you have to use Zepp flow for speech to text, but it does work well.
Can you share the name of the first watch face which you have wen the video starts
That is a nice one! Its called future weather. its free.
Does this has a support for MP3 music?
It ONLY supports MP3 music. but remember there is no speaker so you need to pair buds to listen to music on watch.
At 4:36 what tablet interface is that? Can I get to it on my iPad? I only know the iPhone Zepp app.
That is the Zepp app on my Samsung Z fold 6.
How many watch faces are available? And are they free??
