Wow! I was faced with the same exact challenge. I wasn't responding as well as they expected and my doc only counted 7. We decided to move forward and I glad we did because out of the 10 retrieved 8 matured we were left with 3 to freeze. It only takes one. I'm so grateful! Sending prayers your way!
I would absolutely keep going with this cycle! I’m always super suspicious when docs make recommendations like this, that they are more concerned with their ivf statistics than moving forward. Because of course if you have more follicles they have a better chance of keeping their numbers up. Sending you lots of good vibes!
There is no magical number that you are suppose to hit. My body can only produce 1 follicle per cycle. ONE! ONE! And i had to do 3 cycles to get 2 blastocysts. I sent 2 for testing and one came back normal. I will be transferring next week. Your doctor sounds crazy to cancel because you’re not hitting the number he had in mind. I am glad you are pushing forward. 7 is wonderful! Its not bad at all! Oh and by the way, my normal embryo came from a 13mm follicle! I know! Crazy! 18mm is the norm but doesn’t mean impossible. So don’t let all the numbers drive you nuts. You will be ok! Hang in there and keep pushing forward.
Glad you decided to move on, I'm sure that was difficult with your doctor originally saying otherwise. I know everyone's different and your cycle may not be like mine, but I wanted to encourage you to let you know that they only counted 6 mature follicles (ranging from 14-20mm) when we triggered (there were also 3 small 10-12 mm ones they saw too). I have low AMH so I was kind of expecting a lower number. But, on egg retrieval day they ended up collecting 13 eggs! So anything is possible and I personally do not think 7 is too little. Out of the 13 eggs we had 8 mature and 5 fertilized. Won't find out if they mature and grow into blast until March because they froze them once they fertilized. I'm documenting my journey on RUclips too, thankful for this community! Praying for good quality eggs and for peace as you go through this difficult time. God is with you!

My IVF nurse said a lot of these doctors do things for numbers and statistics smh I only had 4 follicles I only got 3 eggs and 1 fertilized and then the day before my transfer 1 more caught up so they transferred 2! I'm praying for you guys!! And that's exactly right U only need 1!!!! Keep that faith girl!!!!!
Im praying for you! Numbers can be tricky!! I had 10 eggs retrieved and only 1 made it (only that one fertilized lol) But I ended up getting pregnant with my boy who is now 10. Then I did Ivf again and got 4 eggs and all four fertilized but only one made it and my girl will be 5 next week. I want to add that I only have one ovary! I think 7 is a good number! Stay Positive! Follicles are only an estimate of how many eggs you will get. We had 23 follicles growing with maybe 18 “mature” when we trigger I was expecting about 20 eggs after retrieval they told me they got 31 eggs!!! Where did they even come from?!?! Haha so you honestly never know! Out of 31 - 26 were mature and 22 fertilized. We had 10 make it to freeze. Good luck to you!! I’ve learned this is an emotional roller coaster every day is either a really good (high) or really bad (low). Unfortunately our first transfer ended in miscarriage had my D & C last week. Now we’re just waiting to transfer again!
7 is great! 7 is a lucky number! Its hard not listen to drs. I was going to do an iui last week and went in for an ultrasound and follicle was only 8mm, im on femera, 4 days later it was only at 11 mm. So my dr cancelled my iui because im not growing. I was trying to let them know thats impossible, maybe a mature follicle is hidden, and they just wont admit that they possible messed up on my ultrasound. So now at cycle day 24 and waiting for progesterone bw to come back to see if i ovulated. I wish drs would listen to the patients more, i get they went to school, but we know our bodies! So who cares if u didnt have the amount the dr wanted, every woman responds differently. Thank god you at least had 7 great follicles. You know your body, you have a plan, im so glad ur sticking with it! Hopes and prayers you get a positive result for valentines!!! :)
Ok your doctor is a total kill joy. Keep pushing forward. Keep your awesome positive outlook. I thought 7 was pretty good. I know people who had less and went on to a healthy pregnancy.
God knows the plans that he has for you. Stand your ground and hold your peace. Seek him first and he shall direct your path. I found your oafe this morning after prayer. I too believe that it takes only one . Out of 13 , I got my daughter. The odds were against me because of my age . I had 3 % chance according to the doctor. However God turned that into 100% in his plan. Faith of a mustard seed . You can moves mountains my love. I'm Praying for you and Levi . Keep your mind stated on God . He will keep you in perfect peace. Lean not unto your own understanding, but in all of your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path. 🤗

What doctor sometimes fail to realize is there just a small part in God's plan God triumphs over all and has the last and final say you know how many miracles have happened when doctors have said otherwise to never lose faith I truly believe in the end God will give you as many children as you want and deserve
GIRRLL!!! speak your baby into existence and it WILL happen!!! Every doctor is different and I guess they have their own agenda even though I believe they truly want to see you pregnant. I only had two sad little follicles that grew amongst the only eight that I had so I am very grateful that you have seven because many of us out here don’t get that many so that in itself is a blessing! I was devastated with only two… If you ever get a chance to follow my videos it was DEVASTATING...But somehow ( i know how..it was GOD)those sad little follicles happened to be mature and they miraculously both fertilized so I wish some of these doctors would stop being so pessimistic and give your body the benefit of the doubt! Looking forward to your update:)
