Thank you, I've been old school for a few years with black Harley's, recently bought a Mystic Red SG and now a Blue SG. I'm Loving it.... Stay tuned I have a few quick videos, one on speaker pod removal and the other on DIY cam install. Thanks again....
I purchased the radio from 702motoringlasvegas.com. I purchased it online on Monday and had by Wednesday afternoon. They also provided timely phone support.... Good luck, let me know if can help! www.702motoringlasvegas.com/product-page/soundstream-hdhu-14-plug-n-play-upgrade-headunit-for-2014-harley-davidson-new
I have the same bike, same color. I still have the original bars though and I want to change mine out. What size are your handle bars, who makes them and did you have to do any cable work when you changed them? Thanks
i bought the rockford punch 400 4 channel and it lasted half a day and overheated in the fairing, hope you have better luck. they do sound great but overheat way too easy
I've had good luck. I've had 4 different units, and all have lasted without an issue. One unit overheated initially because I installed it without a clearance between the radio and the amp. The clearance allows the heat to dissipate and not overheat.
I am not sure if you use the EITMS but down in TX, the heat gets pretty bad at stop-and-go traffic. Do you know if you can still activate/disable EITMS with this system? I know you won't be able to view if it is enabled or not on the soundstream, but would like to know if it is still possible to use turn on and off.
It will NOT activate/disable EITMS. Since it does not communicate through "canbus" it cannot make that change to your bike. I believe currently there isn't an aftermarket radio that can provide that option.
I bought my lift at Costco. They don't always carry it. A similar model that I have as well is from Harbor Freight for $129 www.harborfreight.com/1500-lb-steel-atvmotorcycle-lift-60536.html
I just return from a group ride into Baja Cali from San Diego. It was sunny and warm all weekend. I used my maps on Android Auto for directions and Amazon Music during the entire trip. I rode with the sun at my back and into the sun and never had an issue seeing the screen (not possible with the Sony 7000). I believe it's as good but not better than the Harley GT and GTS radio.
The Sony is NOT waterproof and not built for a motorcycle. This radio is designed and built for a motorcycle and is IPx6 certified for water resistance. This is equal to the Harley GT (14-18) and GTS (19-22) radio.
I just returned from another distance ride and more time with the Soundstream radio. First the pluses; as advertised it connects quickly with minimal delay. I used the same set-up (300 W Punch amp and 6.5 MMATS speakers) with the Harley 14-18 GT radio and the Soundstream radio is hands down louder and clearer. Functionally, everything worked well, hand controls are a seamless transition from the Harley radio to the Soundstream radio. Using android auto for navigation is an obvious upgrade from the 14-18 GT radio ( as 19-22 GTS has android auto). At this point no negatives and for the price it's a crazy bargain if you're in the market to upgrade your radio.
I've had the Harley GT and Boom audio 4.3 to compare it to and I'd say that it's better. With my set-up I have "good" speakers MMATS 6.5 and decent amp (Rockford Punch 300x2). Also, because this radio has a custom EQ option, a novice like can tune it to my liking very easily. BTW, no Harley flashing required. Hope this helps.....
I just ordered my sound stream on yesterday. Nice radio and I’m subscribed
Nice, I think you are going to like.
@@newazhorizons9945 man I already do lol 😂. That boi is right !

@@newazhorizons9945 that’s what’s up.
In your opinion do I really need a Amp with set up,I got precision power 5.7 rear and 6.5 front
I believe if go to custom EQ and set all 13 eq settings to 6db, your set-up should be fine. I think you'll be happy with that sound at 80 MPH.
What’s the hight on those handlebars if you don’t mind me asking. And do they interfere with your mirrors while riding
They are 12 inch LA Chopper bars. I left the mirrors in the stock location. I can see fine under the bars.
Where did you purchase your soundstream I’ve been looking online but I cannot find it thank you I have a 2014 Triglide Trike

No wires or cable modification needed for these bars.
Can you provide the amazon link to the module you purchased to connect your amp?

@@newazhorizons9945 thats awesome, i still like fosgate but went with the ad400 instead they have cooling fans in them and i use a heat sink as well
Yes, there is a lot out there to pick from, I'm glad you found something that works for you!

Is this waterproof? Like if it rains unexpectedly heavy outside its not gonna fry the device?
This head unit is IPx6 Marine certified waterproof, same as the Harley GT and GTS head unit.
May I ask what motorcycle lift you have there? I'm looking for one but don't know which kind are good.

Be careful in the rain my Sony screen started to get foggy the 1st week out
This isnt a Sony. Its as waterproof as the GTS unit.
