With the popart brand of blind box vinyls, they apparently add that black hockey puck piece to every box to throw off the weight of the actual figure. I watch a unboxing channel and they have gone through a lot of Popmart figures and they eventually figured out the answer to that question because they thought it was a base at first too. Hope you can unbox more figures like that! There's so many neat collections out there!! It's bad for the wallet. XD
