i am ecstatic to find ustadji's music on utube. i have dozens of his cd's and old vinyls. the greatest gift and joy for me is that i knew him him persoanlly and heard him munawar bhai sing from a couple of feet away countless times. it feels surreal to me looking back at it now. he turly is the greatest indian classical singer in 500 hundred years. i will be honored to send audios of his music to any one who wants them.
Thank you sooooooo much for this rare footage. Needless to say, it is absolutely mindblowing. Ustad Amir Khan Saheb also used the same cheez "Allah jane, Maula jane..." in Gujri Todi. Both of them had their distinctly unique & individual style of singing, completely immersed in pure classicism. Both, Ustad Amir Khan & Bade Ghulam Ali Khan were undoubtedly the greatest giants that strode the world of Indian classical music. How I miss their voice & music!!! Bansuriraj

first of all godbless you man for putting these extra ordinary work of art and artist in process. ANd second--I agree with Hoisom--that "ka karoo sajani"-is based on raag KALINGRA--although its a south indian raag--but its genere is still debated by the experts-whether its in baravi sister or not!

I'm struggling to appreciate classical music & Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. Any man that is the mentor of Mohd Rafi - has infinite respect from me. I speak Hindi but I can hardly understand what he is saying. I struggle to sense the melody etc. but of course I know this is a greatness before my eyes - I just don't get it.
Bade Ghulam ali is a legend, people like him will never work this earth again. Classical music is diying out since after the likes of Ustad nusrat fateh ali khan passed away. Todays generation has no appreciation for classical music but choose to listen to music which is out of tone
sure....but i will need your email add. i have not succeeded in sending any of his pieces so far becasue they're all larger files than i can send...even though i have gmail. i will learn how to compress to mp3 and send. so... pls give me a bit of time. i wish that i was able to upload them on utube. someday, i will find the time to learn and do it!
