@@eelguttz885 It's the snail boss that says the lines, as indicated by his microphone and the fact that he screams when he gets interrupted by his goon picking him up and flying away.
That's like the whole selling point of cuphead. They try to capture the essence of 1930s wild rubberhose cartoon and I say they succeed in the most impressive way possible.
I am physically unable to hate on any aspect of this game because whenever I start to get fired up about a boss I'll think "well think how long it took!" and then I feel bad.
@@generalyousif3640 personally for me he was the only boss I really wanted to be done with. His first phase was just annoying and I always got hit at least once in the second. The fight is free from there but I just found it mostly annoying. He still is one of the best looking though. It's fine to have different opinion though. Flying aces was my favorite.
It's a shame the Devil and Angel are such a mediocre fight. The background looks awesome and like something out of Courage the Cowardly Dog. Most secret bosses in games are the true final boss and challenge for a game but Angel and Demon are just so bleh compared to something like Kurt Zisa from kingdom hearts. I was expecting a Demon Prince fight from DS3 and was let down hard.
Now that you mention it, I do see some “Return the slab” guy similarities with the background devil. Otherwise yeah, definitely on the lamer side of superbosses -Alex
@@Cytonox exactly. Kurt Zisa is a secret boss just like Demon and Angel. I compared it to ds3 just because the whole idea of two demons and one being aggro and the other passive.
It feels like a boss that’s on the scale of a King Dice miniboss or one of the King’s Leap challenges, which would be fine if it weren’t for the hurdle you had to jump through to get to it, along with the broken hourglass on the loading screen leading you to believe you’re in for a real doozy. I actually really did enjoy the initial gimmick, so I was excited to see how it’d be expanded upon as the fight went on, but it just kind of ended abruptly with that initial first phase.
Oh boy, the final phase of The Howling Aces was not what I could have ever expected! The rotating arena gimmick is horrifyingly amazing and the boss design itself, when I first saw, thought was a fanart, *it is really this insane, you guys!*
Something I really liked about the moonlight mob is that the second phase was designed around the unused boss “Light” from the Casino. Also the fake “Knockout!” screen got me good.
Esther is probably my favorite of the DLC due to her design, her expressions, the franticness of the fight itself, and her very morbid transformations. Her turning into a can of beef franks reminds me of a certain other death from Danganronpa.
5:40 Okay. I will argue. You either could've fallen to the lower level, or dashed to the lower platform on the left. What I find to be the easiest to the dodge the geese is to go on the lower level, and then jump and dash back and forth to avoid the spike gnomes.
Exactly. Like yes they give you very little options but you have options nonetheless. Nothing is impossible to avoid. There’s always atleast a small window to escape
honestly i tried this and either you can lower lvl, get hit by gnome spikes or dancing ones or the hammer gnome hits u. i tried dashing off and idk didnt work but ill lyk if it does
Devil and angel I feel are rather easy, you rarely actually need to turn away from one of the two and whichever devil sings summoning the pillar is telegraphed pretty well. But i think the fight needs 2 more phases I honestly think of the angel and devil were the first phase of a 3 phase fight it would be fine.
I genuinely loved the concept of the fight. Gettin into the rhythm felt hypnotic in a way but i agree it needed two more phases that furthered the concept in an even more interesting way
My ideas: phase 2 is in the knockout animation for them they get sucked into the devil's eyes. So phase 2 would be against him. Phase 3: I ran out of ideas lol
You DON'T need to save your supers for certain phases! Bosses only have one health pool - any excess damage you do in one phase carries over to the next.
I really liked the intro cutscenes for the mob and airplane dog bosses. I think it was really cool to show all the enemies and them just have them all spread out
I think I might be in the minority thinking that the Devil and Angel fight being top tier. The concept is extremely creative, and the gimmick was challenging, but very rewarding, getting me to keep changing left and right to dodge the attacks. I loved the fight, but great list overall! Subbed!
Obviously, everyone has their own opinions, but I feel like having either smoke bomb or Mrs. chalice's dodge roll made the fight really easy even when I didn't understand the mechanic.
Why dont people understand that its not luck based and you can beat it with more than one strategy. Also i dont like that the video paints it as a random fight with 0 pattern, its literally not like that at all.
I liked the concept of the secret fight, I.e. it was literally a balancing act between Good and Evil, but was hoping there was another phase with the bosses mechanic testing you more, suppose it was more a concept rather than a full boss fight though.
I totally agree with Mortimer at the top, the snowman phase was really cool and the fridge part was challenging in a fun way. Also I had more fun Playing Cuphead/Mugman on specific stages and Chalice on others. (Example being that Chalice was less fun on the howling Aces due to the parriable lazer.) Saltbaker's first phase was cool bit very disturbing to look at, and the second phase was creepy too, looked like something straight out of a Disney Movie Overall, here's my ranking of all the bosses including the main game (Based on how much I like the *battle* alone) 27 Angel and Demon 26 Rumor Honeybottoms 25 King Dice(Got start over 3 times in 1 run) 24 Goopy Le Grande 23 The Root Pack 22 Wally Warbles 21 Sally Stageplay 20 Chess Court 19 Ribby and Croaks 18 Glumstone The Giant 17 Baroness Von Bon Bon 16 Beppi The Clown 15 Cagney Carnation 14 The Devil 13 Calamaria 12 Hilda Berg 11 Moonshine Mob 10 Captain Brineybeard 9 The Phantom Express 8 Chef Saltbaker 7 The Howling Aces 6 Dr. Kahl's Robot 5 Esther Winchester 4 Djimmi The Great 3 Mortimer Freeze 2 Werner Werman 1 Grim Matchstick
You can escape the rising platform + geese + ground gnome scenario by dropping down from the platform and dashing to either side! If you kill the ground gnomes you can ensure that dropping down is always an option. That being said, it's not exactly my favorite boss either 🗿
Moonshine Mob is my personal favorite boss just because of the music and the scatting it has in it and also all the phases including the ant eater are fuckin superb. Howling Aces is my second because the music and it’s screen tilting is really intriguing. Winchchester is a great boss with it being the only plane fight. The pure chaos in the first fight is understandable hard but really has me clenching my teeth in anger. Mortimer Freeze is a boss that filled that missing snow themed boss. The flying popsicles in the second phase seem like pure luck to avoid sometimes but still not terrible. Glumstone the giant is how to put this, not basic but not as interesting to me personally. When you go into his stomach I thought that was great and the way you take it on but again not very interesting. Also your right about that rng in the first phase with all the geese flying it’s pure luck to get a platform that doesn’t go up. Devil and angels background is visually immaculate but the boss itself feels lazy which is ironic for a company being on their feet all the time.
I really enjoyed the secret boss. The sinister music, the ambience, the fact there is a gimming and only dealing damage to the devil drains HP. While it had no phases, the amount of things on screen was formidable and I never had 0.2 sec to stand still. Overall though, I think Saltbaker was the real deal. I ADORE the first phase despite being probably the hardest boss phase in the entire game. It never feels cheap but the constant amount of things on screen really pushes your focus to the max. I know some people dislike phase 3 and 4 but for me they were a moment of peace after the two insanely hectic first phases. Also, the art design after phase 2 is just superb, like a little apocalypse but instead of ashes it's all salt, what a touch. Was feeling a bit of inspiration from Gael's fight in Dark Souls 3. Same for the last phase, while not being hard at all, the salt torandos and his heart really felt like the climax of the whole game. 9/10 DLC overall, just needed 2 extra bosses and one run and gun level for a perfect score from myself.
If the Secret Boss was a better fight, it would have been incredible. But as it is, I like to think of it as just a cool Easter Egg and not necessarily another boss.
Damn, working at light speed over there! I couldn't agree more, I'd way rather a team take their time and release something brilliant. Everything was so creative and unique like with the base game. I don't know how'd I'd rank, I loved them all!
Jack here, yeah i stayed up until 3 am to post it running on like a couple hours of sleep. agreed too, basically all the bosses in this game are at least fairly special, i hope they make a sequel
I loved the game, and the dlc to it. I'm not complaining at all. This was worth the 2 year wait, and it makes you wonder if there could be another DLC? I doubt there will be, considering the title is called: "The Delicious Last Course."
I actually really liked the Devil and Angel fight. Once you understand how to move around the stage it's quite enjoyable to avoid the attacks by quickly turning left or right
Here’s how to make the Angel and Devil fight harder -have more terrain obstacles for the player to deal with -have more then 2 simple attacks -make the angel also a threat as well (it could either enhance the Devil’s attacks or heal him)
The point of the angel is to balance out the fight, I think the rest of the concepts you had are good but since you can turn to swap who's behind you making the angel an enemy seems unfair.
You missed something about moonshine mob. The first and second phase are based on scrapped bosses. First stage’s spider is based off of the scrapped spider aeroplane boss, The Flying Gentleman. The second phase is based on a scrapped boss called The Light and it shares exactly the same mechanics as the final boss fight. I believe this is something worth mentioning and consideration when ranking it
Coming clean, neither of us knew any of this stuff while making the video. While we’re big fans of the game now, neither of us were really following it’s development because we were like 11 years old or something when it was first gaining notoriety. That is a neat touch that they basically added old scrapped content though, I dig it -Alex
moonshine mob is my personal favourite. its mob themed atmosphere, the cool attacks everywhere, THE MUSIC• boy! and it's funny at the end with the fake knockout how it tries to trick you. and when you get the real one, the announcer coughs and says the real knockout😂😂😂
Mortimer freeze is definitely one of my top 3 visually appealing bosses from the whole game, but he starves you for parry’s during the fight, that for me pushes him back to only being in my top 10
5:41 the best way to dodge the geese crossing is to drop to the bottom and walk across, if you walk through the bottom without stopping you won’t be punctured by those elves and the time it takes you to do that is how long the geese cross for, if there are any elves already active down there deal with them swiftly and then drop down (also homing shot does acceptionally well in this fight and gets rid of those elves very easily)
Chef salt Baker is annoying because of the overwhelming projectiles but man did the developers do great on this boss. The first time I saw his phase two with the violin (viola?) I had goosebumps because of how thrilled I was.
Maybe, but it's also creepy to think what he did to those poor sentient ingredients. I have only seen the videos of Cuphead, but I get a very vengeful feeling over the fate of the ingredients, especially when they're shown to be fearing for their lives right before he kills them. It's one thing to make them sentient and use them as projectiles, but add to that the horror they go through as they realize their impending fate and using their remains for projectiles, you can bet that makes me mad..
Great video! I liked the way you guys analysed and shared your thoughts about each one of the bosses. I loved this DLC, all of the bosses were extremely fun and I liked the extra stuff like the chess bosses and the stuff with the broken relic. Also, I think the Angel and Devil fight is good for what it is. I also the fight was still nice, since the turning around mechanic was really interesting, and everything about it for some reason feels extremely unsettling. It makes sense for the fight to be short, since it's meant to be secret. Still, it would have been good if the boss had multiple phases I like all of the bosses, but if I had to rank all the main bosses from the game. This would be my ranking: 25. Goopy Le Grande 24. Rumor Honneybottoms 23. Ribby and Croaks 22. Wally Warbles 21. Sally Stageplay 20. Beppi The Clown 19. Baroness Von Bon Bon 18. Dr. Kahl's Robot 17. Djimmi The Great 16. The Root Pack 15. Cala Maria 14. Captain Brineybeard 13. King Dice 12. Grim Matchstick 11. Esther Winchester 10. Cagney Carnation 9. Moonshine Mob 8. Phantom Express 7. Werner Werman 6. Glumstone The Giant 5. Hilda Berg 4. Mortimer Freeze 3. The Devil 2. Howling Aces 1. Chef Saltbaker
My ranking would probably be 1: The Howling Ace 2: The Moonshine Mob 3: Chef Saltbaker 4: The King's Gauntlet 5: Angel and Devil 6: Mortimer Freeze 7: Esther Manchester 8: Glumstone the Giant
I feel like for the devil/angel fight, it would have been much harder had you not been given tue choice of picking cuphead or miss chalice. Also I feel it should be only cuphead and should not be able to equip any charms or supers. You have to beat the boss with only 2 weapons. That way you can’t just cheese the fight by dashing through the fire
An easy cheese strategy for the devil and the angel is to stand under the passive on and use chaser. If you position yourself right, the center platform will not hit you and any projectiles can be dodged with jumping or crouching. The fire wall can be dodged with chalice slide or smoke bomb and the only real threat comes from the readjustment make to the corner.
I really hated Ester. There's so much shit flying at you in the first phase (the eagles dropping dynamite are so cheap because you can't hit them) and I could never hold more than 1 HP by the final phase (which I never beat because I beat her through a glitch when she was vacuuming and froze, lucky me). Moonshine Mob is the best imo. Great designs, and the mob vs cops vibe is just so expressive and I love the little nuances like the police not actually aiming for you when they shoot. Plus the theme is so swingin I was tempted to dance while playing
Bro I’m sorry I had very little trouble finding the Glumstone fight. Hell, I fought him as my first boss, before the Moonshine Mob. I really don’t see how everybody is complaining about it being to difficult to find.
I can strongly agree with your opinions on the kings challenge bosses the only thing I don’t like about the knight is because he has one pattern and that’s it I get it’s just l parry and win and it never changes you just wait for him to attack then counter attack with a parry over and over and over again it gets boring to me
I agree that glumstone can be infuriating. However I feel it’s more manageable than you think. I S ranked him yesterday. The main thing about the first phase is taking out the gnomes at the bottom immediately and they shouldn’t be an issue. That damn geese attack was the source of most my retries but you can drop below the platforms. The gnomes on the bottom only hurt you after standing still for like a second or two
I thought the Devil and Angel fight was actually pretty cool. Very cerebral. And atmospheric. Didn't really feel like a slog for me because I was using the tornadoes. And I didn't use the smoke bomb either. Honestly it looks to me like you just actively made the fight un-fun for yourself. I mean, it's still not as substantial as the other fights but to me it felt like a unique minigame that wasn't bad by any means.
Alex here, I didn’t really kind it either. Definitely the least interesting boss to me still but I don’t really have an issue with it. I just stood still facing the guy across from me and dodge rolled under the lightning when it came by
It was so great to see another Cuphead video from you guys and I hope you guys consider doing another one, maybe based off difficulty or the run n gun levels. You guys are becoming one of my favorite channels, I absolutely love your content, and I hope you guys continue to make more videos, you're awesome! 😊✨
I wish Mortimer wasn’t shown when he was, they knew he was the best boss so it makes sense to tease the dlc with it, but it would of been amazing as a surprise

Remember this is my opinion so you disagree or agree then comment down below! 6: Chef SaltBaker: (This boss has a Unique attack and animation. his design is good but not my favorite, but the difficulty... The mountain giant is my favorite boss.just use converge shot on his head, chalice and spin your weapons quickly to kill the gnome. My winning run had no gold nugget thrown by the gnomes.
5:30 The goose attack on a rising platform actually is possible to dodge, and so is the bear that goes all the way left on expert mode. To dodge the goose attack on a rising platform, simply dash out of it. If the Gnomes projectiles are in the way, switch to the crackshot or chaser to quickly get rid of them throughout the whole fight, mixing this with charge shot seems to go a long way The bear on expert that seems impossible to dodge as Cuphead can be done by correctly timing your dash and landing on the very last "Gnome Spike on the bottom and remaining in the air as long as possible, or dashing back to the platform. This works only because the Bear's hitbox on the last few frames appears to be disjointed or cuts off too early.
In terms of overall presentation, I think I like the Moonshine Mob best. The seedy and grungy aesthetic, the character art, the 3-platform level design, the SONG, the bait and switch knockout foreshadowed by the snail doing the wallop announcement at the beginning, it's all just so damn good!!! And then if I had to rank the others, second best is Howling Aces, then Saltbaker, Esther Winchester, Mortimer Freeze, The King's Gauntlet, the Angel and Devil, then finally Glumstone!
I keep seeing everyone say the Devil and Angel boss was annoying or frustrating. Am I the only person who found it very easy? You just ride the cloud the whole time and occasionally turn around when something is about to hit you.
Damn shout out to the boys for putting in that work despite no wisdom teeth and running on 3 hours of sleep. Respect the dedication but make sure you also take time for yourselves
13:15 Oil... birds? They're snakes, the she's holding guns that say "snake oil" like the old western saying. Amazing video despite my dumb nit-picking, completely agree with Jack's ranking!
"Crackshot breaks this fight though".. Unfortunately crackshot can break the entire game if you want to. The green auto-aim weapon was fair because of it's low dps.
am i the only one who thinks moonshine mob/bootlegger boogie is the best cuphead boss? i mean all of them are good but i just love the style of it like selling alcohol that was iligeal back in 1930 and there are police ants too. then the music and all i just love it!
In general, Esther Winchester is my favorite boss, but I really feeled that the DLC payed off first when I faced Howling Aces 3rd phase and second when I faced Angel and Demon.. sheesh my mind bugged so hard in these bosses!
For the Moonshine Mob, spamming roundabout can be a pretty easy way to deal with the final phase, as its garunteed to destroy the bug balls, and you can just spend your time (Easily) dodging and positioning around the tongue.
Awesome video, Guys! I haven't played the DLC yet, but Cuphead is definitely one of my favorite run 'n gun games of all time -- second only to Gunstar Heroes. I agree that it's more important for devs to take their time to polish up a game, rather than rush out an unfinished project, as gamers ultimately want a great game to play, even if it takes longer to release. The same goes for Silksong, and the fact that it still hasn't been given a release date just gives me hope that Team Cherry are polishing it up even further. The final phase of Glumstone's fight reminds me of the Prince Froggy battle in Yoshi's Island. That fight turned everything on its head with Kamek shrinking Yoshi (instead of increasing the boss's size), leading to Prince Froggy eating Yoshi. You then have to battle inside of Froggy's stomach, firing eggs at his uvula to damage him. It's probably the most bizarre fight in the game but also one of the most memorable. The gimmick for the Angel and Devil fight seems like a poorer implementation of the one used for Yogleks & Omulgun in Ys 1. There, only one boss is vulnerable at a time, and each time you damage the vulnerable boss, they switch off which one is vulnerable and invulnerable. It can be a pretty tricky fight to get down since their projectiles can eat through your health bar quickly, but, with good timing and mastery of Ys's bump system, it's not too bad. I'm curious if you guys have ever played Gunstar Heroes. I actually never played it, myself, until earlier this year when I got the Sega Genesis Classics on PS4, and I was blown away by how great it was. Often heralded as one of the greatest run 'n gun games -- if not the greatest -- this 1993 title was probably the single greatest influence on Cuphead's gameplay, even including different weapon combinations you can obtain to increase replayability. It's not as much of a boss-rush style game as Cuphead, although there are plenty of bosses featured across its run 'n gun stages, and it even includes a Board Game Style stage that serves as a precursor to King Dice's roulette wheel (although far less frustrating to finish). Gunstar Heroes is on the easier side, as far as this genre goes, because you're granted a lot more health, but it still provides a decent challenge and has a fun story to playthrough (either in singleplayer or co-op mode). Seeing as you're both Cuphead fans, I thought I should recommend Gunstar Heroes to you, and it's easily one of my favorite Sega Genesis games. Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your next upload!

Fun fact: All of Moonshine Mob's phases are based on scrapped content from base game Cuphead, which is why the level is named "Bootlegger Boogie"
Bootleg is because they're meant to be a criminal gang making moonshine during prohibition
1 and 2 has some nods but what does stage 3 have?
Finally someone said it

I actually really did enjoy the initial gimmick, so I was excited to see how it’d be expanded upon as the fight went on, but it just kind of ended abruptly with that initial first phase.
Oh boy, the final phase of The Howling Aces was not what I could have ever expected! The rotating arena gimmick is horrifyingly amazing and the boss design itself, when I first saw, thought was a fanart, *it is really this insane, you guys!*
How about The Intro
Its so smooth asf
@@just_inker2584 why? fanart tends to be pretty good
I’ve seen a pretty impressive fanmade thing of Dark Souls bosses in cuphead a while back iirc, that was pretty cool
@@velvetdraws3452 yeah they are, but hes talking about the other type of fanart
@@mikagi261 oh...THAT fanart
Something I really liked about the moonlight mob is that the second phase was designed around the unused boss “Light” from the Casino. Also the fake “Knockout!” screen got me good.
First phase is also designed around the unused boss
Both the first and second phase are
The Moonshine Mob are bootleggers as indicated by the stage's name so they bootlegged the unused designs.
And I'm pretty sure the anteater is a reference to ants in the plants
And the unused spider boss
Esther is probably my favorite of the DLC due to her design, her expressions, the franticness of the fight itself, and her very morbid transformations. Her turning into a can of beef franks reminds me of a certain other death from Danganronpa.
Alex here, I have yet to play Danganronpa but I own and just started the 2nd one. Is this the one where that happens
@@Cytonox Nope. That would be the first game.
I love butter!
I remember that execution it was horrifying 😭
@@Cytonox butter
The knight being confusing and hard until you figure him out is exactly like him in regular chess
I didn’t find the knight confusing or hard just super boring. I feel like he had way too much hp
5:40
Okay.
The spike gnomes are never undodgeable, and even then the ground ones and hammer ones can be killed wayyyy before they attack
Yeah I liked this video but some of their complaints are on them, going underneath makes it easily avoidable
honestly i tried this and either you can lower lvl, get hit by gnome spikes or dancing ones or the hammer gnome hits u. i tried dashing off and idk didnt work but ill lyk if it does
7:44 I like that for the first part of chef bakers fight he uses almost all the ingredients you obtained during the dlc as attacks.
He uses the mints for the 2nd phase I think
@@Thepluhmaster Phase 3 could be a devil copy of whatever character isn't in action
Was quite tough for me doing co-op as the two would randomly change whose left and right they would interact with making things a bit finicky
@@Thepluhmaster the skull explodes in phase 3 and then an amalgamation of both will attack you in various ways
Esther and The Howling Aces are honestly my favorites from this DLC! I was pleasantly surprised at the aesthetics and the mechanics in their fights
The demon and angel fight is much better if you stand on the moving platform, it makes the attacks easier to predict and avoid
You DON'T need to save your supers for certain phases! Bosses only have one health pool - any excess damage you do in one phase carries over to the next.
I actually never knew this this is super useful info
It's still useful to save it, because it means less time spent in difficult phases.
@@Cytonox this isn’t true, bosses have a certain amount of health per phase.
@@jaroj1112 he's saying that excess damage gets carried over.
I learned that by watching speedruns
@@Brizzle12341 you can't use smoke dash, I don't think. I think you need the broken relic on as the charm.
@@eleanorcooke7136 No you don't, when I first beat it, I had astral cookie equipped
(Example being that Chalice was less fun on the howling Aces due to the parriable lazer.)
Saltbaker's first phase was cool bit very disturbing to look at, and the second phase was creepy too, looked like something straight out of a Disney Movie
Overall, here's my ranking of all the bosses including the main game
(Based on how much I like the *battle* alone)
27 Angel and Demon
26 Rumor Honeybottoms
25 King Dice(Got start over 3 times in 1 run)
24 Goopy Le Grande
23 The Root Pack
22 Wally Warbles
21 Sally Stageplay
20 Chess Court
19 Ribby and Croaks
18 Glumstone The Giant
17 Baroness Von Bon Bon
16 Beppi The Clown
15 Cagney Carnation
14 The Devil
13 Calamaria
12 Hilda Berg
11 Moonshine Mob
10 Captain Brineybeard

8 Chef Saltbaker
7 The Howling Aces
6 Dr. Kahl's Robot
5 Esther Winchester

1 Grim Matchstick
This is actually really close to what Jack and I’s combined ranking would probably look like, great minds think alike!

grim is the only boss I would gladly give the contract to
You can’t just put king dice that low because you got start over 3 times. It’s all about timing. The boss in self is really unique and cool

You can escape the rising platform + geese + ground gnome scenario by dropping down from the platform and dashing to either side! If you kill the ground gnomes you can ensure that dropping down is always an option.
That being said, it's not exactly my favorite boss either 🗿
fair enough, i didn’t have Crackshot equipped tho so i was in the bin
Just so you know, Esther is a heifer( female cow). I think she is inspired by Disney’s Clara-Belle.
But as it is, I like to think of it as just a cool Easter Egg and not necessarily another boss.
boss: is a COW named ESTHER
"i actually recommend following HIM"
Once you learn Angel and Devil’s gimmick, the fight is probably one of the easiest in the game. It looks really cool visually tho
This dlc is the prime example of quality over quantity
If I had to do 24 bosses that weren't nearly as fun or have the fun 8 bosses I love this
I love fights that have a different boss for their phases. Must be why I enjoyed The Howling Aces and Moonshine Mob so much
Damn, working at light speed over there!
@@Cytonox Nice work! Would love that!
@@Cytonox if they made a sequel I wouldn't expect it for at least 7-8 years
I loved the game, and the dlc to it. I'm not complaining at all. This was worth the 2 year wait, and it makes you wonder if there could be another DLC? I doubt there will be, considering the title is called: "The Delicious Last Course."
And seeing how it's "The DLC" and not a DLC, yeah it's probably the only one. We might get an extra boss added if we're lucky, though.
Esther and Mortimer have such beautiful art, god bless the designers
I actually really liked the Devil and Angel fight. Once you understand how to move around the stage it's quite enjoyable to avoid the attacks by quickly turning left or right
Here’s how to make the Angel and Devil fight harder
-have more terrain obstacles for the player to deal with
-have more then 2 simple attacks
-make the angel also a threat as well (it could either enhance the Devil’s attacks or heal him)
The point of the angel is to balance out the fight, I think the rest of the concepts you had are good but since you can turn to swap who's behind you making the angel an enemy seems unfair.
Esther was amazing along with the ost. What a well done boss fight
That is a neat touch that they basically added old scrapped content though, I dig it
-Alex
Esther Winchester was so hard to fight, but she was still the most fun I had in the DLC :). Plus the flower on her hat is so cute!!
I reckon Doggone dogfight and High-noon hoopla are the two best levels. Their visuals, audio, and gameplay make them overall great bosses.
moonshine mob is my personal favourite. its mob themed atmosphere, the cool attacks everywhere, THE MUSIC• boy! and it's funny at the end with the fake knockout how it tries to trick you. and when you get the real one, the announcer coughs and says the real knockout😂😂😂
Mortimer freeze is definitely one of my top 3 visually appealing bosses from the whole game, but he starves you for parry’s during the fight, that for me pushes him back to only being in my top 10
It would be nice if you guys combined both list and make a whole game boss rank
Yea I second this
5:41 the best way to dodge the geese crossing is to drop to the bottom and walk across, if you walk through the bottom without stopping you won’t be punctured by those elves and the time it takes you to do that is how long the geese cross for, if there are any elves already active down there deal with them swiftly and then drop down (also homing shot does acceptionally well in this fight and gets rid of those elves very easily)
The thing i love about cup head is the style man the animation and the art on it is just like your daily old cartoon
5:38 you can turn around while crouched, allowing you to dash while crouched. That damage was avoidable.
Still, it would have been good if the boss had multiple phases
I like all of the bosses, but if I had to rank all the main bosses from the game. This would be my ranking:
25. Goopy Le Grande
24. Rumor Honneybottoms
23. Ribby and Croaks

2: The Moonshine Mob
3: Chef Saltbaker
4: The King's Gauntlet
5: Angel and Devil
6: Mortimer Freeze
7: Esther Manchester
8: Glumstone the Giant

I agree tbh
On glumstone when the geese come out u can drop down and dash through the bottom of the screen to avoid the gnomes before jumping back up.
Oh my god I just realized you could move the plane by watching this. That woulda been helpful the hour it took to beat it
I feel like for the devil/angel fight, it would have been much harder had you not been given tue choice of picking cuphead or miss chalice. Also I feel it should be only cuphead and should not be able to equip any charms or supers. You have to beat the boss with only 2 weapons. That way you can’t just cheese the fight by dashing through the fire
You act like you want to play that
@@TheGreaterGamer1 well yeah, to have a great challenge at the very end of the game
This was another great addition of content. They were quite hard and very satisfying to complete
I'm pretty sure those are vultures.
Bro I’m sorry I had very little trouble finding the Glumstone fight. Hell, I fought him as my first boss, before the Moonshine Mob. I really don’t see how everybody is complaining about it being to difficult to find.
I can strongly agree with your opinions on the kings challenge bosses the only thing I don’t like about the knight is because he has one pattern and that’s it I get it’s just l parry and win and it never changes you just wait for him to attack then counter attack with a parry over and over and over again it gets boring to me
I was waiting for a video like this since the dlc came out
Great video
Depending on how this video does, this very well could happen! Glad you liked the video! -Alex
sure everybody thinks the angel & devil boss is bad but i think its cool that he returns
"Worst" in this case meaning "slightly less preferable form of awesome."
Mortimer Freeze's first phase has him slapping you with a Walrus. If that's not good enough for you, smh
I’ve had a giant poster of a Walrus in my bedroom for 8 years for no particular reason other than thinking they’re cool animals
-Alex
“It’s impossible not to take damage in glumstone”
*shows clip of him just sitting on a rising platform directly into damage and not jumping down*
I beat Glumstone first try- I found him very easy but it’s different for everyone
I wish Mortimer wasn’t shown when he was, they knew he was the best boss so it makes sense to tease the dlc with it, but it would of been amazing as a surprise
This DLC taught me one thing. DON'T BE STUBBORN AND KEEP TRYING TO USE CHARGE SHOT

And this was my opinion of the DLC bosses. sorry if i didn't include the angel and demon fight, this comment just took like one and a half hour to write and i was very lazy. again if you agree or disagree comment down below!
Mortimer was definitely my favorite. Super cool boss and awesome phases. Incredible music too.
I want to see how the bosses rank with all the others
The mountain giant is my favorite boss.just use converge shot on his head, chalice and spin your weapons quickly to kill the gnome.
My winning run had no gold nugget thrown by the gnomes.
salt-baker boss is so well animated one of my favorite bosses but definetly not the first
My ranking:
7. Angel and Devil
6. Mortimer Freeze
5. Glumstone the Giant
4. Esther Winchester
3. Moonshine Mob
2. The Howling Aces
1. Chef Saltbaker
5:30 The goose attack on a rising platform actually is possible to dodge, and so is the bear that goes all the way left on expert mode.
To dodge the goose attack on a rising platform, simply dash out of it. If the Gnomes projectiles are in the way, switch to the crackshot or chaser to quickly get rid of them throughout the whole fight, mixing this with charge shot seems to go a long way
The bear on expert that seems impossible to dodge as Cuphead can be done by correctly timing your dash and landing on the very last "Gnome Spike on the bottom and remaining in the air as long as possible, or dashing back to the platform. This works only because the Bear's hitbox on the last few frames appears to be disjointed or cuts off too early.

Was waiting for this from you guys specifically✅
Please can you make the same list but ranked by dificulty?
You can guarantee Dr Khal or Grim will be at least in the top 5
In terms of overall presentation, I think I like the Moonshine Mob best. The seedy and grungy aesthetic, the character art, the 3-platform level design, the SONG, the bait and switch knockout foreshadowed by the snail doing the wallop announcement at the beginning, it's all just so damn good!!! And then if I had to rank the others, second best is Howling Aces, then Saltbaker, Esther Winchester, Mortimer Freeze, The King's Gauntlet, the Angel and Devil, then finally Glumstone!
This makes me wanna play cuphead
also the "ink birds" are snakes made of snake oil, and yes Esther is a girl (a cow-girl)
My Ranking:
1. Chef Saltbaker
2. Mortimer Freeze
3. Esther Winchester
4. Howling Aces
5. Moonshine Mob
6. Glumstone The Giant
7. Demon And Angel
Agreed
I keep seeing everyone say the Devil and Angel boss was annoying or frustrating. Am I the only person who found it very easy? You just ride the cloud the whole time and occasionally turn around when something is about to hit you.
Damn shout out to the boys for putting in that work despite no wisdom teeth and running on 3 hours of sleep. Respect the dedication but make sure you also take time for yourselves
13:15 Oil... birds? They're snakes, the she's holding guns that say "snake oil" like the old western saying.
Amazing video despite my dumb nit-picking, completely agree with Jack's ranking!
haha thanks bro
Man, the Glumstone Giant is so underrated. It is fun as honk to do with Ms. Chalice, and the attacks are pretty easy to avoid.
"Crackshot breaks this fight though".. Unfortunately crackshot can break the entire game if you want to. The green auto-aim weapon was fair because of it's low dps.
honestly this dlc feels more like least best to bestest best fr
am i the only one who thinks moonshine mob/bootlegger boogie is the best cuphead boss? i mean all of them are good but i just love the style of it like selling alcohol that was iligeal back in 1930 and there are police ants too. then the music and all i just love it!
I just realized that the first letters of delicious last course makes dlc
I think Chef Saltbaker deserved to be 1st place.
In general, Esther Winchester is my favorite boss, but I really feeled that the DLC payed off first when I faced Howling Aces 3rd phase and second when I faced Angel and Demon.. sheesh my mind bugged so hard in these bosses!
The “toys” that pop up from the ground in glum’s fight are actually still gnomes
A tip for the gnomes, the tracker shot is really good for ad control whenever they start popping up
For the Moonshine Mob, spamming roundabout can be a pretty easy way to deal with the final phase, as its garunteed to destroy the bug balls, and you can just spend your time (Easily) dodging and positioning around the tongue.
Just came to watch to confirm that the cow boss was one of the hardest so that I could feel good about spending so much time on it
using it for a few years and now I want to upgrade and I'm happy I did that.
I found out while playing Mortimer, that the roundabout shot absolutely destroys his second and third phases, especially the snowman.
Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your next upload!
jack here, ill check out gunstar heroes it sounds interesting
@@Cytonox Cool! It's a blast!
I think the new redshot is the best especially because you can kill for example the little bugs without a problem with the charge shot more
I don't care how long it takes for a studio to make a game/dlc, we were delivered a quality product at a very fair price.
Finally some one else is noticed the puppets
I had the chef as number 1 of the whole game taking over the train for me. Surprised to see it number 5
