Yep I listen to Christmas music all year round. I also, for the last 10+ years dress up as Santa on halloween and greet all the trick or teaters with "Merry Christmas." I always start Christmas shopping in July :) LOVE this vid! Very natural, very beautiful decor.
Don't apologize for your creativity and artworks, you are an artist, and just because you try a new medium doesn't take away from that...! You have an eye for beauty, people are right, you should run with it and do whatever you want! In 2020 I set myself a goal to put together an expo with my artwork, or at least sell it somewhere! I challenge you to do something similar, maybe it's a prints collection, maybe it's something else entirely, but let's be bold, and proud of our creative work! xxx

Very pretty! I can't wait to see what else you add. I am firmly of the belief that during Christmas holiday season, more is better! I add layer after layer of glitz and glam and candle light (artificial on timers). And I load my tree with so many ornaments, lights and adornments (pearl and gold wire garland, anyone?) that you can hardly see the green. I stick battery-operated candles in any window that has a sill, I decorate my front porch with lighted 4 foot tall trees, add a festive colored lightbulb in the porch light, throw battery-operated mini-lights on top of the faux fireplace mantel and decorate it differently each year, and I also have deer, which I "dearly" love, ha!

Super cute, you could also space the wooden bead clusters with knots in the string and an inch or 2 in between so its not solid beads...just to make it more affordable if needed!

Hi MaCenna, I love your style. The tree is amazing. Just a little tip for putting glitter on weird shaped objects; pour the mod podge into a bowl and add glitter to it, then you can glitter and glue in one easy step. 😊

FYI I went to pick up a tree and was told there’s a tree shortage. That’s why trees are getting more expensive each year. So in an effort to save a tree my family opted for an artificial tree this year. Just sharing some knowledge!
Someone at the tree lot said that too (as they were literally loading my tree onto my car) and I was like welp now I feel a little sad 😳 also that the trees only grow 1 foot a year!!! So my tree is over 8 years old 😢 I’m giving her a lot of love now
For the foam balls that are left over, use them to make fabric ornaments. They’re gorgeous and easy. There’s tons of videos on RUclips on how to make them. But you should try it. It would totally match your theme if you choose neutral color fabric.
To use the watercolor, especially Sennelier which has a honey base and can be really sticky only put a little in the well of your palette add some water into it and mix it. It will thin it so when you touch your loaded brush to the wet surface it will actually disperse.
Wowwww! Everything looks perfect! My problem with decorating is that I like a lot of different styles, so I always feel like my things don't all match 😬 but I'll definitely come back to your videos for inspiration! 👏😍
OMG I have the same problem and I'm in my 50's! I love the calm neutral look and then as soon as I achieve it, I want to go back to lots of colour and verdant green velvet couches. I exhaust myself sometimes with not knowing my own mind.
Thanks so much!! I’ve found that making a Pinterest board really helps me keep my style on track as I tend to do the same because I’ve designed lots of different styles for different people. I just constantly refer back to my Pinterest board and ask myself if whatever piece I’m looking at would go in that room 🤗
@@StephBer1 I like dark/goth styles, but also like the farmhouse/simple style (which we see EVERYWHERE). Trying to mix both styles and meh, it's ok, but doesn't look as good as how I picture it in my head 😅😅
@@MomOfBoys38 I totally understand. I think that would be hard to marry up, but maybe gothic candelabras in black and a few dramatic rugs/cushions. Which I'm sure you've already tried. 😂 Good luck. You'll do it eventually.
We always put up our tree second week in December but we leave it up till Little Christmas. Our tree sits in a five-gallon decorated bucket as a snow top mountain and a Christmas train on the bottom kids love the added train.

When we used to get our tree from a lot or tree farm they often looked too thick/full for me so I would selectively prune I would then used the parts that I pruned around the house as decor but it gave me a more natural tree with lots of nooks and crannies to hang ornaments in.
I wasn’t too crazy about the star, not my cup of tea, but I absolutely love everything else including the tv fire. It’s cozy and has grown on me. Great ambiance and has given me so much inspiration.

SO cute! I really like the idea of putting the candle inside of the tiny wreath, and I really want to get a large piece for my coffee table, like you have the large wood piece. My coffee table is dark stain wood on top and white wash on bottom. But I like white marble a lot! Maybe I can find a big piece of white marble (or diy one with parchment paper) for the coffee table?

Love the basket, the garland, and the artful writing! I would have liked the watercolor to be slightly more colorful, maybe in green, it just doesn’t read and watercolors are so beautiful. Idea for Kinsley’s stocking, or yours, tea or coffee stain one (or use real dye) so you have another color in your palette. Also thought leather initials might be fun. Then you can add leather filigree touches to your garland. Another idea to bump up the tree topper: use hot glue, followed by metallic paint and/or glitter, OR just dimensional metallic paint on the sticks. Maybe even use sequins, beads, or textural/sparkly buttons on the foam balls (both the base of the topper and as additional decor items...,Y e throw a few into a vessel or basket.
