My dad went to school with gok at babington comunity college here in Leicester so iv always followed gok love his food and fashion!! Will be making this tonight that's for sure.
I'm from Singapore 🇸🇬 and here we just call it egg noodles 🍜 😅we love putting in fish cakes , bean sprouts or cabbage 🥬 and omelette together with the noodles 😋🤤😋 however which way we call it its still yummilicious and a must have each week ❤
First time i ever heard/tried Singapore Noodles (with Curry powder) was in California in 1996. I'm also from Singapore and till this day, we don't have such a dish in Singapore :)
Me and my son always get Singapore rice noodle from the Chinese take away and I've tried a few from different places and my local one is my favourite one!! Just love the dish, so I'm definitely at some point will attempt this!!!
@@seansines No, keep forgetting about it! I get paid next week and I'm gonna put a reminder down to get the ingredients! When I do I'll let you know soon as 😊
Beautiful spoken and personality.. Love Singapore noodles, first time had this delicious noodles while I was in Singapore about 10 years ago. .Thank you Chef doe the recipe….
I think us brits habe called it that becuase of its spice level. When i order a chow-mein or noddles etc the Singapore version is always labelled as extra hot in the Chinese takeaways.
Singapore Noodles are NOT a Singaporean dish. The reason for the name is unclear but I personally think it is because of Singapore’s role in the spice trade with Indian spices then making their way to China.
Yes it’s not a Singaporean dish. Am Singaporean and you’ll be met with quizzical stares if you ask for Singapore noodles at the eateries and restaurants here. 😂 This noodle dish is from Hong Kong actually.
Can you please make a video on deep fried mushrooms, the sauce on them is amazing only the Chinese has gotten them to perfection, can't find good recipe on here for them I've tried lol
im self taught and non asian and id beat you in any asian dish in a competion live video , with no idea of what dish we will be cooking untill the day and time comes , that means you will have no access to videos anymore , as a non asian who loves asian food i will win , i wont need to tell stories about this is my asian grandparents recipies like you and many others do in these videos , i would bet my life that you just copy youtube videos , if i had a pound for every asian that says what you do on youtube id be so rich , i fed up with people faking by lieing .
You do not even know what noodle is, in old enlgish it is the back of your head, in modern etymology the word does not exist, because noodle is a coruption of the German word knödel, which is derived from the Czech word knedlik, which means boiled bread. The real word is Mi Hun or Mi Fan or Mai Fun, depending on the Chinese dialect.
I love his personality it draws you in lol
Love your presence. The way you speak about your parents. The Joy you give me when I watch your show. BLESSINGS Australia.

Interesting dish! But fun fact: as a Singaporean, I’ve never tasted the Singapore noodle ever before…
I think us brits habe called it that becuase of its spice level. When i order a chow-mein or noddles etc the Singapore version is always labelled as extra hot in the Chinese takeaways.
No kidding aye, it’s fascinating to see each country’s take on foods we’re familiar with
As a fellow Singaporean I've never tasted egg noodles with garam masala mixed with sesame oil 😅indian & Chinese fushion noodles 🍜😅

Can't find a link for quantities, any idea how much curry powder he uses please?
@Oliver's mummy have worked out what works for me which is half tablespoon per 2 nests of noodles.🙂
@Oliver's mummy what I would say is i like a medium heat curry taste, if you . If you like full on heat go for the tablespoon per 2 nests.🙂
Gok is groovy 😎
cringed a bit at some of the euphemisms but that looks divine & im trying it tonight
i don’t see how this is much of a singapore-style
adding the bean sprouts before the noodles will make the sprouts all soggy
That egg...dang...!!! Fry the egg separately I recommend but each his own !
Garma masala ?.... look like your using yellow noodle and not rice vermicelli... looks good but absolutely needs to be vermicelli
your clever for faking it ,
Bro named Gok 😂😂😂

Why Garam masala, madras paste and curry powder, surely the GM or Madras on their own should be plenty?!
