At the beginning of the play Ja’far is wandering around in the kingdom reading Wicked. He’s ecstatic when the bookstore owner says he can keep the book and he’s so engrossed in it he bumps into people. I guess when Sherrazade left he couldn’t bear not hearing her stories, and after he meets her he loves all the stories she tells him.
Starkid wrote this amazing musical, and managed to add in lines like "HE FUCKED A TIGER" without ruining the mood, or making the rest of the musical seem like cheap jokes. This is one of my favourite musicals of all time.

I love how their musicals can either be "He is at once familiar and unknowable to the frightened girl he meets along the way and to the girl's surprise something in her eyes beckons her to know him and inspires her to say 'I want to know your story'" or "HE FUCKED A TIGER"
I’ve listened to this a million times and just realized Sharezad sings “I’ve so much to learn” at 1:23 in the exact same way that Jasmine does in The Power in Me BRB I’m dead

So you know how sheherezade is from the story of Arabian Nights, where she is kept captive by a prince in a tower and to avoid being killed, each night she tells him a story with a cliffhanger so he keeps her alive (or something like that)? Well, she gets taken and kept captive by the sultan and she has just learned the last of her 1001 stories so maybe she does that with him, if that makes sense.
India CR Didn’t Sherezade die in childbirth? That’s 9 months being pregnant, and if she gave birth late at night it might have gone into the next day plus spending 2 years together..... it makes sense..
The Lyrics that Kaley McMahon wrote for this Musical are so good. They especially shine in this song and in "If I Believed". The Lyrics of Twisted songs are the best of any starkid musical and I really hope she's involved in more starkid musicals.

The sequence from Sands of Time to A Thousand and One Nights is one of the best written segments in all of musical theater, this show is truly a masterpiece

Each song in the musical is based off a Disney song. Twisted is poor unfortunate souls, The Golden Rule is the Bare Necessities, The opening song is Belle, Take Off Your Clothes is A Whole New World and Everything and more is Part of Your World. There are little echoes.
