This video itself is a lovely work of art, and like all your videos and work, brought me a quiet happiness. Your latest stitch journal page is exquisite. I so look forward to your videos; thank you for sharing your home and work!
@@sheilafelton9957 - oh that is so lovely of you to say! Many thanks; and I love the term you used of ‘quiet happiness’. Exactly how I feel when I’m in my studio xo
Your creations are amazing. Thank you for sharing them with us. ………Contentment. 💖💖💖
A visit with you and your art is peaceful and enjoyable.
What a beautiful property you have Rita. So enjoyed watching your podcast. Well done for being invited to be a quilt judge as well.
@@karenharris - thanks so much! We love living here 😊😊 I feel excited and a bit nervous about the judging …
If it wasn’t because I live on the other side of the world I would come and visit. Lovely piece.
@@lisbethdegn-dragenkunst - you would be most welcome! Thank you 🥰
Thank you. You created a moment of calm reflection in a day that promises to be too busy
Beautiful work in sunny Crete on holiday peter❤xx
I find your paus[ed] stitch collage amazing , so beautiful! Your work is wonderful, thank you for sharing !
Really like the closeup section😊
Very much enjoying your new format, it reflects your making beautifully. The closeups at the end leave me wanting so much more of them. Thank you, Jenny(NZ)
@@jennywren2395 - thanks so much! I have learned a lot since I started this series in January; so glad you like the new format 🥰😊
You have certainly come a long way with your camera work, Rita - I loved just sitting here drooling over your work. I am also a fan of Dale and have bought many a things from her - will be visiting Perth in November so will pay her a visit. Let me know if you want anything brought back!! Thank you for sharing.
@@Umus0 - thanks so much! It’s been a steep learning curve but I’m loving it 😊😊
I am surrounded by blooming black wattles....just recently used the flowers to try dyeing....the wool came out a camel colour and the cotton extremely pale camel....added a couple of rusty nails and the wool became a donkey colour...gorgeous.
@@medacredland3461 - I’m hoping to give them a try next week; can’t wait! 😊😊
Could you possibly film a few highlights of the quilt show you are judging? I’m sure it would be of great interest to a lot of your viewers. I Will never get to Hobart unfortunately. It sounds a lovely, arty place to live. Enjoying your channel, with thanks
@@pamelavandy290 - yes I will! I shared lots of photos last year also when I went (on Facebook). I might turn them into a video also. Really glad you’re enjoying my channel too 💕😊
I watched this one on the tv and am just now leaving a comment from my computer. We don't have time for baking, was that a Freudian slip? LOL I LOVE what you did with the wool strips and when I saw the original entry in your journal I knew I wanted to give it a go too... I've been playing with strips of cloth for a few weeks but am always drawn to wool for some reason. I just finished dying a huge stack and this week I am playing around with some of it.
SideBar: I get such a kick out of the fact that you live in Tasmania, I know that sounds odd, but growing up I watched cartoons with the Tasmanian devil, Taz, I always thought it was a made up place. 😂 I love what you said about being content...
I got a gimbal this summer, they are amazing! 💜💜💜 Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!
@@JeriBellini - my pleasure! And wool is such a lovely fabric to work with… I had no idea why I said baking and then my daughter pointed out the connection between basting and baking (as in roast chicken etc). 😉🙃 I remember thinking a similar thing about Tasmania when my parents talked to us about moving there; it seemed so exotic and distant, but it’s home now. And I’m loving the wattle blossoms at the moment! 😊😊
Where can I buy undyed textiles for eco dyeing. Silk fabric, rods etc. Also undyed wool fabrics of varying thicknesses, undyed threads and such. I'm in NZ but it seems impossible here as everything is already dyed. Would much appreciate your help or anyones. Thankyou😀
@@jennywren2395 - I keep an eye out for pale-coloured wool blankets, fabric and yarn at thrift shops, garage sales and even Facebook marketplace. I also buy other things like vintage undyed silk or silk thread from The Thread Studio online, and occasionally from Beautiful Silks, also online (when they are on sale, remnants etc). People do give me old table cloths and vintage napkins too, and even used cotton sheets! You’ve just got to keep looking and keep your eyes and ears open xo
I have tried to buy you a coffee a couple of times but card is always declined. There is nothing wrong with my card so it must be something I am doing wrong. Can you help me?
@@judytwitty4427 - I’m sorry there’s been a problem and thank you so much for the kind thought! The only thing I can think of is maybe the type of credit card … and it won’t work with just a normal debit card. If you are able to try with a different card or even PayPal that might help you to isolate the issue. I’ll have a look also but I’m no expert! 🥰
@@gonerustic Thanks! I will try again today. Your work is sooo inspiring!
