@@HighAdventureVideos fun fact did you know crabs are nature's beer bottle openers and bloody delicious you should come to central Illinoisan some time it's beautiful here and the fishing is good
I’m sure it’s just like monkfish the thing is you gotta understand that toadfish is like a monkfish. It just sits on the bottom and moves probably hardly at all saying motionless to try to capture its prey. That’s why there meat is soft because they don’t move around that much.
I noticed when you cut up mullet you get out your cutting board in your knife. you should try what I do. I hate messes and always having a clean this and that cutting board and cleaning the knife is extra. What I do is I use a really good pair of scissors to kinda you would use in the kitchen and I use that to cut all my bait chunks and a split second super easy and no mess. The only thing I have to do is just dip scissors into some water and make sure you rinse it off at the end of the day with freshwater when you get home so it doesn’t rust. I usually bring drinking water and then when I’m done using it for the day, I’ll rinse it off before I leave the water. And if I’m gonna clean my fish to eat, but not fillet it, then I would use one of those scissors and with one swipe I can use the scissor to cut off the head the tail to get it to cut off all defends if I want to no problem so fast, I’d like to see you try it.
Once the fish is skinned, the meat can be filleted from the backbone and cooked in strips as with any catfish recipe; they are excellent eating when fried.
Man, that sucks you had a bad toad fish. I've never had a bad one. Maybe the water is different up here in Virginia. When I catch them large enough, I never throw them back because they're so good. Great video btw!
It ain't got no gas in it. 😂 Louisiana Delta angler on the Mississippi River. Mostly fish for big flatheads and blues but there's some of most everything down here, but yankee fish 😂. Takes an 80#'er to get a second look. Good pull, for sure. I release almost everything, especially the monster cats.
Enjoy your video, not sure if your pan is non stick coated but if it is and it’s scratched like that the nonstick coating can end up in your food and it is toxic. I never knew until someone informed me . Look forward to your next video !
I always catch toadfish while fishing for perch on the Patuxent River in MD. I normally bring them home with me and bury them in the garden. Tomato plants grow wonderful in the toadfish cemetery in my yard.
Hey man, your main engine seems like it’s having a fuel starvation issue. I’d check your fuel supply line for kinks, then check the primer ball to see if it’s losing pressure. If it’s losing pressure replace it or replace the crimp fittings on either end of the ball. It’s good to fix fuel starvation issue, if you continually run your engine out of fuel it can cause long term damage.
I had the same problem before and inside a marine fuel line the outer hose has an inner liner and the engine will run fine until you rev up then the inner liner will collapse and starve fuel. Then restart easy and idle normally until you rev up again. Change your fuel lines every couple years. Fixed my problem.
I’ve never been to Sea Sea’s, but I love her, especially after her skeleton decor triggered someone, and had no time to waste on some BS conversation. Thank you Sea Sea! We see (sea?) you!
21:30 You put 3 lines out... How many lines can you legally fish with there? Most states only allow 2 per angler. I doubt you'll answer... I may have to go look it up myself...
@CGLFishing Thank you for your reply!!! I didn't know. Everywhere else I've been fishing they only allow two from land. I don't know of any special license is that would allow for more per angler in the states have been fishing... Thanks again and good luck with your future endeavors!!!
Watching your videos already got me wanting to go fishing again, I just got a Shimano Curado DC baitcaster yesterday for $60 from a guy on fb marketplace and I am ready to give it a go. Seems solid so far
The HighAdventureVideos Halloween special sounds great but sadly enough I live in Michigan to far to go to cc bait and tackle shop This is why people recommend you make fish cakes out of mushy/grainy fish meat or the fact they have sand in them which means you have to soak the meat in a bowl of ice cold water and salt dump out first water go again then rinse meat with cold water them let it sit in a bowl of water with ice to help toughen the meat to make it less mushy amazing video as always I can't wait for the next one
You have some kind of gunk in your fuel tank/lines or, in particular the little screen in the pickup tube in the onboard tank. I fought with my 18' starcraft for 2 years (alaska), because when I changed the tank sensor unit, I stuffed a wad of paper towels one late afternoon into the sensor mounting hole until I got a new one. Next weekend on the lake, wife's driving & it suddenly quit. Puzzled, I checked the on/off valve from the tank, as sometimes she had forgotten that before. All good there, and it would start up again and run all day at idle, but give it anymore than 1/4 gas, BWHUUU. But whenever it quit like that I noticed the primer bulb was FLAT! A small bit of p-towel, no bigger than a q-tip had made it's way to the intake screen on that valve. Took me a long to find that. New fuel lines, drained & reverse pressured tank. Removed screen, installed a Raycore filter & not a problem ever again
Alright for future reference Grays Landing is where you should have gone. Anything on a hook you will catch a Toad fish within minutes. 8 days is craziness.
There are two types of toadfish. Oyster toadfish, and the one you ate is the gulf toadfish. The poisonous one. They oyster toadfish is the one people like to eat in florida
@ I saw you gave it the Hahk tuah over the side! 😂 Most fish is edible. But some is really nasty. My son and I caught a bunch of white perch one time. Good size ones like 12”. I kept a few and we fried em up. It was like fried boogers with bones. Awful, don’t do it!
I think it would be cool to use freshwater "trout" or "bass" lures to see what you can catch... like a jerk bait or rooster tail...or get crazy... name the video Will Freshwater Lures Catch Saltwater Fish?
Nasty fish to eat ! I also believe they have a mild toxin that can enter the meat when cleaning. (would explain why 1 tastes bad and not the other) sandy oatmeal is my opinion. They say catfish is bad but taste pretty good. PS every fish you caught other than those tastes great. Love the videos, keep em' commin.
Shrimp you got to have a air bubbler or rig a village pump into a PVC pipe. Cap the end of & drill holes so it's a water sprayer in your bait well. Same thing bait camps do to sell live shrimp.
Bubblers do work great. We also just used to do it the old fashioned way, the bait bucket. Shrimp usually lasted all day as long as you don't forget to drop it on the water when you are not driving. Just hung it by a clete. Same as livewell, don't put mosquito sprayed hands in bucket and you should be good. 👍
Scraper on a shovel stick. Scrape those pilings into the water. How many sheepshead do you catch? That crusty crap is what they eat to start with. Feeding frenzy
I tried the toad fish one day assuming it was better than anticipated. But I was wrong. Big toad still equaled a small poor tasting morsel. Onto the next trial and error! +FISH ON+

Teflon comes off the pan in your food when you use metal utensils, use cast iron instead.
Greetings from Beaufort! Have you tried eating mullet yet? I hear it’s not bad.

Cmon maaaaan. Won’t eat toadfish skin but a rusted pan is still acceptable 🤣🤣🤣. Stop eating rust M, we need you around a lot longer

Ok thanks man! I ended up replacing the cranking battery and it seems fine now, I think the cells in the battery were not holding a charge well
No kidding? I’ll put that in my hat for future trouble shooting ideas on my boat. Thanks brother.

You’re lucky here in Florida. It’s only one red and it has to be at least 18 inches but at least we can catch up to 27 inches.
Ya bro you don't need to catch four keeper species for a slam you just got to land them. Great trip great video brother.
Could be a power pack issue on motor
So ended up being the battery
Glad you got it solved. Beautiful boat
Our truck would do the same thing. All we needed was a good tune-up on it.
NO WAY! You took one for the team😂😂 always wondered if they were edible.

Those toad fish look narly but look cool to catch, thanks for the video
Thank you for ‘testing the waters’ so we don’t have to!!
You should try using a tandem rig with artificial to target flounder and fish the openings of the small little streams and canals
Ace is so much more real and relatable. This guys too much

My guess would be the Crank Sensor for your engine trouble
It’s Air in your fuel line Micah! Bleed out your line and your motor will be good as new!
