  • Philadelphia has an iconic art museum but some of the city's most impressive art is out on the street, thanks to the city's mural program. Anthony Mason reports on how splashing some color on city streets has lifted the spirits of the community.

Ms. Golden’s enthusiasm is so inspiring and truly brings tons of admiration and respect to her and the work that she’s already done and will definitely provide into the future👏🏼🙌🏼

Powerful work of art that has depicted many stories of real lives. I love it!!! Created by many people who were incarcerated, but felt so uplifted by being a part of this project. It has changed so many lives!!! I would love to be a part of this teamwork effort by revitalizing neighborhoods with my creative skills, and bringing about a newness of life to those who fell down or felt forgotten. If anyone knows the woman in charge of this project, Jane Golden, I would love to connect with her. I am so serious!!!! For real, for real!!!!

Just a beautiful story. I've been trying to photo every mural/graffiti artwork in the city since I retired in 2011. So far I've gotten about 590 stills, (I'm a still photographer). Jame Golden stated there are about 4000 murals in the city...I still have a long way to go.

This is good....but this is sanction controlled street art. Which goes against what every street artist believes in. She said tagging is vandalism and she is correct but street tagging is so much more.

@Vanamalidas482 @Cash Jordan I tagged you both in this video, hoping you would watch it and see the difference between spray paint graffiti and mural of art.
