THANK YOU Genna! I’ve been debating with myself about starting an Esty shop. As a 6th generation crafter I am always trying new crafts and bettering crafts I have done for years. I’ve been crocheting for over 40 years. I’m very comfortable using thread as well as many different types of yarn. Your channel has inspired me to learn Amigurumi. I donate many items to my local senior center as prices for bingo. Yet I have almost reached retirement age and would love to supplement my fixed income. Since I love doing my crafts I thought beginning a shop now would benefit me in the future. Predicting how a variegated yarn ‘pattern’ is so unpredictable that I prefer to sell finished products. I’ll keep your comments in mind as I begin this process. Thank you again for showing me the ropes as much of it is planning ahead…business name, logo and what to offer! You rock!
I greatly appreciate all the tips and tricks. I have been contemplating creating a shop as I work towards my goal of being a stay-at-home mom (once we have kids, lol).
My etsy is kinda already getting to the point of being established but I still learned a lot from you! I'm a beginner corcheter and I love your channel and your energy!
Your videos make me smile so much. I'm considering taking up crochet now because your little plushies are so dang cute and I think it'd make me happy to make some.
So very true about asking for reviews- I feel it’s too needy and it’s pressure to be socially polite rather than honest. Also, it’s creepy. I bought something, not having a relationship.
I stumbled upon your channel yesterday and watched every video and subscribed. You are the greatest crocheter ever and you are also so funny. You are amazing and inspired me to crochet things I never thought to. I would be crocheting for a year in December. I luv u!!!!!!
Oh my gosh this comment literally made my day :) Thank you sososo much! It makes me so happy to think people enjoy my vids and feel inspired! Happy crocheting :')
Thank you so much for sharing this information! It is very informative and just what I was looking for. You answered all my questions about Etsy. I’ve been thinking of opening a shop but didn’t really know the tips and tricks.
Thank you. I have an Etsy shop and no sales yet. Your tip on using Etsy ads was great. I didn’t even know there was such a thing. So I’ve set it up and praying for success. I don’t need much but 500-600 per month eventually would be great. Thank you again.
🥰Thanks for this video! I'm about to open a new Etsy shop after +5 years since I closed my first shop. I'm a bit afraid since I used to sell crochet dreamcatchers and mandalas and now I'm going to start selling plushies + I moved from Spain to Norway. So new country + a different kind of handmade product, haha!
Excellent tips. I have always wanted to have a little online shop. Why not make a little coin from my hobby! Heck, i'm always making things for friends and family so i might as well 🙂 It's definitely something I've thought about over the years but have always felt like i didn't really have a neich. I'm a firm believer in the Universe providing a way if it's meant to be. Your content is always fun and informative to watch. Maybe someday i'll take the leap 🙂 i'm just looking for that special item to crochet that really brings me joy because if it brings me joy than others will feel that. I've always loved to crochet flowers and even made my friends bridal bouquets. That would probably be what i make, if i did it.
I love this so much! Yes, definitely make whatever your heart desires and make stuff that you actually love making :) I think people sometimes get caught up with best sellers/what will sell, but I love the idea of just making what you love! You got this! Making bridal bouquets sounds like such a darling idea

Hello! I am thinking of starting an Etsy shop alongside my university studies next year to help save money to hopefully buy a house one day haha. I'm worried I won't have enough time around my studies. What sort of time does a part-time business take every week? Thank you! You've already been so helpful!
The time commitment definitely varies with the number of orders you’re making/processing, I’d say for me when I first started out it maybe was like 10 hours a week? But since my sales increased I’d say its more like 25 hours a week or more! Good luck, definitely a fun part time job to do alongside uni studies!!
Thank you so much for this video I really want to start my own business eventually, and I really appreciate the tips, you are very helpful and very genuine thank you sm
Good advice. I did my first market on the weekend and sold 2 things. My YT channel hasn't got many views either but I'm going to keep trying though and hopefully start Etsy ❤ thank you for the encouragement!
Thanks for your tips before I get started to sell on Etsy with my first time. But two more thing I'm hestitating. 1. Can you give me some tips and advice about which the best bank account should I open with the 1st time? 2. And how many plushies should I crochet to sell on Etsy? Let me know asap. Thank you so much.
Hi! Im not really sure about the bank account question, I personally have Bank of America but that’s just because my family has always used that bank. And in terms of inventory, I’d try to make maybe like 2-3 of the same item and have maybe like 3-5 different items for starters ❤️❤️
Nice video! Only thing is I have trouble with the free shipping. Maybe it’s just where I am but shipping tends to be so expensive that if i gave it for free without a price increase, I’d only break even. But if I increase the price it’s too high to be appealing to most people. Definitely a hard thing to figure out.
Thank you!! Yess, free shipping is a bit hard esp when it tends to be expensive. I never offered free international shipping, just domestic, but yeah definitely increase your prices a bit to try and make up for the free shipping! Even if it tends to make your prices a bit higher, I feel like a majority of people will still be very attracted to free shipping
