Heard Unionville which is part of Central Markham is flood pron. Is that so?

Informative video! got a scenario for you. My sister in law will be going to school in Seneca Markham Campus, my brother have an open employment visa, they have 4 kids (1) 16 yr old high school, (2) in Elementary & (1) toddler. Which part of Markham would be the most practical area to try to find an apartment. Considering schools as well as amenities & accessibility to public transportation. Budget maybe about CAD$1500-1800 (short term or long term) Moving this November from the Philippines. I would really appreciate any input. Thank you
There aren't much in the way of purpose built rentals in Markham so you will have to look in North York or Scarborough to try and find something in that budget.
