    Bobs been drinking his coffee. Clearly confident and knows his stuff. A great 5min low-down on the ski.

      I (Jeff) agree 100%. I was in the room for all of Bob's Ski Test filming and was consistently impressed by his poise and knowledge.

    Great video. Does it make sense to buy these as my powder ski and use my bent chetler 100 as an all mountain ski ? Or is it not much of a difference?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  2 года назад +1

      That makes perfect sense, yup! The Reckoner 102 and BC 100 are pretty similar, but there's a big difference when you jump up to the 112. Much more of a powder ski shape and feel. Hope that helps!

    Hi Bob and Jeff. Superb reviews all in all!!!! I have a very good offer for an 2021 Reckoner 112 and try to figure out, if this ski will suit my needs and which length (184 or 191) I should go with:
    I am 55 ys old, 193 cm tall and weigh about 95 Kg. I am an experienced and advanced skier but definitely NOT the fastest one! I already own a pair of Rossis Hero ST Ti (171 cm) for the hard pack and carving. I currently sold my old Seth Pistol (189) and am looking for a replacement now. I am undecided between the Reckoner 112, Blizzard Rustler 10 (188) or the Rossi Sender (non Ti, 186). What do you think?? Best regards from Germany, Andi

      Hi Andi! The Reckoner 112 is an awesome powder ski for someone who doesn't ski super fast. It's more playful and very agile even at slower speeds, which is really fun. Rustler 10 has some of those characteristics too, although it's almost 10 mm narrower, so not nearly as much float. Sender is less of a powder ski and more of a strong freeride ski. Even the non-Ti ski still likes to go pretty fast as it has a flatter tail and it's still a strong build. So, I suppose the biggest thing to think about is whether you want this to be a floaty, playful powder ski or something different. Reckoner is such a great powder ski, but the Rustler 10 is more versatile, and the Sender is more powerful (also a little more versatile too as it's narrower). Hope that helps!

    I really like your channel. Both Jeff and Bob are making great presentation every time.
    I want to upgrade from my 2014 Volkl Gotama 186cm, which is 107 underfoot and full rocker, to a K2 Reckoner, but I really can't decide between 112 and 122, as It will be my ski resort powder ski. Me being 186cm and 106kg, I'm eyeing the 191cm option. What do you think guys, will the 112 be enough for my size? Or should I go with 122? I am more interested in the playfulness in the deep rather than demanding backcountry.

      If this is your only resort powder ski, I think it's okay go go 122. You might not use it as much as you would if you got the 112, but then again, you're buying it for a specific thing, so it's okay to have a specific ski.

    my weight is 71 height 179 tell me better 177 or 184? I prefer forest skiing. And what do you say in comparison with revolt 121? compared to reckoner 122

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  2 года назад +1

      184 would be my recommendation. Between the 112 and 122, the flex patterns are basically identical, it's just a question of whether you want something quicker edge to edge or something with more float. The Reckoner 122 definitely feels more like a true powder ski than anything else, more versatility in the 112.

    Heyy! Im looking at buying this ski, dont know if i should go for the 184 or the 191. Im 180cm tall and a pretty experienced freeride skier. Im looking to use the ski as my 50/50 backcountry/resort ski in the alps. Im thinking that the 191 is better for me considering the rocker profile, but i might be wrong?

      Hey Max! If I were you, I would go with the 184 cm length. In fact, I'm a very similar height, and that's the length I generally prefer in this ski. 191 would be fun sometimes, but I think it would be cumbersome more often. More float in the 191, but with the width and shape of the Reckoner 112, I don't think you need to worry about float in the 184 whatsoever.

    Any comparison between this and the candide faction 3.0 2022 model. So torn... half japan half west coast

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  2 года назад

      Gosh both would be a lot of fun for where you ski. I find the Reckoner has a little more torsional stiffness thanks to their construction. The Carbon Spectral Braid really works well. I do think the Candide has more float from the wider tips and tails, but both skis float really well, so not a huge concern there.

    what do you think between these and the armada arv 106?

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  2 года назад

      Reckoner 112 really feels like a powder ski to me, while there's a little more versatility to the ARV 106. The Reckoner feels lighter, definitely has more float, and is easier to flick around and maneuver in deep snow. ARV is more responsive on firm snow, has a little more overall stability, but doesn't float like the Reckoner 112. Reckoner 102 would be a closer comparison to the ARV 106 in my opinion.

    This is my favorite ski related content on the internet by far but you guys need to learn how to use the RUclips algorithm to your advantage because spamming a few thousand subscription feeds at 6pm eastern time is not it 😂😂

      Hint: RUclips loves daily uploads

    • @SkiEssentials
      @SkiEssentials  3 года назад +1

      First, thanks! Second, it's tough releasing 332 videos. We've discussed it internally a lot and I've reached out to some people at RUclips for their opinion. I agree that daily releases would be better in a lot of ways, but the Ski Test functions better as a whole entity rather than in parts. Also, with that many videos, daily releases would take a long time, and even if we did something like 10 per day, it would be over a month of releasing a ton of videos.
      I do really appreciate the feedback and we'll continue to reassess the best methods for releasing this quantity of videos.

      @@SkiEssentials that makes total sense, thanks Jeff! I'm definitely partial to staggered uploads but the Christmas-morning style content dump is fun too 🎄🤙
