Great Impressions, we need more Tiger units in the reenactment world, especially here in LA. It would be great have a group at Camp Moore and New Orleans.
I was in the 12th for this event and confederates always do a bang up job. The yells always chill my blood and make it feel real for a couple seconds. Side note: My first event was as a guide on bearer for the 150th Cedar Creek, and when the Rebs came over the hill and started hollering, I nearly shit myself
I am wanting to put together ether a 1st Louisiana or Tiger Zouave uniform impression but We’re do I acquire one from? Is there a uniform company that makes them or are they only special order? And if so from were?
This is a disgrace to the tiger uniform next a real tiger would die before they run away from a fight. And also the tigers would never have any soldiers that way 400 pounds
wow. good job Raymar guess you never read the part about the battle of Manassas where the Tigers DID run away after smashing into the 1st and 2nd Rhode Island. They broke and ran and after they assumed Wheat was dead most deserted. When they realized he was alive, they came back to the ranks. way to know anything about the Tigers.
raymar Martin I think if you were being shot at, seeing your best friends with their heads and torsos torn off from lead bullets and see your captain, the man you look up to killed..... you would probably run away. The tigers did at Manassas junction
The Gaming Channel well, it was in Louisiana..and the french ceded Louisiana which is known as the Louisiana Purchase which regarded with Thomas Jefferson.

I want to build a tiger impression so damn bad. But I need help finding resources: like a pattern for the pantaloons. Any guidance?
Patternsoftime.com
Bnbtart.com is the source for correct pantaloons cloth
What is the “Derry Down" thing that guy was talking about and where can I find it?
The guy reading from the book looks like Obelix from Asterix the Gaul.
Sorrry I couldn't resist that, but hats off to those guys they look great.

They are usually special order. Old Timey Rags, Beauregard's Tailor, the Honest Sutler... They are on FB and make them
Much obliged👍🏻
That last bit was done for Jeff Trexler correct?
Where were y’all able to find the period correct material for the pants?
Ben Tart made a special run for us
My ancestor was Roberdeau Wheat
0:45.....All that bright clothing!! Careless back then, a snipers dream!!..And both sides wore such silly things! (Zuaves!)
These should be called the “obese wheat tigers”
well, Raymar, you clearly have never read any history books on the Tigers. So anything you say hereafter is disregarded.

@@krizzby thanks for the info never knew that seems like a colorful history of the tigers
very French looking uniform.
The Gaming Channel well, it was in Louisiana..and the french ceded Louisiana which is known as the Louisiana Purchase which regarded with Thomas Jefferson.
The Louisiana Tigers were also Zouaves which were inspired by and "mimicked" French troops
While i hate confederates (though im from jeff davis parish funnily enough) the confederate uniforms especially the tigers, rock
can't deny that
