Not sure I’d go that far. There are a lot of jobs in field women can do and do well. However if you can’t lift or drag the POTUS TO the area of safety you don’t need to be on the personal cover detail. They could be placed in a different role.

I hope everybody reads what I’m about to say. The Secret Service woman had stated after the first shot from the shooter. He was taken out. So how come we heard eight shots. She is lying.
Same thing every time with these ridiculous hearings, they never answer a single fricking question! Why is she even there if she's "not going into the specifics of the day"? That's why you are there to be interviewed, at least ostensibly! What is the point of these hearings if they won’t answer anything? Pointless political theatre!
Okay, so what is the alternative? Just never question anything and just let the swamp do whatever in the shadows?
The point is supposed to be transparency for us, the people. We should be able to withhold elected and appointed heads of states/directors/high positioned public servants pay until they can either improve the situation they got themselves in or resign without any benefit. She shouldn't receive a paycheck this month... or ever again imo.
@profplum1301 Indeed, that just never seems to happen. I've watched quite a few of these high profile US hearings and they are always allowed to simply obfuscate and not give any answers. Sure, seeing that dishonesty is somewhat helpful but it gets tiring. They should be forced to answer, especially in a case like this where the Secret Service is practically a suspect in the assassination attempt of a very major political figure. The stakes here are unbelievably high, if Trump would have died it could have plunged the US and even Europe into chaos. World wars have started from less!
The gun control conversation is obviously what the Dems are most focused on. Please have this hearing and stay focused on the topic at hand. Today, that’s what we need to know. Fight about Americans’ constitutional gun rights some other time.

How is this waste of taxpayer's money not in jail right now? OMG, the roof that the shooter was on wasn't any steeper than the one the ss snipers were ON! They were told an hour before the shooting about somebody on a ROOF, the shooter flew a drone over the area hours before the event. Why in the HELL didn't the secret service have a DRONE in the air themselves? Why in the HELL was Trump allowed to stand up and be given a "Head shot" to a second shooter if there was one. After they covered him on the ground he shouldn't have even been SEEN again until he was SAFE!!! Completely INCOMPETENT and should be in jail for the life of a fireman, Dad, husband and HERO that this SO CALLED DIRECTOR snuffed out!

SS Director accepts responsibility but is not accountable for anything. No slap on the wrist, no pay-cut, demotion, firing, prosecuting or condemning which is absurd! If one accepts responsibility one pays the full consequences of what happened (damages to the victims, negligence and dereliction of duties to the bosses, fines and jail time). The SS aren't doing it for free. The perimeter was secured and that's why one victim is dead, and three others are wounded, with 10-12+ shots fired from at least 4 different weapons. The SS has secured over 10,000 different places where there wasn't anyone like the shooter(s) insisting on committing a crime(s). The problem is not this failed assassination attempt, it's the idea that with total lack of capacity, efficiency, transparency, accountability, enforcement... The SS and its director think that because there aren't victims in every event that they are somehow doing their jobs properly which can't be further from the truth. The local police did their job but again so, if they did their job why are there dead and wounded?? SS Director was not elected to public office and has nothing protecting her from being fired, prosecuted and condemned. (civilly and criminally).
The SS Director lied about having only SS employees at President Trump rally. DHS had trainees there that have no SS training and no idea what they were doing. Evidence is the clownshow where the SS personnel shows up to guard President Trump until the Shooter is neutralized, HOW IS THAT PROTECTING PRESIDENT TRUMP WITH THEIR LIVES?? HOW MANY SS Employees were shot at the assassination attempt?? HOW FAR WERE THE SS EMPLOYEES FROM THE RAIN OF BULLETS?? NO ONE WAS EVEN CLOSE (20-30 feet) from where the bullets flied by....HOW IS THAT DOING THEIR JOBS PROPERLY???

I applaud the fact that these 2 parties came together and united to address this issue, keep that up for the sake of America! What I didn't like was the left using this as an event to start preaching about guns! You will not take our guns!
