@@JamesHargreavesGuitar James... With regards to a reunion... What lineup do you think it would be?... If it was the original lineup ( or the 96 lineup)... They couldn't really play any songs from after they split... After giants, it wasn't really oasis anymore
Lots of inaccuracies in this video. I went to school with Paul (we never called him Guigsy back then) our first group of friends were mainly black, however when we moved to the Upper School racial divisions became more defined. Myself and Paul, used to hang around with mainly fellow lads from Levenshulme and Longsight. Chris was from Burnage and was originally my mate from Acacias School in Burnage. Me, Paul and Chris would go to watch Lancashire Cricket, but never to the football, as me and Paul were City fans and Chris was United. I have many more factual stories to tell, including being in a band Called Reluctance who played with The Rain at Times Square.
I had to give up after 20mins, as Mary is clearly talking nonsense. A chronic case of everybody else is wrong and I'm right. She is a bully and a bit of a psycho from what I've heard so far. No chance in heck she knows anything about what she claims in the first 20 mins, and is purely trying to discredit everyone.
Thank you. My thoughts exactly. Except I wanted to give up just before the 9 minute mark haha! This is simply not a balanced recollection. She insults Tony and Chris' interlect/literacy. Also rarely does anyone write their own book, there is nearly always a co-writer, this highlights her lack of knowledge. How would she know the incident with the school teacher didn't happen? I could go on. I still am not very fond of Guigs, not only from the books but, from his words and attitude in the interviews I have seen him in.
Definitely agree here. I don’t think she comes across as a very nice person. Bit like her brother to be honest lol. Basically just says people can’t spell and wants to hurt someone with a pool cue. Any sister is going to try and defend their brother, but that doesn’t take away the fact that Guigs was most probably a twat. In my personal opinion it’s why we don’t hear from him. There’s probably a bit of embarrassment there. James only seems to be agreeing with her so he can get the interview. It’s all a bit obvious :)
My personal opinion is (and it is only an opinion) but usually there is no smoke without fire. If you’ve got more than one source saying someone is a bit of a c**t then it’s probably true. Just like there’s more than one source saying bonehead was a smashing guy which is probably true also. Personally I think Guigs was probably not a very nice fella back in the day to certain people and I think this is why since leaving the band he has pretty much gone into hiding. He’s probably a bit embarrassed and maybe a bit guilty becauss of it. We all grow up. Also your sister is always going to stick up for you regardless. My favourite line in the Oasis supersonic movie was said by Noel Gallagher. He said Oasis wasn’t for wimps…..
Our band formed in 1990 and were called : The January rains, which always got abbrieviated down to 'The Rains. Gigged in and around Ofordshire and Northamptonshire until about 97. Didn't find out about Oasis's former name till years later. If they hadn't have changed their name, who knows.... May have been a law suit.
Did Guigsy make enough money from Oasis to live a comfortable life? I hope so. I often wonder how Bonehead and Alan White are, if they need to work or if their past glories from Oasis have ensured a life of luxury.
Alan White is definitely living good, he was there for Morning Glory, Be Here Now, SOTSOG, and Heathen Chemistry. Bonehead could definitely live a comfortable life, but he's a guitarist for Liam Gallagher now.
Claims the singer character assassinated the bassist, then proceeds to character assassinate and patronize the singer of a band your deaf Aunty could over complicate the bass lines. Nice vid.

So next big reconstruction will be "let's have a rave on the roof"
I read somewhere a member called John Morrin as well
played the keyboard in the rain for a couple of gigs
I'm early to this one.
Could someone please explain what kind of situation was that involving the beating of the Irish boys?
Rain reunion, original lineup.....right fu***ng now !!!!
Priceless photo of them at spike island,I heard about boneheads Jackson pollocks painted van through Noel but I imagined years ago it to be white tho! But that white paint wouldn't stand out ,didn't know guigs was there I've seen bonehead with 3 q of hair but had to double click him here .
Went school with Guigsy and Chris Hutton.Paul was at upper school when the stabbing happened at the lower school, she was right about the hit list coz i was on it we were told they couldn't guarantee or safety, all the real trouble happend on the anniversary of stabbing the year after,it was wild.
Do a video on scott mcleod
Did you read Liam's tweet about Noel? What do you think? It's like an earthquake
Yeah, don’t know what to make of it 😂
Help me here. I worked in a record shop at that time period. I had a cassette of a band I thought was called Rain or the "The Rain". The cover of the cassette was a woman with a fully body painted yellow/green snake on it. I have never been able to find this album or what the band was. We received a number of one-off EPs in those days and I wonder if it is the same band. Any ideas?
Track list?
I’ve always doubted whether Guiggsy could ever play bass .
That is a mighty, mighty beard 👏👏
I've read Tony mccarolls book twice but never considered in the least Chris's h book
Same here. Not even remotely interested but I'll bet he's made a few quid just from it all
@@Beatlestories its more accurate to be honest
Down at the pub when they were in school?
How does that work?
How old do you have to be to buy a drink in a pub in Burnage?
Gotta love the Oasis lore
Reunion thoughts?
I think the odds of The Rain getting back together are very very slim indeed... 😉
@@JamesHargreavesGuitar 🤣
@@JamesHargreavesGuitar What is your favourite Oasis song James? DLBIA?
Yep, DLBIA 👍👍🎸🎸
@@JamesHargreavesGuitar James... With regards to a reunion... What lineup do you think it would be?... If it was the original lineup ( or the 96 lineup)... They couldn't really play any songs from after they split... After giants, it wasn't really oasis anymore
I remember the stabbing. My dad was the ice-cream man in Burnage at the time and was very upset
Did you know Noel and Liam?
Well there's probably gonna be a reunion now that Sara has taken half of Noel's money.
She did stay around longer than I thought she would.
She knew what she wws doing ....Meg was the one who got screwed
Never happening.
I hope.
Noel solo project is better than a live tour for nostalgic parka monkeys.
@@SuperDavidGnomo Yeah I hope not either, unless they are gonna do another album. Reunions just for the sake of a tour/money grab are usually sheeite.
@@thadonis. a one off two night concert would be mega though
Did Mary know that Guigsy didn't play a single bass note on recording of DM !!
Hard to believe but true
I think noel played
Yes he did. Guigsy plays on all of Definitely Maybe except for Up In The Sky and Slide Away.
Chris Hutton could’ve been integral to the band in some way, in its early days.
Have you spoke to big un
Oasis were never the Rain. Two different bands
i wonder if Guigsy still smokes the mary jane
I love Bonehead and Guigsy…regardless of their playing abilities I’d wish they’d stayed in the band.
"As one of the more quieter members of the band"...haha I think that is not so difficult
10/10 🌍❤️☘️
Love guigsy life style
Well said she's full of shit
She's defo a psycho
I thought the same, everyone else is at fault, but her brother obviously.
It’s all a bit obvious :)
i read chris huttons book years ago and it was embarassing. it was like alan partridge saying ‘and i had the last laugh’ over and over.
Tony and guigsy were mates??? Wtf! Guigsy later is said to have threatened to run a knife through him
And it turns out tiny made it all up. According to James in another video
She haaaates Chris Hutton 😄
Our band formed in 1990 and were called : The January rains, which always got abbrieviated down to 'The Rains. Gigged in and around Ofordshire and Northamptonshire until about 97. Didn't find out about Oasis's former name till years later. If they hadn't have changed their name, who knows.... May have been a law suit.
Did Guigsy make enough money from Oasis to live a comfortable life? I hope so. I often wonder how Bonehead and Alan White are, if they need to work or if their past glories from Oasis have ensured a life of luxury.
Theyd have made a few million each id guess, depends on your lifestyle i guess.
Alan White is definitely living good, he was there for Morning Glory, Be Here Now, SOTSOG, and Heathen Chemistry. Bonehead could definitely live a comfortable life, but he's a guitarist for Liam Gallagher now.
👏🏻
Claims the singer character assassinated the bassist, then proceeds to character assassinate and patronize the singer of a band your deaf Aunty could over complicate the bass lines. Nice vid.
Too much white background hurts the eyes!! Lol
Agreed. Went to watch on my tele only 43” and was way too bright. Had to go to another doc.
