Finsbury park was my first oasis gig, Travelled 12 hours down on the Friday night got to London Saturday morning got drunk No ID check in London 🎉 smocked some weed had a mega time got back to Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon and the front page of the paper headline was (oasis to play Aberdeen) couldn't believe we spend 24 hours on a bus when they were coming to play a 5 minute walk from my house haha. Can't remember any of the gigs.
I remember getting this free on a DVD for something and thinking at the time it was the first time I had seen liam so unguarded and relaxed after years of the front and swagger he came across more human and flawed in this, watching it now he looks so much happier then than he is now, you also don't see noel laughing this much either quite child like almost around liam , clearly very close...
That's what it's all about: valuing your brother no more and no less. The two of them would still be making music today together if Liam hadn't been in his weird bullshit mode
The early 2000s, maybe Noel was a bit pissed off because Oasis wasn't the hype anymore and the mega hits etc.. but it was still going very, very well, the gigs were full, the fans were mad for it
He was pissed off coz his singer fucked up them being the biggest band in the world ever! How could you not get angry at that! Liam couldn't handle it was scared of America and wouldn't even do MTV unplugged!! Imagine trying to get big in America but you won't even do that! A complete fanny
@@dondamon4669That’s an overly simplistic and misleading reason for their lack of success in the USA. Yeah, it didn’t help them, but they also had no “niche” in the USA record industry. They weren’t quite “alt rock” post-grunge guys, and they weren’t mainstream Guns and Roses type of rock and roll. Their success also had a lot to do with “lad” culture and Cool Britannia which just didn’t connect with Americans whatsoever. Not to mention their overt class appeal.
@fshoaps When What's the story comes out and is a huge success and the day you are leaving the lead singer decides to stay at home because he wanted to buy a new house was pretty big. Then never mind the MTV unplugged gig that liam turned up pissed and spends night heckling the band didn't help. Then Throw in the live performance at the MTV award show and it was all a pisstake on america
Liam being honest at the start here! He can't even have a beer and not get drunk! He's a lightweight clown and the reason Oasis weren't bigger then the Beatles! Really messed them up in America so much
Nonsense... Noel's never been a depressive... nervous exhaustion maybe from taking to much coke... but seriously doubt he's on Valium or anything like that
Finsbury park was mental but i do hate Oasis fans as they don't get it! They think acting like noel or liam is it when its the complete opposite its about being yourself, tgeres nothing cool about being 16 and acting like someone else
How Noel put up with a mug like that for so long ill never understand! Imagine someone speaking that rude to you especially when you were beaten by your dad who acts the exact same as liam, liam nothing but a bully
I don't think Liam was really always as bad as their dad, you can't really compare them like that fairly - like yeah I get it, Liam was like that sometimes, but they clearly loved each other more than they disliked each other during oasis (especially shown in this documentary, and others). And they are just brothers in the end like, I have siblings and it's exactly the same, it's a love-hate relationship most of the time
The real people helped oasis and taught them some things for sure. The problem is The Real People didn't have enough good songs of their own and no real star quality.
The CD skipping gave me some nostalgia.
This documentary confirms that footage of Finsbury Park exists and WE ALL NEED TO SEE THIS.

11:17 and on makes me so happy. They both look so happy and close. So glad they are back!
Just seen that, and the timeline on the vid, says it is the most replayed section. And rightly so. It's nice to see that.
0:19 Nope, this man is 51 years old and he's still alive
I remember getting this as a DVD extra on something and thinking liam being 50 was light years away! Time flies
11:04 RUclips tells me is the most replayed. And I concur. It's mint to see them buzzing like that. That's proper, that is.
Closest ive ever seen them. they look proper happy with eachother. Class
Just a few months after Liam suggested Anais wasn't his kid and Noel allegedly punched him and quit the SOTSOG tour :)

That demo version of The Hindu Times with Noel singing was awesome!
Best clip
bruh all of the end with the brotherly banter is so wholesome 😭
The last 15 minute segment is some of the funniest and closest we’ve ever seen the bros.

I love Oasis, but you are not correct with this comment. 😂
idk wtf happened in 2001 and 2002 but they were so sweet to each other. nice to see❤ but also heartbreaking
IKR WTF
Forget new music, I want them to get back together for the sole reason of getting to have interviews with the 2 of them sat next to each other again.
Your dream came true
Poor Maggie... that woman should write a book.
She is.
Liam Gallagher needs to have his own reality show!
Lad saying they’re rip offs of the roses is definitely a red
Was at this gig, assuming it was Mansfield Massachusetts. 1st time seeing them. Dream come true
The vacuum story for born on a different cloud is one of the best oasis stories lol.
9:37 This is so funny once i figured out what he was referencing 😂😂 Giants put them back 2 years because Noel was keeping all the good songs till now😅
