I'm on vacation in rural SD and was pleasantly surprised to see a new notification reading "Wurmfeed". Nice unsettling, breakbeat-esque intro. WF definitely seems to have come into its own with this "slam/sludge" hybrid style. The title track makes the biggest splash, obviously. I've been listening to a lot of Dark Fury and Eyehategod lately and something about this fits well, in the middle of those two. Heh There's a "grimey aggression" to some of the last several WF installments, which isn't too far off the mark from stuff in previous years but stuff like THIS seems to be taking its own unique form.
