Whoa, this is a little different! I love the drum beats, with all the distorted/compressed percussion. That sounds REALLY cool, around 1:33! Reminds me of oldskool Xotox but with more nuanced beats. How do you go about mastering something like this? I've found that I have an affinity for songs that produce this quality/texture that "sounds like it's too loud, without being too loud". Off the top of my head, A more generic example of metal bands producing such a texture would be something like Inhottavuus' 2016 album. When I try to write something like this, it never comes out quite right and whatever YT does to my songs after I upload them really throws me off. 😑 Anyway, I liked this a lot. It's like a rhythmic concussion coming from the hands of a mysterious, angry force of nature. 🤘😉

This keeps coming up on my feed and now that I'm listening to it again, I'm getting a sort of creepy, atypical sense of nostalgia. heh

This is kinda' like "Rozz William's "The Happiest Tapes On Earth" meets Xotox" and the product of having several hardware doodads to play with. heh "Maybe another 5 years of this I’ll be where I want 10 years in stagnation To the same people To the same sounds In the same"... that's an alarmingly relatable piece of existential-ickiness. Way to put something together that captures the fusion of dread, anger AND apathy that life tends to corner you into. 💀👌

That part around 2:20 where the lowpass cutoff gets real low and then goes back up, with the drums banging faster was pretty fuckin' cool. I went to a "noise" show YEARS ago and I heard stuff with this kinda' vibe. A lot of it didn't have any kind of percussion though. This makes me feel like I'm being pushed around by people bigger than me. Not knowing if they're just being mean for the sake of it or if they're about to escalate their abuse beyond what's currently happening. hehe

5 years ago I randomly stumbled upon "Turning Point." It was a great find, love your stuff.

I thought this was going to be one of those bouncy stoner-metal pieces but then it started sounding like Eyehategod but then it started just getting grittier and "deathier". Basically, it just keeps getting worse... but BETTER. lol A bit of an "angry mess", if you will. 🤘😄

Every once in a while you write something that is unusually parallel with a re-occurring headspace that I've been in. I know lyrics are always, ALWAYS open to individual interpretation but there's some lines in here that are very relevant to something I've been thinking a lot about lately. This is one of the best thus far in terms of "polished" production quality. Everything's audible and has color and character, the elements are synced up and compliment each other. That bass sounds GREAT, btw. Not to sound like I'm trying to be overly-flattering but this DOES sound like the kind of thing the algorithm picks up and suddenly you have thousands of folks in their early to mid twenties feeling really nostalgic about something they can't properly explain. You've got a knack for writing "short and sweet" pieces with a bit of a hook to them and I feel like that would be something younger folks would really eat it. Idk if any of that would be important to ya' but yeah, that's the feeling I get. lol Anyhow, vera' noice! 😉

This reminds me of those songs from the 90s that seem to be taking a page from the 70s. I should be able to give you a band reference as an example but I just woke up, so I can't. lol It's pleasant, happy-sounding, yet retains a sort of "edge", lyrically. There's an emotional indie-flick out there that's dying to have this in their end-credits sequence. hehe I hope you're still doing well. I'm glad the creative-juice seems to be ever-present in your world, right now. \m/

You've certainly got a knack for this kind of thing. This gives off a sensation of "bittersweet acceptance" of sorts. I suppose to context could be a number of things though. I still get in "moods" where I'll go through your channel and listen to the songs like this. There's a "sincerity" to them that can really be felt and appreciated.

Someone commented on a different drum video that it was wicked in 1.25x and I didn't know that would transfer to the next video when I checked it out. What I'm trying to say is try this in 1.25x playback speed!
