I have quite a few metal pieces that I plan to make over with a rusty crusty patina! Thanks for the update with milk paint for metal items. Recently purchased 5 colors!
Hi there!! Oh wow!! Love your experimenting!! The first owl turned out so amazing!!! And the last one with the stencil over the flower is stunning🎉🎉🎉 Fun video😊 Jeanne Baton Rouge 29:33
Oh my these are pretty! I can NOT believe how the owls turned out! If you have a Michael’s they have realistic tulips! They get SUPER cheap in a few weeks!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THE OWLS!!! I love everything that you do, Yvonne, but the owls? My all time favorite! Thank you for keeping me inspired to try other things! ❤
Super makeovers. Your first owl looked so cool. You would thought it was made out of iron. Let’s not forget the second owl. They both were so good looking. Loved all your great ideas that you did. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
Yvonne, I haven't seen a new program from you for over two weeks. Hope all is well with you and your family. I wasn't sure if the bad weather hit your area of the state. You are my favorite . Your talent for making something new look old is amazing. Also Chris is wonderful with his talents at repairing anything.
Somehow somewhere there's something that would be so bad that you could not do anything with it, if there is I would love to see it. After saying all that my money would always be on you :))) Beautiful as always makeovers. Love the owls and the watering cans the layering one is so, so pretty and different. God Bless. Hugs, Rebekah. Hello to Chris:)
Wow! Everything looks so good. I wasn’t sure about the owls at first, but they look awesome with the different techniques. I love the bucket. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
Lula'sNest Yvonne OMG that large owl is just beautiful! You've come a long way with your creativity. I also enjoy Chris, his projects have taken out the mystery, for me, of how things are done, i.e., rewiring, repairing water damaged furniture, etc. I can't do those things, but now I understand how its done! Thanks guys.👍👍
My late older sister loved Owls! I can visualize her beaming smile lookin at these owls! We were all " DIYER'S before we even knew it was called crafting.... we made items for home decor, gifts, birthdays, & holidays out of necessity with whatever we had on hand. Those truly were the " good Ole days "! We used any and everything we could to come up with our ideas! I know that's where I get my love for vintage, antiques and vintage looking items! We had " Playhouses " ...not traditional ones built our of wood though. My father would pick up Refrigerator and Freezer boxes at the local hardware store ...cut windows& a door into them .. then we used crayons, paint whatever we could find to " decorate " our houses! We pasted magazine pictures our hand drawn pictures on the walls.❤❤❤I just turned 67 in March and those precious memories remain instilled in my heart just as clearly as the times we were creating them!. They are indeed at times bittersweet because some of us have passed.. ..yet they never fail to bring huge smiles. ❤I loooovvve the water can planter..and the staging is gorgeous as always! Thank you sooo much! The owls have your signature on them ! Your expertise for bringing out your visions are second to no one! I am soo thankful to you for sharing your gifts with us all! God Bless ❤
That first owl is actually a canister from the 70's. Mine is dated 1977. We used our's as a cookie jar and it has been in our family for 47 years. It is currently sitting on my counter as I am writing this. It was originally brown with brown and yellow eyes. I would never be able to paint mine because of the memories I have of it in its original form but the makeover you did on the one you had is stunning! I absolutely loved the patina finish!!
Both owls are beautiful but that first 🦉 owl, stunning. I understand the using the waxes on the paints because that’s how you won me over on some of the colors. They transform into beautiful rich colors. I would paint a wooden piece, say a cut out of Santa, but it didn’t want a stark white n red Santa so I’d do paint wash of burnt umber or some dark brown to age it. I loved glitter paint or a glitter top coat of paint too. I always did Christmas items too,😂. 😊❤
The owls turned out so amazing! I thought I wouldn’t like it, but I did! I use galvanized tin a lot in my decor. Some are painted and some are not. I never thought to put transfers on them! You ALWAYS have the best ideas!
Watching your channels for years gave me the confidence to refinish a big wooden ice chest we use on the patio. Over time it had really aged. Turned out better looking than when it was purchased new!
I love the color of your lipstick...may I ask the name of it? Thank you! Owl...turned out beautifully!! Fairy light owl is awesome! Thanks for sharing!!
Oh my word. I love the owls, watering can planter, and galvanized tulip planter. How can i pick a favorite? I do love that patina spray on anything. Love coppery greenish turquoise. You are amazing. I wish i lived closer to shop your booth!
Yvonne, everything you create is amazingly transformed. But the owls -- I just love both of them! You are an artist, and so generously share your techniques with us. Your channel always lifts my mood. Thank you. ❤
Yvonne... fellow michigander here 😊 I'm so excited that you are almost at 100k you so deserve it!! I look forward to every video! Are you almost there on the journey channel to getting Chris home? I'm pulling for him so hard to get to be home with you!! Sending love.. Traci

That first owl was the largest of 4 of a canister set. I made a set of these for my sister back in the mid 80's. I love what you did with it!
