Technically, this isn't a TERRIBLE video. But it is potentially a new series! We all know movie adaptations of videos. They're pretty rough. But how is the experience the other way around? How good are movies turned into video games? Well why not start with one of my all-time favourite movies, and the merchandising video game that released alongside it. Yes, today we are covering The Incredibles, and The TERRIBLE Incredibles Video Game...

...Welp. I sure am glad I dug up that old childhood memory.. and sunk in 6 hours of my life towards it. :| And potentially many more if we continue doing this with other games...
Fun fact: The movie's line "You sly dog! You got me monologuing!" was voted as the #15 of "The 100 Greatest Movie Lines" by Premiere in 2007.
If that's #15 then what the hell is #1
Wow.
there's no ogres are like onions in that list so it's biased
@TommyInnit 🅥 ive seen you before you were on a Connor Pugs video

This game makes Dark Souls look like a piece of cake.
Pretty much.
@TommyInnit 🅥 promoter.
People have beat the Dark Souls trilogy with no hits. Has anyone tried beating The Incredibles with no hits?
Case closed
EVERYTHING is cake.....
Oof
The level with Dash running through the city has no business being this hard, but I think I actually beat it. Never completed the game, though.
There was a cheat code that could unlock all levels I used frequently before I lost the game.
I hated that there was no other dash levels besides the school, Island n violet ball level
I beat it
That’s the part where I gave up .
Same. But it was one of the funnest parts of this game.
I think I even found the cheat codes to unlock all the levels.
The Ratatouille game I remember being super fun as a kid, both a new fun version of the story and honestly from my memory actual good and interesting level design
Ah that game was amazing. The dream sequences were pretty cool looking and just amazing
I remember playing Ratatouille game on Nintendo DS.
@@memeghost6850 yeah the dream sequences were so fun and interesting
Fun fact: Joaquin Phoenix was considered for the role of Buddy Pine/Syndrome.
Bonus fact: Incredibles was the biggest selling DVD of 2005 with over 17 million copies sold.
“How about another joke, Bob?”
“We live in a society full of supers.”

Is it bad that I actually really enjoyed this game? I was so young though that I would replay levels watching the calorie counter and seeing if any characters lost weight...
I enjoyed it too but it was really hard
This was my favorite game as a kid and is still held in my heart as a timeless classic. ngl I did find the school dash level a bit annoying. The other one was cool though!
no. people just have to shit on things.
I loved this game so much, but ngl I do have PTSD from the sound clicking the access panels made 😂😂 ‘dup dup dup..doodollloo’
Please understand, I don't mean to insult you. If you loved this game, great. I'm glad you liked it.
How do you like this game? When I was a little kid, I thought it was awful. I played it recently on PS2 emulator, and it was still awful.
The 2nd Omnidroid fight, with the lag and the fact that I need to drain the health bar THREE times, was what finally made me quit
I remember playing this game when I was younger always had a hard time with the controls.
Honestly I never say this on a video game, but this game does not look good at all. If ya need me I’ll play the much more fun Lego Incredibles game
@@matthewavery2934 that's because it's been out for 10+ years ya 9 year old
@@at0mic39_5 I ain’t nine, I’m just saying the graphics for the time aren’t bad, just the way they handle the characters playing is bad. Lego Incredibles did better job in doing that
@@matthewavery2934 eh, for me when I was little, I did NOT care about the quality. For me, it's acceptable for being a PlayStation 2-compatible game.
@@bluebunanimates6590 Good and fair point. For 2000s it's not bad, for people now they'd say "why did they make this game?" I'm not one of those people, I'll just say it's good, just be glad it isn't the very difficult Finding Nemo game they recently played
I remember playing this when i was like, 7 years old or somethin'. Never managed to get past the "Rocket Silo" level due to how hard it was.
Same, but I managed to do that one eventually, but damn... It had some near impossible jumps
The sequel of this game is a co-op beat 'em up, i had fun with it as a kid and it's a simple enough game
Holy crap that dash level was absolutely brutal I remember that vividly.
It's the damn train that always killed me. I'd miss the ramp or get there too fast.
Nah, I couldn't even make it to there. I couldn't even get past the fire level. I haven't to this day.
Agreed. Also, Dash is running at around 90 MPH. Why does it take so long to get to school?!
He pretty much makes it to the school at the same time as the bus.
Y’all trash asl 😂
I don't know about you but I LOVED that game XD and the Dash levels in paticular were my favorites, the only level I remember hating was the one and only Violet level (and that's probably because I don't like stealth, and as far as stealth goes that was REALLY BAD).
Same dude, I love the beat them up part with mr and mrs indestructible
Agreed. I kept thinking of ways it could have been better, but it was still pretty great.
I never got past the Violet level, myself. Although it took me a long time to get past level... 6, I think? The first one on the island, mostly because 10-year-old me was terrified of the omnidroid and was scared to go further than the beginning of the level.
Level 2 was my favourite, I remember
I'm really glad you like the game and had fun with it.
I'm don't mean to insult you, but I can't understand HOW you like it. I played it as a little kid and thought it was awful. I played it again recently on PS2 emulator, and I still thought it was awful. But to be fair, there was a LOT of lag on the PS2 emulator for the game.
The 2nd Omnidroid fight is what finally made me quit
I played this game when I was younger and this entire game is “hey older bro come help me with this level!” Every. Single. Level.
Also the Violet level is the bane of my existence.
There is also another incredibles game. It’s called “Lego: The Incredibles”. It has the Incredibles 1 and 2.
well, how is it?
@@ashknight6696 Idk havent played enough of it to judge.
@@JaceAVinson I’ve played it and it’s pretty decent. Definitely preferred other Lego games though like Lego Star Wars or Lego Batman for example
@@ashknight6696
In my opinion its in the middle of being the best and worst.
You have to play 2 before the first movie levels. And they really deviate from the source material
The game is pretty good it's easy but fun
And has alot of pixar references I definitely recommend it if you like lego games and pixar in general
Oh man, so it wasn't just me, this game WAS stupid difficult 😂😂 I had like, one game as a kid that wasn't a movie game and it's interesting looking back at how much the quality could differ between them - I remember Shrek 2 being my favourite (and one of the only two games I ever completed, the other being Happy Feet) and absolutely hating this one because it was just so difficult. If I recall correctly, it was also the only movie game to not have a 3+ age rating, being 7+ instead? If you want some other really terrible old movie games for PS2, I'd say check out Finding Nemo and Cat In The Hat, I remember having particular difficulty with those. Finding Nemo in particular is funny because the PC game for that was totally different and absolute pips to get through, being more point-and-click.
It's not just you. It's difficult, and not for the right reasons. I think The Incredibles game is VERY poorly designed:
-The gaps are often too large during platforming and you'll often not make it, through no fault of your own
-The punches miss way too easily. Most 3D beat 'em ups have some degree of auto targeting for punches and melee attacks to avoid this issue
-You get stun-locked by everything
-They either give you not enough health or too much
-The grab move, which is actually required to get progress in some levels, also misses very easily. You need to be in dry humping distance, or it'll miss. Sometimes it misses even if you are close enough.
-Also during the grab, Mr. Incredible is vulnerable to attacks for a good 1 to 2 seconds, and if you get hit during this brief time (which happened quite often to me), Mr. Incredible drops whatever he's grabbing onto
-The auto targeting, to throw an object after grabbing it, is awful
A lot of movie/TV show based games are usually really bad.
Just me or why does this game feel so nostalgic when i didn't even get to play it
Memories of the movie and/or similar games, i figure.
2000s movie games. You get the exact same vibe from all of them
You probably like the movie, and it reminds you of the 2000s.
It's a really good movie. When I bought the DVD as a little kid, I remember that I watched it literally once a day, everyday, for a week
I remember playing The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer, and it was AWESOME as I remember, cant even compare that amazing game to this
I think both were made by the same devs.
It would be cool if they make a Prequel to The Incredibles 1 set entirely during the golden age of Superheroes, showing all those heroes that Syndrome killed when they were alive, the ones that died to cape accidents, and many more! As well as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl!
When I was 11 I used to love that flash level running to school. It was my first time playing something that challenged me and made me feel great for completing.
You should play rise the underminer and the Lego Incredibles they are both good games
I remember playing the Gameboy version. I got stuck on a Mrs. Incredible level because I had a hard time getting her punches to work the way I wanted them to. I also remember not having paper for the codes to skip to different levels at one point, so I wrote them on the wall.
One of the only "The Game: The Movie" games I loved was the one for the first Transformers Movie for the PS2.
The mud is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. Glad songs of salvation are in the tents of the righteous: The right hand of the mud does valiantly, the right hand of the mud exalts, the right hand of the mud does valiantly!
I remember reaching a certain level where i couldn't even progress through the game, thus i had to use a cheat code to get the rest of the levels, it was a fun game though
They at least did well with the LEGO Incredibles game. That was a pretty good adaptation.
All I remember from this game was loving the Dash sequences and doing pretty good on them, and hating the Violet level bc of the one-hit death to the point I stopped playing it for like a week
The color palette’s were my favorite part of the game lol!!! I remember being obsessed with it just because of that, AND because I hadn’t seen the movie yet lol
I used to have the GBA "version" -if you can call it that- of this game, it was a beat em up, a la Streets of Rage, basically a completely different game, I remember the Dash levels being my favourite part of the game.
Edit: 12:33 yeah that one!
Beating this game was the peak of my accomplishments as a child.
I remember liking the first few levels, especially the Elastigirl one!
I never QUITE made it to the first Omnidroid though.
I love your screensaver of Violet Parr spitting milk out of her nose. Lmao!!!
You should make another video on the incredibles: rise of the underminer! The second movie actually retcons the story of that game
Theres a sequel to this game where you play as Mr. Incredible AND Frozone and you can pick. Its awesome!
When I was like 7 or 8 I had this game on my PS2... There's There's a Meet The Robinsons video game and a Rattatouie (idfk how to spell it because lazy) video game. I had both of them.

I gotta say this:
They could've slipped a Violet level after the Dash one. You'd have to stealthily sneak around the schoolyard, making sure no harm comes to Tony Rydinger, physical (via bullies) or emotional. Of course, if he sees you un-invisify, instant lose.
Or stay invicible from Tony while getting out of school.
@CrossoverBingo 64 That’s What I meant.

“WHY WONT YOU LET ME HELP YOU”
“Niiice”

I like that aspect too
And it really makes sense as well since we don't get an actual explanation how the fire started in the movie
Oh my god this is one of those games you always remember but never think about looking up again, I wasn’t good at games as a child so I didn’t get past the first few parts but it still held a special part in my heart so I’m really happy to see you play it
that first dash sequence, ITS PAPER BOIIIIIIIIIIIII FOR THE NES WITHOUT THE PAPER
I’m already getting flashbacks to that burning building level, it was so hard that may have nearly murdered my controller
Don’t remember this game. But I remember playing the underminer one. But I don’t think I got too far as I was a stupid kid and eventually the disc stopped working. I really only remember bits and piece and a lot of it taking place underground. Also was it Mr. Incredible and Frozone you got to play in that one? I’ll have to look into it because those are the two characters I actually remember.
I remember playing this game when I was 6. I couldn’t get past the first Dash level. Looking back, I don’t think I ever would.
I remember growing up on this game for the GameCube and I found it fun, but incredibly frustrating. I revisited it on the OG Xbox several months ago, and it was less frustrating surprisingly, though it could be that I was more experienced with gaming in general. I hope it’s made backwards compatible for the Xbox One/Series consoles. Along with the video game follow-up Rise of the Underminer.
It was torture just hearing how frustrating the levels were.
I hold the first Incredibles in high esteem but not the highest.
fun fact:
I played this on ps2, and my game was cracked; when I got to the very first rail shooting level (where you ride the turret and fire right after the first major robot boss) my game malfunctioned. Flight controls did not work, gun controls did not work, and I randomly and exponentially lost all my health within 3-4 seconds of starting the level. Literally had to stop playing the game because progression was COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE.
Had a lot of fun up to that point. It got so bad I even tried an action replay, and EVEN WITH CHEATS my games controls refused to work and my health dropped exponentially.
You could say that the Incredibles is incredible
HA!
Bruh he literally actually cant see something without pointig out pointless (or necessary) things to hate.
When I was younger the kmart near where I lived had an Xbox out as a playable demo and the game it had loaded was the Incredibles. My memories of this game were always on the same level because nobody beat it lol
Weird. I only remember the first few levels with the French villain, the level with the burning building, the Dash levels and the Omnidroid boss fights.
I do not remember the rest
I used to love this game lol, not trying to defend it's quality, but I liked it. I remember there being another Incredibles game but I'm pretty sure I only ever rented it and I still wonder if I should find it again.
I had the gameboy game! The way you described that level gave me flashbacks
You can cheese the Omnidroid 08 fight by slamming it's arm, then immediately slamming the next arm in a clockwise/counterclockwise fashion. This causes the arm damage animation to loop. It feels good to cheap out such an annoying boss. Edit: Actually the gameboy one isn't too bad.
Making an Incredibles game without syndrome is an unforgivable crime.
Good point, did he say Ben have a cutscene towards the end?
Movie games that I enjoyed as a kid were Bolt, Ratatouille, Wall-E, and Over the Hedge
I forgot that this game actually existed, despite loving it as a kid. I remember spoiling the heck out of myself by doing cheat codes to unlock all the missions to skip until the last boss. My PS2 doesn't work any more so I have vague memories of the game.
I do remember that some of these levels were unnecessarily long (especially the rocket one) and the bosses are pretty much carbon copies of themselves. Not to mention that pretty much ALL of the bosses requires you to throw bombs at them, making the gameplay repetitive and bland, like I guess those super moves were just for show? For Violet, I kinda wish they made more stages out of her since I love stealth missions like that, though the instant deaths were annoying.
Elastigirl, Dash and the Pinball stages were my absolute favorite though, they pretty much compensate after numerous Bob stages. One more thing, I'm actually surprised you didn't mention the Arena. That one was pretty frickin great that you have to beat up wave of bad guys.
I also realized that this game was from the guys who made Spongebob the Movie Game and Battle for Bikini Bottom, both amazing games, so I'm confused of Heavy Iron Studios on how they completely mess this up.
You can’t make an Incredibles video game without a Syndrome boss fight. I mean he’s the main villain.
The incredibles is definitely the perfect super hero movie up there with megamind
Bruh I fucking loved this game, playing this on the original Xbox and as the best
Dazz I have been watching since the Pikmin 3 speculation days, and I gotta say you have finally crossed the line. This game is a fantastic licensed game and I will die on this hill. I replay it often.
Holy shit I remember playing this on my old ps2 and never getting past the island part. Damn, thank you Dazz
I never played The Incredibles Videogame but I did play Rise of the Underminer and personally really enjoyed it, I don't know whether or not that's nostalgia though.
I played Rise of the Underminer as well. I remember being surprised at the diversity of of the henchmen robots, and the co-op mode made the game much better than the first. The atmosphere was also awesome.
When I was a kid I never owned this because I was born in 2002 I discovered this game at my dentist XD as a kid I never get pass the first because either they're a timer or is was Demo I always wondered about that game
3:45 This gives me flashbacks to that game critic who couldn't play Cuphead 'cuz he couldn't time simple jumping in the tutorial. "Difficulty spike", yeah... that be a theme for the video.
... But anyway I actually enjoyed the clip good job!
The burning building made me quit this game.
This is PURE nostalgia OMG
I loved this game as a kid!
I remember hating the Violet level XD
Oh my god I loved this game as a kid even though I was thoroughly confused by it. I replayed it recently with my brother and it’s a terrible game, but I still love it. We found cheat codes for the game and it made the game instantly more enjoyable with being able to grow and shrink mr. incredible’s head
I remember playing The Rise of the Underminer as a kid with my sister. It was a lot of fun from what I remember and would love to see ya play it!
This was my very first GameCube game and I still have it 😁 I never got past the jungle level lol
Damn... i thought I was just incompetent as a kid, and that's why the dash level waz so frustrating
I absolutely loved this game as a kid, it holds up fairly alright I would say.
I always remembered seeing the trailer of the game in the extras menu in “Cars: The Video Game”
Wh...I loved that game...
(I could never get past the fire part, but still)
I remember my old dentist had some consoles in a side room (they called it the arcade), and this was one they had hooked up to a gamecube. It was always on the First level, like no one wanted to play it past that point.
I remember having a blast playing this as a kid. There was one level I could never beat though, had to use cheat codes to skip it and finish the game.
I barely remember that game. I remember figuring out and finding cheat codes. I remember disliking some of the levels where you were Violet and Dash. I also remember liking the last boss and beating the game. The rest is a blank though.
Hey I remember this game! They used to have it available to play at Dental Land I went to as a kid. They had it on these tiny tv screens with joysticks and buttons for controls.
I heard, “I got to be dash running on the streets” and immediately shouted, “THE BUS LEVEL!!!”
With the Omnidroid battles (at least V8 and V9), you can stunlock it by using running incredipunches, although I can't remember if the uncharged/meterless versions stun.
Although you just disrespected my childhood by hating on that dash misson... I respect your opinion.
This was the first game I completed as a kid. I loved this game.
I think I played this on PC, because I have vague memories of this exact game but not where I played it exactly. I didn't have any of these consoles so it had to be on PC but what PC I played it on I don't know!
I loved this game as a kid. But never could get pass the first Omni droid fight.
I thought it was just me but it’s kinda reassuring to know that it was actually that hard. I think six year old me would have had a heart attack to know that you fight a mini boss directly after, leading to another Omni droid fight… so…
I think I was more scared by the fact that you fight a miniboss right AFTER defeating one. That was pure terror. The Omnidroid fight was honestly a relief because it was easier to fight for me.
I had a handbook that had intructions and strategies for beating each level. Beating this game was one of my best memories
remembering this game, wasn't even able to play it on my parents old dell, sounds like this is the original dark souls
As hard as this game was, I really loved this game as a kid
This review just took the words right out of my mouth. Exactly my thoughts since childhood. That game was too complicated for the kid. Hated Omnidroid and road-to-school level so much.
Btw, I had some problems with the 2nd Dash level. When it came to water, everything disappeared and I had no signs where to go... That's where i stuck.
I played this game back in the day. This and that chicken little game had a weird feeling of “I’m not having that much fun, but I’m playing out of spite” I don’t even know if spite is the word. I didn’t hate it, but I wanted to finish it because I was getting stuck so much on dash and violet levels.
Anyway, I remember it was Christmas 2004 and I was going to the movie theater with my grandma after making Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer at Build A Bear.
I remember playing it on Xbox and having so much trouble with it(I was like 7 years old and I normally enjoyed playing anything). I couldn’t beat the final robot boss fight on the island, and I pretty much gave up. Really wish they didn’t botch this one.
I remember renting this game when I was a kid and I could never get past the very first level . . .
Nice to see sega has really gotten the Sonic gameplay right
I remember in the second dash level, when you run on the water, you can't die from friction burn. Fun attention to detail in an otherwise bad game
the GBA game i remember enjoying to some extent. might not have been the best game out there, but it worked well enough. I specifically remember the "level" where mr incredible is trying to escape from the security system he trips after he investigates the computer, and it is straight out of the movie. No surprise by the quotes around "level" or from knowing the plot of the movie, the level cant be won. Instead, the player has to see how far they can get before getting overwhelmed by the sticky black ball turrets, and reaching the end gives an extra life. Yes, it isnt much, but considering the effort needed to actually try and break from the movie's plot, it is a welcome reward that acknowledges the player's attempt.
4:35 darn, we're not going to make it! Lets speed up
Maybe do a video on the 2001 rockstar game based off the 1969 Italian Job
I remember playing this game a lot when I was a kid and remember beating it multiple times but that flying on rail section was the hardest part for me cause I always took constant damage to the point where I only focused on shooting the turrets.
That part I remember being really hardcore. For some reason when I beat it, going through it wasn't so hard.
I feel like playing dash as he dashes through the city should just replace the British hazard perception part of the theory test.
When I was a kid they gave me the pc version of this game. I saw the thumbnail and said “alright!”… not the game I expected
Oh, I’m talking about a different incredibles video game btw
