I heard Susan Tedeschi on the radio singing "Hurt So Bad". I was completely blown away. I pulled over to write her name down. Bought cd next day. Incredible talent ❤
A great example of how the journeymen and journeywomen of music don’t have to hide behind “pop music” theatrics and special effects, and can just jam out some of the most intricate, entertaining, and captivating music ever.
Great group, Susan is a heck of a guitar player along with her hubby Derek Trucks who played with Allman bros. Saw them at Crossroads concert with Eric Clapton. One of best concerts ever and these guys rocked!
Some of the chord progressions reminded me of the Allman Brothers. Some of the greats of "southern rock" including Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers and Tedeschi Trucks were all from Jacksonville, FL. Duane Trucks on drums for Widespread Panic and his older brother Derek on slide guitar is half of Tedeschi Trucks. Some great musical genes in that family!!!
Thanks guys, another great reaction! BTW, that's Derek's little brother Duane on drums behind him and the other guitarist, Jimmy Herring, is Duane's father-in-law. Another connection on the stage is that Derek and Jimmy have both been in the Allman Brothers Band and at the same time. Jimmy toured one summer with them when Dickey Betts wasn't available. Great cover of the Stone's classic!
They are playing with Widespread Panic, an incredible jam band with a great catalog that you should dive into Start with Coconuts, dinner, Pickin' up the pieces, Moontime, Pleas
Now that you've been exposed to a little Widespread Panic, you should really check out more of their work. "Space Wrangler" Live at Austin City Limits is a great place to start.
The singer was John Bell....a frequent guest with Tedeschi Trucks Band......check them out doing 'Down by the Cove' and also with Taj Mahal doing 'Leaving Trunk'...........their home practice sessions are worth a look at !!!
Another awesome band from Jacksonville Florida! That’s her husband on the leotard Derek trucks been watching the ball play that guitar since he was 11. Great band!
Some good ole down south cookin with Widespread Panic and the TTB! Susan’s vocals and Derick’s slide are outstanding as usual. I think this is the first Stones cover I’ve heard from TTB. They do a couple of great Zeppelin covers that everyone should check out.
Used to party with them in 86-87 at the South End in Memphis. Pretty much just a Dead cover band. Had tons of fun! Saw them in 2000s in 10k arena and wanted to gouge my ears out with a spoon. They basically played one song for 2 hours. Too messed up. Whole crowd on X.
@@JoeandAngie I first saw them at a place called Buggys Tavern in Delaware probably around 1993. I still go see them once in a while. Top notch musicians, and I don't mind a 20 minute jam. Even sober!
Every time that I get a notification from airplay beats I know it's going be an excellent dlay, week, and weekend!! Widespread Panic is the name or the other band. TTB, in my opinion, is the best band out there!! They always have the bands that they touring with come out and do a set with them. Thanks, fellas, for the excellent reaction!!
I wanted them to come in together in the same key Shows like this, and artist of this genre, are always an fantastic time.... top musicians and atmosphere! Wide Spread Panic, Gov't Mule.. I meant, someone needs to replace The Allman Brothers and Tom Petty et al

Whoever Tedeschi Trucks Band is playing with they will always give a great show
That was a Widespread Panic show. They were guests
Love it! A little Widespread Panic mix in!
Best touring band in the land today which is why they're so good. Covers are typically better than the originals. Great review, thanks gentlemen!

2 bands for the price of one! That's also Widespread Panic, one of the best jam bands touring around.
Great group, Susan is a heck of a guitar player along with her hubby Derek Trucks who played with Allman bros. Saw them at Crossroads concert with Eric Clapton. One of best concerts ever and these guys rocked!
Susan exemplifies “Never judge a book by its cover.” One of my favorite voices. 💜💜💜
That was John Bell and Jimmy Herring of Widespread Panic with there band members doing the Stones!
They are always jamming/doing collaborations with other bands or musicians. Great stuff.
making Friday great TTB does it every time.

And to top it all off...Derek's uncle is Butch Trucks, one of the original drummers in the Allman Brothers along side Jaimoe
The best performing band touring today. Best band to ever perform this song. Ever…
But this is widespread panic with Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks playing along.
Panic’s drummer is Derek’s brother, Duane.
Oh man, it sounded good!
jam session of the highest order in todays music TTB awesome!

That sounded really great. I love that old.Stones song thank you both
Widespread Panic! WSMFP. Dereks brother Duane on the drums
Another awesome band from Jacksonville Florida! That’s her husband on the leotard Derek trucks been watching the ball play that guitar since he was 11. Great band!
Seeing bands take on the Stones is always fun. It’s funny how much of an influence a bunch of boys from England had on Southern and Country music

Check out TTB "I Want More" live, from Austin City Limits if possible, but live none the less.
Widespread Panic is tremendous!
Used to party with them in 86-87 at the South End in Memphis. Pretty much just a

Derek isn’t the best guitar player on stage!
Yep was at this one, was an incredible night!! You should absolutely dive into Widespread Panic!!
Every time that I get a notification from airplay beats I know it's going be an excellent dlay, week, and weekend!! Widespread Panic is the name or the other band. Thanks for letting us know ML!! Have a blessed weekend my friend!!
@AirplayBeats my pleasure!!
I wanted them to come in together in the same key

This is great, but it's not Tedeschi Trucks Band. This is Widespread Panic with Derek and Susan as guests.
Also 2 of their backup singers.
We were just going off the title of the video we reacted to
Check out midnite in harlem for their best sounding live tune and best slide guitar solo.
Were they mixing in some ABB “Blue Sky” cause I was hearing that also.
Jimmy herring
Love em, but Susan wants to be Bonnie Raitt so bad...
Everybody's emulating somebody. Not a bad thing if you choose wisely.
This isn’t TTB though, it’s a combined jam of them and Widespread Panic… your TTb choices never seem to hit the mark.. Let Me Get By or Shame
