I tend to cycle in and out of music genres, during 2016-2018 I was deep into Trap and Drill, Deathcore since 2020, then went back to the early 2000's metal like linkin park and slipknot in 2022, this beef has thrown me deep into rap again.
I don't have the attention to actively swap between genres, so I like to just fully immerse myself for one until I get bored or something else captures my attention

I have been far removed from contemporary hip hop and rap for years. I’m a GenXer and I still carry Dr. Dre, Snoop, NWA, Beastie Boys, and Eve in my heart. Hotline Bling was an ear worm, but I wasn’t a fan or listened to Drake. I might have heard of Kendrick, but I don’t remember hearing any particular song of his. Since the Kendrick/Drake beef was becoming actual news I took the time to give the songs a listen. Wow 🤯🤯🤯 Kendrick has me excited about rap again! The music and beats are addictive. I’m with dude when he said it was making him want to move. Love Kendrick’s cadence and how he is able to effectively emote. I hear the sarcasm and anger in his voice. I like when people sing or rap with emotion. When Kendrick started doing a Canadian accent in Euphoria I about died. “He don’t know nothin’ bout that” had to cut Drake. It almost made me feel bad for him. Drake’s comebacks were weak. He said Kendrick’s woman is taller than Kendrick. It’s like, Drake, you just admitted that Kendrick is secure as fuuuuuuuck about himself and made yourself sound insecure. You complimented him and put yourself down on your own diss song about him 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Three more things: (1) Kendrick's whole song "Not Like Us" is in the key of B Minor, but he "ups the chord on Drake" and sings these two words in the A Minor chord. Obviously, Kendrick is repeating that he heard Drake likes them young and we know a minor is a young person under the age of 18.
    (2) Tons of Drake's songs are rapped/sung in A Minor

I grew up in Detroit so all I listened to was hip hop and RnB.... didnt touch anything outside of that... I joined the Navy and was traveling from Orlando to Chicago with a white guy... all his listened to was country and Rock.. so while he drove that is what he listened to ... I found myself liking most of the songs he played... so music is universal... if it's good it's good.... now I listen to EVERYTHING lol

The great American Pulitzer Prize winner Poet/Rapper and murderer of Fake Rappers.Every Genre of music should bump this. Bcuz he put FAKE talent on notice.. Ppl work hard to craft their talent, then have to navigate the dirty world of music contracts. Practice and take the boos as well as the cheers. Practicing n practicing. Dealing with real life ups n downs.. And yet maintain their raw talent . KENDRICK IS TELLING THOSE MANUFACTURED ASSEMBLY LINE THIEVING ARTISTS.. YALL ARE NOT LIKE US.. TELLING THE PPL. THEY NOT LIKE US . We do it for the ppl . They do it for the fame n money.

"Not Like Us" is the 2024 Song of the Summer! Cookouts everywhere will have Crip-walks and Electric Slides! It's such a huge hit that rumor has it that it's even #1 in Canada, Drake's own country! You should also react to "Euphoria" and "Meet the Grahams," the latter of which will have you shook, to say the least!
