- With tax return season here, I thought it was time to do a topical video. Now I'm not a breeder, as a forewarning, nor do I have much money to spend. But I thought it would be fun to look at the "going rates" for some of the most expensive, rarest reptiles out there in the hobby. Searching the various reptile classifieds pages and some breeders' websites the results... were startling. Today we count down five of the priciest reptiles you or I could buy! If things like 401k, dental insurance, and ya know other sort of more important things money is needed for didn't exist. Thanks for watching!

I would love a Boelen's Python and I personally know a guy in Connecticut that's got a pair he's working on breeding but I couldn't spend that kind of money. The most expensive animal I currently have is a Rough Scaled Python, Morelia Carinata, which are also extremely rare and a relatively new discovery but their price tag is much much lower.
Yes I could swing 1k maybe for a certain reptile I HAD to have, but never 9K haha
