Amazing video! I am going to refer to this video on my upcoming socializing snakes vid because this is such a great, educational, and well-thought out video on a very misunderstood species! Thank you for bringing knowledge and heart to the reptile community!

THANK YOU! Not many experts can provide a "matter of fact" style delivery touching upon every possible exhaustive aspect of a subject. You do that quite well. Thanks for the information on feeding. My 2yo GTP who is new to me went almost 4 months without eating. Finally, she shed, then she ate. Now I know it's not me or my husbandry (temps/humidity good), it's her and her way.

Snakes are so easy to take care of. You only have to feed them every few weeks and help them with their shedding. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Awesome care guide. Jade is extremely easy to handle! I wish my yearling gets like that but I have no issues just enjoying his beauty. Removable perches are a good thing!

I really wanted an arboreal green snake. I live in Indonesia so there are two option with some problem on both of them. The first one is this green tree python, but it's appendix II, meaning that it's still OK to get them as pet as long as it's not from the wild and you can prove it (the proving part is the problem). The second option is pit vipers, the problem is that they are (obviously) highly venomous and if they bite, being an arboreal snakes they latches on.
Still planned to get a Green Tree Python though.

The feeding part is interesting for I have found there are other creatures who are finicky eaters too, like the Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula. Cupid is a 25 yr old (I’m still beside myself very time I mention her age, I am so grateful she has gotten this far❤️) and she has moments where she will go a fews weeks without eating, she had gone a month without eating one winter and it scared me…she getting ready to molt.
I never where Green Pythons came from nor how to care for them. Grateful for the the internet , RUclips & your videos.
    Thank you for making them.
Note: I’m adopting a baby Corn snake this month for my B-day present. Got every ready!

Jade is lovely, surprised I haven't seen you before! I have 2 girls since neos and a male that I got off a friend that was totally unhandleable. Now I can handle all of them fine just not him at night but the girls are as tame as yours. Revel, Genesis & Alpha!

They eat larger rats in mice then jumbo mice in rat pups what ? That's underfeeding a adult that's 5-7 ft 3500-4500 grams and that's more then 2 pounds

Most municipalities use chloramine now not chlorine, chloramine is much more stable and will not evaporate out of the water like regular chlorinated water will. Dechlorinators or filtration are the only safe options

@@breakingboardrooms1778yes but there are also a bunch of subspecies from different localities each with a different color or pattern. Like the yellow ones are called “Biak” then there’s another with the blue marks and there are blood red ones but they all eventually greenen with age and the markings fade.
