And 200 on his vet bills because he came to me covered in stuck shed and had to have two toes amputated and multiple rechecks because it got infected. Love the nut. It my gosh 😂
HEY!! The bearded dragon in this video?? He is mine!! His name with GoHerping was Amaretto but I renamed him Burnley. He's been with me since March 2020 (had to wait to ship him due to weather) and he is actually the best. I was in Colorado for school when I bought him, but since graduating this spring, he moved back with me to the farm in Illinois. He is the SWEETEST boy ever. His favorite hobbies include going on walks with me around the farm and to the creek, going feral and trying to eat the grass, and sitting in my mom's office window when she demands time with her grandlizard. He came with me to classes all the time in my senior year and actually has three credited roles in our various class films. I'm pretty sure he also makes up like half of my photography portfolio. I wish I could share pictures here in the comments but he is living his best life. I know you described him as having a nice/chill temperament but honestly, that doesn't do justice to just how sweet, laid back, and gentle this giant boy is. He is a great ambassador beardie and I love allowing kids to interact with him and learn about reptiles. Hey All! I'm the proud owner of number 3, and his name is Jumanji! I had adopted him back in May of last year, after my female Indonesian BTS passed away in my arms months prior. Just as Alex mentioned, he was a fussy little ramen noodle when he first arrived and wouldn't come out of the bag. I didn't expect him to be so tiny either, I assumed he would be at least sub-adult size. As for his personality, he did a complete turn around after several hours of handling each day up to this point. Now he's the most docile and laid back lizard you would ever meet. I even have him tag along with me to my car show events, where he receives plenty of head pats and chin scratches. I even taught him to be patient with children and he has never bit anyone, nor does he ever hiss - instead he likes to borrow into his substrate and have sneezing fits to keep me awake at night. Jumanji is by far the best pet that I ever owned and it's very rewarding to watch him grow into a chunky teddy bear! P.S. I'd love to share pictures of him, but this is my millionth time retyping this comment and whenever I provide a link, it gets removed within seconds... Unless someone knows a way that I can?
That's so sweet to hear his story! I don't know a way you could share his pictures. Perhaps make a RUclips video showing him off? I'm happy to hear he's doing well!

The most I've spent is $400 on a pancake tortoise! Cutest little mean mug I have ever seen. May pass him along to another owner/zoo for breeding though because they're very endangered
@@apss5736 It's supply and demand. A lot of people want them and they are hard to breed. If you get a pair, there's a significant likelihood that they won't get along, or the female may kill the male. They don't produce as many eggs in a year as other geckos, and a particular pair might not produce any even if they get along. Even compatible pairs fight and even injure each other. They mature more slowly than other species, particularly the desirable, large locales. A Yate might take 3-4 years to get to breeding size. This slows down breeding even more and makes selective breeding even more difficult. They'd be overpriced if breeders made huge margins on them, but that's not the case. You might not particularly like them, but the high demand means a lot of other people don't agree.
I know this is irrelevant to the video but, I was cleaning my room a couple days ago and checked on my leopard geckos water bowl. I filled her bowl with water and tapped the glass because she comes whenever I do that. Any who, I noticed she wasn’t coming to me. I thought okay maybe she’s asleep so I’ll come back later. I did this again an hour later, I tapped on the glass and still nothing. I lifted her hides a little bit and looked under her reptile mat and nothing. My heart dropped. I frantically looked around my dresser (where the tank is sitting on) because I thought she could have fallen and died because my dresser is pretty high up. But she wasn’t there either. I looked everywhere and nothing. Yesterday my neighbor gave me a humane mouse trap where they walk in and the door closes behind them. I was so excited. But today I looked and nothing. I put her water bowl in the trap and nothing. I’m hoping and praying my dogs didn’t get to her. I just need advice on what else I need to do. I miss my baby 🥺 And I know your not a vet or anything like that. I just figured you would have good advice to give since your so good with your reptile babies.
blueys are monogamous and will co habit with babies for a while couples meet up yearly - shigleback/stumpies the same I had wild in my yards a few times
Okay so I was wondering what you guys think........ I am getting another snake soon in the form of a boa and I want to light up the tank but don't want to get a heat / uvb bulb as I know they tend to climb on them and hurt themselves so I want to use a heat mat / pad instead. So my question is would normal LED lights on a cord / strip (like the ones you'd have in your room) be okay to put around the top of the enclosure from corner to corner for better lighting / view?

How are nothern blue tongues difficult to breed???! Is that an American thing? My mates breed so well we often have to release most of the babies in the national park when they are born because there is no way we would find enough good owners for a captive life. The most I've spent is $400 on a pancake tortoise! Cutest little mean mug I have ever seen. May pass him along to another owner/zoo for breeding though because they're very endangered
You should make another one these about snakes!
The most I've spent is $250 for a blue eyed Lucy ball python. She is one of my favs because of her personality.
I found my beardie on the sidewalk, but everything else about her has been expensive so far (enclosure, vet, decor, lights...) :')
You sure it wasn’t wild? Lol
@@ksoundkaiju9256 I don't live in Australia, so no ..lol
Okay okay but like.. a sub adult leachie for 900??? Who appears to have high color? 🤔🤔🤔
If you mean it was too cheap, it's possible - I wasn't totally sure how to price it
10:16 so my parents want to start breeding lizards (crested, gargoyles, and leechies) and my mom paid 1.1k for a female leechie dont ask me why
That's not even expensive for a leachie.
that’s usually a fair price for a leachie
they are way overpriced
@@fwiffo yeah i see what you mean. i just wish they cost around 500 dollars or less. i wonder why chahouas and gargoyles are much cheaper
Can we have updates on your farm/yard please?
I know this is irrelevant to the video but,
I was cleaning my room a couple days ago and checked on my leopard geckos water bowl.
I miss my baby 🥺
And I know your not a vet or anything like that. I just figured you would have good advice to give since your so good with your reptile babies.
Thought you were holding a fish at first in the thumbnail, then I read the title
My captive bred Northern Carmel was only like 300
Your photos are SO cute hahaha
Yaaaaay! Another video by the funniest RUclipsr everrrr
reptile smoothies yum yum
You are the best reptile channel :D
This was a cool video!
Northern Blue tongues are never wild caught especially in America.
My most expensive ones were my bluey and my tegu I got both for 300 each
blueys are monogamous and will co habit with babies for a while
couples meet up yearly - shigleback/stumpies the same
I had wild in my yards a few times
Okay so I was wondering what you guys think........ I am getting another snake soon in the form of a boa and I want to light up the tank but don't want to get a heat / uvb bulb as I know they tend to climb on them and hurt themselves so I want to use a heat mat / pad instead. So my question is would normal LED lights on a cord / strip (like the ones you'd have in your room) be okay to put around the top of the enclosure from corner to corner for better lighting / view?
As long as you do a natural light cycle ( turn it off when at night) it will be fine .
@@sheasreptiles6306 okay thanks. Yea the snake I have right now seems to not mind much so think I'll give it a shot
@@xdbapo no problem

YES A GO HERPING VIDEO!!!
Most money I have spent on buying an animal was $9.90 for my latest baby African Clawed Frog lol
That’s really cheap, I had to spend $680 on my crested gecko vivarium
How are nothern blue tongues difficult to breed???! Is that an American thing? My mates breed so well we often have to release most of the babies in the national park when they are born because there is no way we would find enough good owners for a captive life. They have up to 16 live young and its such a handful! The parents are both car accident rescues with big lumps and bumps, you can literally pick the poor things off the road theres so many! Captive ones go for like $30 us .. sometimes free!
I think our breeders dont keep them as a constant pair but try to make them switch partners
I got 7 pet turtles and I want to ask how do I sell them?or can I sell them to you
Try Craigslist go herping doesn't buy any reptiles but he will take Take them in . You have to pay though.
Will you look at his farmer's tan!
🤠
All the blue tongues in Australia are like 40 - 300 bucks
You find them in your backyard
@@ggsttdn91 yea but you wouldn't take them from the wild
@@Y0oisaac Yea, but the people would take a couple and captive breed them
@@ggsttdn91 if they wanna face a 5000 dollar fine
