    Omgosh that baby cow is adorable! Love the markings, very beautiful! I'm so worried for Zorra and all the other wildlife that will have their home destroyed. So very sad.

    There must be some way they can protect the squirrels and have a highway?

    I hope this means you will get Shermans Fox Squirrel babies viaiting you soon! It woukd be such a cool thing to have a relationship with multiple generations of the same squirrel family.
    However, that road does worry me. I really hope you manage to convince Zorra to pick a safe space to stay and this new male follows suit 🤞🏽

    I'm so upset about this. Zora could be in harms way. 😢 Mamita and her two older kids are so precious...love them all. Thanks Brad.

      She undoubtedly is, but there's still time to persuade her to live out of the danger zone. She could also go the opposite direction from me and cross that open area where the power lines are, and there's private property with lots of trees that won't get demolished. Not sure if those property owners are kind to squirrels though, but she's at least got that option. Hopefully Zorra can help me help her, maybe this new guy too.

      Not sure if he's related to her, but yes the road is very bad for wildlife... especially Sherman's as they usually don't sprint across.

      Spend enough time watching them and it becomes easy to tell them apart.

    Are you sure you haven’t been having any recurring dreams about a really big flood lately & feeling compelled to do something pretty extreme to survive it, like, say, build an ark big enough for all the animals to fit in it with you? The way all the local wildlife seem drawn to you is almost uncanny…
    Your new Sherman sighting is pretty exciting, although I hope he’s not regularly trekking across that road & has decided to stay on your side now. I hope Zorra approves of her potential new ‘friend’ 🐿♥️🐿
    I’m glad to see Mamita is still pulling out all the stops to look after her new babies too. I was a bit worried she’d somehow taken offence to you trying to get a premature peek at the little ones in the last video she featured in & might be giving you the cold shoulder to teach you a lesson, but there are clearly no hard feelings there - being a mama squirrel is just hard work!
    Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

      I hope he only crossed that road once and is on his way towards Zorra. Going back and forth wouldn't have good odds.

      @@SeymourtheSquirrelIf he stumbles upon Zorra’s stash under the water trough I’ll be willing to bet he’ll be tempted to investigate sticking around on your side of the road🤞🏻

    • @SeymourtheSquirrel
      @SeymourtheSquirrel  6 месяцев назад +4

      @jefforton9122 I'll be impressed if he shows up here, I'm still scratching my head about why he crossed the road where he did and went to that yard. If he was really tracking Zorra's scent then he would have crossed the road a bit further down and gone from his dense woods to her dense woods. He'd be taking the dangerous path this way with a lot of open field with hawks & at least one fox in the area. The good news is he hasn't been found on the road hit by a vehicle, so I hope he can find Zorra or my yard.

      @@SeymourtheSquirrelMaybe whatever it was that caused Zorra to venture out of the area she was born & raised in has now also prompted this male to seek new territory too? Perhaps there’s a local predator moving through previously safe Sherman’s fox squirrel turf, or perhaps there’s some pre-highway construction survey work going on somewhere that’s disturbed them? I suppose it could just be that these two are overspill from a particularly successful Sherman’s fox squirrel habitat a way away & they’ve just naturally reached your part of the county looking for a new place to call home.
      If it wasn’t for the looming prospect of the highway, these sighting’s would be unquestionably fantastic news. As it is, I wonder how many more there might be who would best be relocated somewhere safe from what’s to come, & where they might all be able to go that could support them 😔
      Like you, I hope Princess Zorra & this new male manage to avoid any car encounters & establish their own safe spaces near enough to you that they can avoid the new roadway & can benefit from your care & kindness while we all share in your beautiful adventures together! I’m loving finding out about this gorgeous new species of my favourite little creatures 🤗♥️🐿

    Brad when is the last time you saw Zora ????

    • @SeymourtheSquirrel
      @SeymourtheSquirrel  6 месяцев назад +2

      9 days ago... March 8th. Some of those days there was machinery (lawn mowers, tractors, miter saws) or the cows probably keeping her away. Hopefully she turns up again soon, I've been keeping an eye out everyday for her. She's got access to the cows' water on that property behind me, so she doesn't have to come all the way to my yard to drink.

    • @marissaawesome2422

      @@SeymourtheSquirrel Man that sucks. I have been wondering. Does she have to cross that road to get to you?

    • @SeymourtheSquirrel
      @SeymourtheSquirrel  6 месяцев назад +3

      @marissaawesome2422 Zorra doesn't need to cross the road, I believe she just crosses through the woodsy property behind mine where the cows are. Unfortunately that neighbor has been working over there almost daily, so that's probably kept her from coming by. There's also been a few fox sightings over the last week, so that's not helping either. Since I last saw her, the trees have really started coming back to life and it seems like the number of grays at the feeders has increased quite a bit... almost looks like it's mating season so if that male is chasing around Zorra that will also complicate her visits. Hoping to look outside and spot that big girl soon!

      I hope she turns up soon. Whatever the reason for her absence, I’m sure she’s missing you a lot too. Those last few videos you posted of her really show how comfortable she is around you & how fond she’s become of your interactions. I realise the awesome free food is probably still the major draw, but I get the feeling she’s enjoying getting to know you as well, Brad 🤗♥️🐿
