    Turns out I didn't know any of these.
    Really interested in checking out Crimson Exodus and Open Quest - would love to see some how it plays of those.
    Thanks as always for the great content!

      I'm most definitely doing some how it plays of those two in the future! Stay tuned for those.
      And thank you for staying around and enjoying my videos! ☺️

    Oh master Walter you have bested me with Crimson Exodus. I didn't think you would.

      I did not best you for the sake of fame and glory.
      I did it for the Guild and the community. And to spread wisdom of the amazing games that still lie out there, waiting to be found by a larger audience.

    It's always great to see people showing off more independent RPGs! There's so many hidden gems out there, and I'm under the impression many people aren't even looking because they are content with their fast food RPG dominating our hobby. Praedor looks very interesting actually with its seemingly post-apocalyptic fantasy setting. I'll definitely look into it!
    In the meantime, here's my recommendations: Zweihänder RPG (new edition coming soon), KULT, anything from Free League, though I'm not a big fan of the Year Zero engine, Blades in the Dark, Beyond the Wall.

      Thank you for suggestions! And I agree, it is good to have a look around and see what is out there.

    Just stumbled upon your channel by accident (the algorithm) and thought I recognised you! I attended your presentation in Ropecon :D You were really good, I had a great time (Bilbor ✊✊)
    Unsurprisingly as a Finn who attends Ropecon I knew about Praedor already, but the others were new to me. My tastes veer more towards other genres right now, but it's good to know that when I inevitably get a craving for high fantasy or heroic fantasy type of games there's plenty for me to check out (that isn't DND :P).
    Very excited to check out your other videos too! Also - you should definitely play or do a How it plays on Praedor on this channel, I'd at least be interested to see it.

      Thank you so much for attending Ropecon and I'm glad you found my channel. :D
      I have done some videos of other genres as well, but I am well overdue for another one!

    Really good video! Can you make a video about City Of Mist? I have the impression that the system may be really good for solo game, since is just a bunch of move's and conditions/status effects, you could give a feel tweeks to make it better for solo but in general i really want to see a full video of you covering it!

    • @CRP-Waltteri

      I will keep city of mist in mind! I have actually read the rules before, but that was a long time ago so I could re-introduce myself to it.

    Crimson Exodus' dice system allows for a lot of player expression, it seems, but probably needs a table of math nerds. 😂
    And I'd love to see Praedor!

    • @CRP-Waltteri
      @CRP-Waltteri  6 месяцев назад

      Well, on a base level you will always count the biggest die, so there is not much addition like for example in openD6 system where you add all the dice...
      That's true that math nerds can really get into detail, when counting the different probabilities that the possible different dice pools have.
      I will definitely keep Praedor in mind.

    I'm rather surprised. I'm a bit of a pdf hoarder and love looking for lesser known systems and I haven't heard of any of these. I enjoy your videos but I hadn't subscribed yet, but I had to subscribe because you won the bet.
    Pretty cool to hear about HoMM though. I never played any of the HoMM games, but I played Crusaders of Might and Magic to death on PS1.

      Thank you for your subscription!
      I am also really excited about HoMM...as a fan of 2D20 system (I think as a system it has a lot of potential) and also as a Fan of Heroes III, that game was my first introduction to western high-fantasy and kinda worked as a soft introduction to CRPG mechanics. (The fact that you generals leveled up and gained loot tms.)

    Love to heard more of Praedor ! The system remind me alot of old Ad&D where this was an optionnal way of rolling 3 to 5 D6 under Attributes. And yes I loose ...

    I knew that I was in trouble when you said you're Finnish. But even without slipping in a Finnish game, you beat me with Crimson Exodus. Let me test you with Ahris, the 2d20 Fantasy game that already exists! Ahris was written by Jeremy Gypton using the Modiphius' 2d20 free licence arrangement. It's well written, and if you ignore the included setting, pretty generic.

      The creator of Praedor Ville has said few times in his bloc, that because it is a lisenced product, he will do an English translation of the game in the future if and when the original work also is translated.

  • @BlackMadKing
    @BlackMadKing 6 месяцев назад

    i guess Praedor books have not been translated in English yet 😢 but is there any way to purchase Praedor rulebooks?

    • @CRP-Waltteri
      @CRP-Waltteri  6 месяцев назад

      www.puolenkuunpelit.com/kauppa/product_info.php?products_id=139595
      One place you can buy it is puolenkuun pelit, it's a respectable hobby game store in Finland.
      Not completely sure where they will ship but you also get PDF from the purchase.
      I also recommend sending email for the creator Ville through Praedor.net he seems like a guy that loves to introduce his game to anyone who is interested.
      Here is also a bloc post in english from ville about the English translation (and the lack thereof)
