Interesting having a designated banker for Gordon's Hill. If you think about for a moment, Edward isn't always going to be there to bank trains and he would be quite old to do it by a certain point. And other engines would either be busy with their own jobs or be underpowered for banking. So in a way, Antares is like the 'Big Bertha' of Sodor as that locomotive was also built to bank trains up the Lickey Incline.
You give your OC'S better design and character than i do lol I like Antares design As for who next here's a list of them: Warringhton Thorkell Bartholomew
This video was a great. But, I have a few questions. How does the NWR go through 4 different locomotive designs without going bankrupt? I can understand the 0-8-0. But the 2-6-0+0-6-2, then the 2-4-4-0 & the 0-6-6-0. Those would have been very expensive and could put the NWR deeper into a hole that they dug. The only way i can see this working is if they were reusing parts from the older designs and reusing other parts. This one is a nitpick but, why those Antares have 3 domes? Like Big Bertha had 1, the garratts had one, and almost all standard UK locomotive had one. I could see Him having a top feed. But overall, the design is amazing and I like it. Good job on history cant wait to see your history on the NWR's Fleet of 4-8-0's as it was 5809 "Rampage" that sent me on the track to make locomotive sprites of my AU.
the non-sentient banking engines were scrapped w/ parts going to newer builds; & cheaper metals were used wherever possible to cut costs. Antares was ~40% aluminum & other cheap metals before those parts were replaced w/ proper steel parts after the depression ended. also 2 of antares’ domes are sand domes akin to Porter & Rosie :)

For the next Porterverse OC, I would like to see Thorkel next. (Probably spelt his name wrong).

I like Antares design
As for who next here's a list of them:
Warringhton
Thorkell
Bartholomew
Antares sounds like a pretty chill guy to be around. I like the design and his personality!
I just can’t wait for the video on how you made Antares
A shame for the 0-8-0 banker, it easily could've been repurposed into a heavy shunter like the Z Class of the Southern Railway.
Shame 'she' was never named either, great potential for a brand new character. 💯
This video is so epic well done man
2:04 Heck yeah! Love Garrett locomotives.
Think the one I want to see the most is thorkell since his basis seems to be the most interesting
Antares is a name of Greek origin and means brightest red star. 🌟 🇬🇧
and yet Antares is indigo
Amazing I can't wait for him to have a model he'll look so AMAZING
Amazing work
4:57 hes just like me fr

If anyone has a picture or any info on Antares's basis it would be much appreciated.
Now, "The COMPLETE History of the Friendship Express"
Also, how to sentience?
Why did they build and dispose of anything I didn't work.
Do you have any plans of making this engine a physical model?
eventually yea :)
The only sad part about this is that he’s no longer number 69… 😭
belle is 69420 though
I really like Antares and to be honest i would like to se forkel :)
On a slightly different subject i do know there was narrow gauge tramways used in Haiti 🇭🇹 as far back as 1876 to the 1970s. @FirePorterYT
Warrington would be nice
Woooooo lets go
I think thorkell would be nice
Is there a basis that maybe inspired his design?
Big Bertha was a big inspiration, especially w/ the 10 driving wheels :)
@@FirePorterYT Any ten wheeled tank engines? If I wanted to draw Antares in future I'd need a basis to help.
Personally, I'd make Antares a GER Class A55, it looks so much better than a freelance design. Plus he'd be just as strong. 😊 @FirePorterYT
What locomotive is Antares based on?
did you watch the video
@@johnathonmcjohn3 yes, his basis wasn't mentioned. Only his number of wheels.
he’a a custom design lol :)
@@FirePorterYT nevermind
A love it man ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
