Finally I played with Hetzer. Many of you asked me to use this thing over the years, and here we are. In a hull down position(if you hide your lower plate) Hetzer can take a lot of beating, well till the enemy starts using HE... Low tier Foch.

@@dumbassman69 Germany was only operating country of hetzer, same as LT vz. 35 and 38. For example germany builds leo send it to ukraine and the loeos operating country is ukraine but country of origin germany.

7:40 the enemy was on a cap point so you can just look the distance to the capture point. Same with enemies close to cap points. Cap points in general are avery good way to tell distances

This and Jagdpanzer IV are literal bounce machines at that BR. These 2 are still sitting at the top 2 positions of my Germany stat board despite me playing higher tiers more now. Anyways, it's always a great day when Dollar plays

I mean, they are fine, more than once I just shrugged off the hit from roughly 100 mm AP shell like it was nothing... But GOD, Hetzer is SO FUCKING SLOW on hills, as most of matches I am in are just fucking hills!!!

Although you needed the HE for the SU-5-1, in other situations you can use it against M10s as well
I never really tried to use HE on M10, AP usually does the job. I need to test it some day
@@DOLLARplaysHE is so unfair against M10s. I use it a lot in the Puma, even the 50mm with HE will instantly kill the whole crew just from hitting a track or the edge of the hull. I often shoot their MG sticking over cover as well.
He is great against the m10 in tanks that struggle to pen it with ap@@DOLLARplays
I played a small bit of KV-1E about 6 days ago, died to a hetzer and that’s was the last I played of warthunder for now.
This video popped up, made me remember getting dinked by a hetzer and gave me a small heart attack thinking I was about to be posted online actively lacking.
All in all, good video.

Could you possibly do a video where you play with the DF105? It's 8.0 Germany and I've fallen in love with it. I find that it can kill almost anything with its HEAT round, that combined with it's super short reload makes it amazing for medium/close range.
You mean it's good for medium/short range because the cannon has that short range?
Idk tanks after KT, i'm just asking because if it's HEAT then the distance shouldn't be a problem for it's pen
@@zarandadam1718 the cannon isnt the issue, the issue is the lightly armored marder chassis 😂 youll get fucked up by anything so weaving thru buildings and being sneeki breeki is your best bet

That’s the perfect tank for bouncing alot of shells and recently I’ve played the hetzer only to feel like a bunker st 4.3 and I love seeing the ricochet marks on my tank

1 hit u receive gives you 10 score on receiving damage, so if you put your cursor on your score and look at your recieving damage, you can see how many hits you’ve survived. So 100 receiving damage score = 10 hits survived. But remember thst critical hits give a bit more than 10 and machine gun sometimes gives you score too.
I once survived 31 shots in the is3 but my receiving damage score was over 400. Vid of that on my channel for proof
Is anyone gonna talk about the Pz IV H and J having 165 mm of pen at 3.7
Here's an eventual challenge, if you so choose:
38t chassis tanks only.
Can be done with Germany or Sweden.
Lot of options with both. That chassis just kept on giving variants. Very versatile for such a small thing.
Been watching these videos over 2weeks now. Love that you play alone, so theres no 3-1 battles. Also it shows you have knowledge over things like angles etc. You accent is amazing, when you react to things. Not just playing and getting mad.
People complain that the Hetzer is too OP, but though it's invincible in downtiers, it might as well be cardboard in full uptiers(those things that happen 80% of the time), so moving it in either direction isn't really going to do any good.
Despite having no explosive inside, the high velocity APCR from the long 75mm StuGs actually make for decent AAA, hence why I carry about 20 APHE and the rest APCR.
I so love the hetzer. Have been playing with it a lot lately bcos of it’s good armour and easy to hide. And cant belive u playin it too 🎉

I remember playing this thing in Arcade on Volokolamsk and got around seven to eight kills in one life after a push past A. I bounced so many russian and american shells and they kept coming out one after the other. Took about four of them to team up and finally kill me.
And then right after that match, Gaijin said "no more fun for you" and proceeded to give me crappy matches where I only got two or three kills before all three lives were used up.

On that snow level with the lake if you flank to the lake side you can get a great view of the enemy as they push into the center I like to sneak across the lake often they never even look there.

I've always had a good time playing the hetzer. It's not too bad if you can get into a good position.
in another tank game, this is also why the KV-1E, KV-1, sherman, cherchill, and even tier 4 tanks cant sleep at night (the game is called steel titans if anyone wants to know)
and that kids, is why we play the KV-1B, so we don’t face that
I was in a low tier match once, and a hetzer got downtiered, camped our spawn not even trying to hide, and DESTROYED EVERYONE.
My favorite german 4.3 lineup: Hetzer, Jagdpanzer IV, Sturer Emil, Brummbär, Fw 190 F-8, Do-335s, Maybe He 219
I remember Spook playing this thing and what I can remember: Hetzer main weakness are planes :D. It gets shredded like cheese on a grater. It is basically an open top vehicle from the top (I believe it's 20mm armor from top?)
i remember the shot trap on this thing just under the barrel works very reliably for kv-1's
Funny the real Hetzer was a iron coffin. Underpowered engine. The binoculars were field binoculars and it was just uncomfortable for any crew member to fit inside the box.

Giving you guys a trick, if you have a gun that has at least 10mm of HE pen, you can overpressure it by shooting the machine gun on the roof
I was late into my game because I was watching this video, and got my first nuke that game with the Type 99. But I must give credit where credit is due, the cybermaus sticker plastered across my tank blessed each shot, and even saved my life a of couple times.
I’m now going to play the Hetzer
Hetzer & Sturer, my favorite combo. Add Sturmtiger for flavor. Sturer is a sniper long range, shotgun close range.

By the way, the Jagdpanzer IV at the same BR as this thing is supposed to have the same 80mm frontal armor as the later Jpz IV with the Panther gun, but gaijin can't read.

@@DOLLARplays It would, but the one we have now is a very rare prototype. Not an actual production model like you'd expect of a vehicle like this in the tech tree, which annoys me quite a bit.
Besides, the Hetzer already exists for 4.3. No need for a second one.
historically, it is unlikely KV1 and Hetzer ever met, since KV1 was used defensively at the beggining of the war, and Hetzer came at the last 2 years of war, when every German armor was run over by quicker T34s. It would be interesting tho to duel it out tho.

In my opinion the panzer 4/70 is even better, it has 80 mm of angled front Armor at 5.7 and the 75mm pak40, basically smol jagdtpanther with only 50mm less pen (still around 160 at 500m)
2:07 seems like Gaijin upped the explosion size alot on bombs. That was a 1000lb bomb but it looked like the Pe-8 nuke.

Always was a big Hetzer fan. I remember waaaay back when I unlocked it, I probably played 200 rounds without changing tanks, just laughing at every bounce while slaughtering everyone. Good times, 10/10 would respawn.

One of the best game i had in the game was indeed on the Hetzer, good old time when i still had time and interest to upload games.
And i played it still on ps4, now i could have upload stuff from playing on pc, but time and patience are really on the lowest point ever (thanks also to the great number of "good gaming chair" users...).
