Finally after many years of waiting we have Sturmtiger in War Thunder.
My most waited tank in the game, derp of all derps is here!
Sturmtiger was a World War II German assault gun built on the Tiger I chassis and armed with a 380mm rocket-propelled mortar. The official German designation was Sturmmörserwagen 606/4 mit 38 cm RW 61. Its primary task was to provide heavy fire support for infantry units fighting in urban areas.
In War Thunder Sturmtiger rocket has 135TNT that can be reloaded in 40s max.
Tiger1 hull with 150mm sloped armor at the front. But with all that armor 380mm gun barrel is the biggest weakspot with only 10mm of armor. Every hit at it will "ammorack" you.
Sturmtiger is hard to use, but fun play with.

It's a hard beast to master. Maybe not most efficient tank in game, but it's fun to play with, and I love it💪😎. Definitely I'll be playing with it again and again and again...
So guys how's the sturmtiger for all of you? Is it bad or too OP? Probably the things are wild now since everyone have to get it out of their system .
Super fun so far though the explosion radius is disappointing considering the amount of explosives in the rocket...
Very gud. should be a oneshot if you hit any tank tho. Its the equivalent of a 125kg bomb. not too big, but should be enough to kill something if it hits

It's fun first time I took it our first was 3x kill. Not going to be a main for me by any means but still pair I with the maus in line up and go kick ass and chew bubble gum.
i find it underpowered, hard to aim and very easy to get killed. i love it but i think the implementation was seriously botched, the explosive mass feels like it's less than 50kg. also there are those issues range finder lies that you got, i get lots of those.
Man, I was waiting for this video since 1944 when strumtiger was made. It's been 78 years. My wish is completed

One of the best things about this thing is that it’s a premium, but not because it’s easier to research with, but because it’s low repair costs make it so you don’t have to play efficiently all the time and you can actually have fun in it.

@@familyjobe853 yes, but however much HE they have, this thing has at least 10 times more
yes but you have also 10mm of armor in the barrel wich mean that you can be killed more easly then any other low tier spg. and beside the fun with an spg is to kill a big modern tank with a small one

like the FV4005 for example, not the most practical tank but fun when you hit something
@@capfig4471 but i find that it is funnier to kill an abram with a rank 1 and then gain 30'000 credits to paid your tanks
Dollar makes these so high quality and well edited, half the time it makes me feel like these are games that aren't out yet and are all teaser trailers.

This really **is** the derpiest gun in the game.

You can go to sleep after grinding this while reloading
to be fair with that thing historically as someone pointed out the thing has a 12 round mag that allows it to load up quick but the crew has to get out of the thing to load up the mag for each single shot.

The Strumtiger is essentially a mortar. Have someone ping and you just fire at the location.

However in game you get map pings and scouting… imagine just playing this with a friend scouting.

I don't know, who was more surprised, us, the M22 and the SU, or Dollar.
Or, literally no one expected it.
It was funny imagining the crew not bothering to ignite the rocket motor, rather just pushing it out of the tube/barrel, to clang on the ground before exploding.
@@IMelkor42 if this was a real life moment I think they would simply let go the sturmtiger, ammo racking a sturmtiger at that distance with that amount of explosives would be like blowing up a PE8 bomb near you.

The thing that angers me the most about the first stage ammo rack in the barrel thing is that since it counts as first stage ammo the game will automatically put the shell there, which makes sense. But like I said, it counts as first stage ammo, not the gun actually being loaded. So, what happens is, let's say your barrel is broken, it will still move a round into the barrel regardless of your gun not actually being reloaded, allowing someone to ammo rack it. But after you repair you still have to reload the gun anyway even if the interior view shows that the shell is there. The reason it's usually not an issue is that the time it takes to load the gun is the same time it takes to move the round to first stage ammo, so you don't normally notice it until someone ammo racks your barrel when you aren't even reloaded. It's honestly a really dumb mechanic and bug and makes it extremely unfun to drive for that reason alone, otherwise I've had quite a bit of fun in it :)
Yup the shell is always there, doesn't matter if you're reloading... I totally agree with you
You do realise that if the barrel was reloading, it will be open. Aka you have access to the entire inside of the tank.
This bug has been plagueing a lot of ATGM vehicles for a long time now. I get ammoracked in the M901 or wiesel all the time by getting shot in an empty launcher.
@@uisce_ The issue is the barrel ISN'T reloading. The gun is broken preventing the game from starting my reload, but it still places the round in the first stage ammo rack (that being the barrel itself) allowing them to shoot the round with their machine gun blowing it up without my gun actually being reloaded.
@@DOLLARplays Just makes angling a pain since they just spray the barrel with a machine gun even if the gun is completely busted and you're nowhere near reloaded. :(

This was a blast seeing those long range derp shots hit their destination.
Haven't had so much good maps for sniping sadly but i already managed to get first kill by blind sniping the enemys point once it started to get captured.
Long-range shots are the best. Especially when it takes so much time to travel at this velocity , and just a big boom at the end. Unfortunately, we don't get many big maps
