Maureen Ojwaka - The importance of language learning in adapting to a new culture

The core essence of learning a new language is learning to communicate the way the locals communicate, not just translating words. The further you are from your culture, the more important it is to be intentional in understanding the social aspects of the language. Maintaining a healthy curiosity during this process is crucial especially in times of trial and error.
