The moment I so the dog I knew pri choosed her because of his illness. one of her interviews she told that she worries sick about his suger level and keep checking on him at night. Now they lives in thier new home but she's not home all the time stay out of the country for her work and. Now she got a dog for him that can help. Good move.

Well, giving animals to people without being sure they will take care of them all their life isn't the best idea. That's why shelters are filled with abandoned animals because people thought at first they were just "cute" and when they grow up, people realize having an animal isn't about being cute, it's a real life-long commitment. Giving an animal to someone is a great gift if they were considering adopting one anyway. But it should never be something done lightly.

Dog is not a strange gift you coma host! Their wealthy couple they can afford anything materialistic and the woman gave a dog because she knows dogs are so much loving to the owner and their love is unconditional. No diamonds or platinum can come equal to that.

Divya Srirajyala animals are a lot of responsibility, commitment, and money. If someone hasn’t agreed to that or expressed they want it before hand, that’s a lot of pressure to give with a “gift”. Plus, animals are usually a 10-20 year commitment. Shelters see a huge intake of dogs in January and February because people got or gave them as gifts, especially to kids, without thinking through how much money and commitment they are or the fact that they don’t stay tiny puppies.
How is it not ok? Dogs are a wonderful present, way more valuable than anything materialistic can ever be, they become life long companions. When you know your partner is a dog person then obviously it would be wonderful for him. They have been taking care of Diana together, she knows if he will appreciate one or not. Like if you ask me I am sure my boyfriend would cry the day I gift him a little pup.
Harshita Bhuyan it’s not okay for all the reasons already listed. It’s a lot of responsibility to give as a gift. Getting a pet should be something well discussed and well prepared for.
Fellow diabetic here and would love to have the money to get a dog and train him to become a diabetics dog 🤷🏼♀️

There is always the possibility of rescuing a pup which would cost less!
Just rescue a dog. Find a trainer to help you find the right temperament. Hell of a lot cheaper and you save a life. Absolutely no reason to buy a dog.

I would love a dog as an anniversary gift! My husband knows I’ve been wanting a dog desperately. I’ll happily clean up the poop and watch my friend age because old dogs are just as wonderful as puppies. Of course, it’ll be sad when the dog passes, but all the joy would have been worth it.
I feel both ways. I had a dog for 14 1/2 years that I adored even as she got old. But it’s also a HUGE responsibility especially if you don’t have the money (like Prick) to hire a dog sitter / trainer / nanny.

German Shepherds are always the way to go. I have two German Shepherds and they are Brilliant 👌 both police dogs, so they are trained for anything. Perfect dog to have as a best friend👌
