She doesnt actually watercolor "in" her bujo on a large scale though. Most times the big pages she does and pastes in, if you notice. =) but yah I love her spreads too!
ChristinaMyLinh does lovely watercolor. I've seen quite a few others, but most people paint on a separate page and then stick it in their journals. Some will paint it on watercolour paper, scan and print, some just stick the watercolour straight in, some paint on normal white paper which isn't as thick ... that's what I do as well. I'm only a beginner, but I like how it turns out even on thin white paper. The thinner paper will wrinkle, but I don't find it to be an issue. And the RUclipsrs I've seen doing it paint beautiful stuff. I think that's the best idea, especially since it looks like the pages of your journal are a bit thin to handle watercolour
Try Jannplansthings channel. She uses watercolor all the time, and talks about the way she had to change her technique for her bullet journals, especially in her older videos. She also recently did a whole month using Posca pens only.
CONGRATS on going vegan!!! 😊🌱Just a friendly clarification about B12: it doesn't actually come from animal products, but rather is a bacteria that used to be found abundantly in our soil and water; however weve now sterilized farming practices so much that maany people (meat eaters and vegans alike) are B12 deficient (trace amounts are found in animals via bioaccumulation in their intestinal tract). Nutritionists encourage everyone to look into their sources of B12 and D3, especially if you live in the N hemisphere! From a first time viewer and now a new sub! ✨ Your approach to bujo is the most relatable and accessible I've seen and you seem really down to earth!! Xx
Inprint does excellent watercolours, and she doesn't seem to use a lot of paint or water, nor does she seem to mess up her journal pages with bleeding/ghosting. Her journal no doubt plays a huge role in that, but there is much to be learned from her techniques. Her February PWMs are great examples. ruclips.net/video/pUmWv9t_BeI/видео.html ruclips.net/video/5fQJ2SVUmKY/видео.html Hope you find this useful!
My mother is a qualified natural health therapist and I have learnt a lot from her. When your sleep changes it is due to what your body needs. It maybe because you’re less stressed you sleep longer, age is also a big factor. As you age your body needs more sleep to repair itself. One of the biggest factors however is usually health and diet. Due to changing you food to a vegan diet it puts a lot of pressure on your body to change and repair. Creating your body to need sleep more. Removing big things from your diet ruins the chemicals in your body that relies on those protein you have removed. Also taking vitamins if not of good quality will make your kidneys and liver work harder. Not a good thing. Just give it time your body will adapt and adjust. However I do recommend you consult a natural health therapist about things you may be missing in your diet.
Yay you said this much more concisely and better than I could. Sleep is so important and adults tend to need 7 hours at least (I need more like 8 due to habit and stress), and when you go on a diet that your body is not yet used to, your body needs to be able to re-calibrate with more sleep. Thank you for making this point better than I could, Luka Deap!
Beautiful! I really liked the arrow you added to the Memories page :) And the whole theme and design turned out great, as usual. Btw I've seen some other YT'ers do the watercolor on a separate page and then glue it in. There's a girl who even scans them, adds lettering/calendar digitally, then prints them out again on photo paper (that way the original painting remains intact). Bottom line is, nobody seems to be having an easy time painting directly in the journal - it's probably easiest to do it on a separate paper.
Firstly, love the idea. Great colors too. Your videos and design are amazing! Keep up the good work!!! Second, there are a few RUclipsrs I follow who use water color and they all recommend the same thing. Paint it on water color paper, then scan it and print that. The water color paper is thick, so printer paper is better in your journal. Or, the Dingbats brand of journals has thick paper that doesn’t bleed through with water color. You can check out “Plant Based Bride” for her water color stuff as well. Good luck!
Please check out Shayda Campbell's RUclips channel. She does watercolor all the time. It's okay to do watercolor in your journal, just put a piece of paper between pages and don't plan on using the back of the page that your watercolor on! Just. Have. Fun. With. It!!!!!!1
I am so impressed by all work you do!! I have finally found someone who has a style that inspires me in the direction I want to go with my bullet journal. Thank your for doing what you do! Keep up the good work!! Blessings in LOVE and Light! 💖✨
Omg!! You are the best!! Love you so much!! Btw it’s my bday today!! I was wondering if maybe you could do a shout out on a video or even your story!! I tots understand if you can’t but I would love it as it’s a really hard one!! I love you so much!! You always inspire me!! You don’t even have to worry doing a shout out, you could just like this comment!! Love you!! 💖💖
Hey Erin. I was watching another of my favorite bullet journalists and she mentioned the classes on. Skillshare she used to learn watercolores. ruclips.net/video/52GUKeUQVL0/видео.html that is the link to her video. Hope it helps. And loved your theme.
B12 is really the only thing you need, if you eat diverse. 😊❤️ (and D if you live where it's dark half year, D is very important) I take some other vitamins too, don't always eat diverse enough. :p Love your spreads. 😄 Don't get why so many make those small trackers though, they are pain in the a** and takes forever. xD
lol it's called getting older(jk...sort of). Your body will adjust to your way of life. I'm sure you don't have the exact same activities and hours as you did before. You can try adding something to refill areas you'd like. Like yoga, a short workout, or something less physically active and more mentally active like reading. It takes time to fall into and out of things.
I watch every vid youtube gives to my home page, and whenever i see the tattoo, then i know it's your channel😂 Love the month cover😍 Btw, watch my setup tooo, thanks 🙏
What? You are amazing, thank you for sharing. I been looking for this tutorial, want it to use watercolor, and the idea on how to cover the bleeding, wow!, I will use all your ideas and color scheme .
Been following you and I am trying to figure out what mechanical pencil you are using. When I clicked the link for your pencil it was a kit and the two pencils looked nothing like yours! Ha ha ha yours looks cooler! Hee hee what pencil do you use and love and what size? 05 or 07?
First, I don't recommend wet on wet on that kind of paper- I would do watercolor pencils or paste in something done on a separate piece of paper. What you could try for 'fixing' the bleeds is getting watercolors that are labeled 'liftable' or 'non-staining' so you can blot the color off the other side of the paper.
If you're worried about bleed thru with anything; water color or whatever, put a scrap paper behind your page so it wont mess up the next page.I also think the water colors your using are more made for actual water color paper.
What I do for watercolor style intro pages is I actually do a watercolor on a seperate paper (using actual watercolor paper) then once finished I can either cut and stick it in or I scan and add text/enhance in photoshop then print and cut/paste so it doesnt bleed through plus if you mess up its not a huge deal. Hope this helps! I know its a bit more tedious but it works.
I love your February theme. I didn't want to do hearts for February either. I think you have inspired my theme for next month! Could you tell me where you found your circle stencil?
Love this theme, your crystal ball is fantastic & the green & purple effect, WOW! I know nothing about watercolor & hope you find a solution. I know there are tons of bullet journalists using watercolor, no idea how they're doing without bleed on bj paper. My Dad was an artist, beautiful watercolors & I have all his stuff. I just tried your crystal ball technique after watching your vid using 'Krylon Matte Finish 1311' from my Dad's stash. Was able to get your effect with absolutely no bleed through on back page! Started to leave details here, but not sure I should leave such a ridiculously long comment. Please reply if you are interested & I will be happy to email or whatever details, pros, cons. Your magic spread is gorgeous. You know what would be great? If you could maybe film a still shot of your finished pages at the end. I know we can hit pause, but the danged play/pause button stays right in the middle & I can't figure out how to make that go away so I can see😂
With the watercolour, the paper can have a lot to do with bleed through. The Archer and Olive and Lenome notebooks hold watercolor well but have very thick pages. Leuchtruum notebooks hold the watercolour well too and they have thinner pages
@@ThePetitePlanner That's me. I have to force myself to bed & then I wake up about every hour- & I get up, do this or that, make myself go back to bed etc. My friends always have said I don't need sleep lol. But I know my body does so I try! The struggle is real!!😉
I'm new to bullet journaling. This is my 2nd year doing a bujo and I'm still figuring out my style. I LOVED this video because you have a lot of great advice in it. Also a big Pinterest nerd here and I have tons of secret boards just for me to see. Can't wait to see what theme you come up with for next month ^_^
@Oana's Illustrations I'm finding it a BIT easier now that I'm letting myself have fun with it and learning my own style. The boards I've created on Pinterest definitely help! :) I do find that coming up with themes, or color combos a bit distracting sometimes. But my bujo has helped this month keeping me organized.
Have you ever ran into trouble with fading or smudging from a black fineliner when you are erasing the pencil? I splurged and got the "cool kids" pen (the sakura micron) and while it writes gorgeously, it smudges something awful and fades to almost nothing with erasing (lightly of course!! I'm not erasing that hard, and it's a good quality white rubber eraser) I'm thinking it might be paper related? I googled for a whole night and couldn't find a single complaint on the pen, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong
@@ThePetitePlanner thank you for taking the time to reply! ❤ My journal is a Paperblank and the only poor reviews I could find on it is that the paper doesn't like fountain pens sometimes. I love how you did those circles to look like a half moon kinda thing? Now, I have the same plastic circle but as much as I tried I cannot get my circles to look like yours on the inside, I'm not too sure how you doing it, are you using a small circle for the inside, it looks like you are turning the circle the other way or something, when I do it, I have a thicker inside circle and it just doesn't look right, can you explain how you do it plz? tfs :)

Ecoline are dye based where watercolour is pigment based. That may be a factor with the bleed through.

Now, I have the same plastic circle but as much as I tried I cannot get my circles to look like yours on the inside, I'm not too sure how you doing it, are you using a small circle for the inside, it looks like you are turning the circle the other way or something, when I do it, I have a thicker inside circle and it just doesn't look right, can you explain how you do it plz? tfs :)
@@ThePetitePlanner Thank you, I would appreciate that. Although I have the same circle marker mines does not have the red part in middle and I've tried lots of time to make these moons but they end with too big a bit in middle! :( x
