And in this line of work, challenging other people explicitly is one way to get more work (i.e., fights). It has been done that way for a long time in different fighting sports. Calling out the next guy you want, etc. Sounds dumb, but that's how they do it. People who watch this are watching people trying to kick the crap out of others. It's not his hand, it's his feet. Those are quick movements and generating power from the legs up.

Fax. Arrogance always comes from a lie, while Confidence is just the truth. Because it can be proven. Over and over again.

Honestly, I think most of the trash talk is just him understanding the "hype game".
I could be wrong, but I think he only does the trash talk to raise drama/awareness and increase purses. It's a tried and true formula many competitors use.

He's already a master of footwork and distance management but from a wrestling perspective rather than striker roots like an Anderson Silva and I think its translating into MMA super well. His takedown threat and great feinting is opening guys up for some well thrown bombs. Reminds me of Dan Henderson, but way more agile.

He has 5 fights…his opponents so far have been so scared of the takedowns they wind up getting clipped. I do want to see him go up against tougher competition.

anyone replicating a Khabib path is one to not underestimate. Wrestlers are actually the most dangerous combaters

If I had to pick only one prior martial arts discipline, I would choose wrestling/grappling. Ben Askren was dominant but not the wrestler Bo is. Once Askren was signed by the UFC, he was already due for bilateral hip replacements.

I don’t think he’s intentionally replicating khabib, but who knows as I don’t know everything about this man Bo.
But it seems they are genuinely similar in nature. They display an elevated sense of awareness and clarity, allowing them to posses extreme discipline and channel their energy to the mastery of their craft. Plus men of god, and that’s massive imo.
This is all my opinion, but it sounds like we genuinely agree and I’m just yappin I admit lol

Not even close to replicating Khabibs path - he is only 3-0 and over 200 other fighters have done this.
