  • We needed a mower for the Florida house, something small and on the a budget. This 30" riding lawn mower by Hart from Walmart was the one we chose.

Looks like it would fit through a normal suburban gate. But the $3498.00 price is hard to accept.

Fall and winter last year it was $2499. If that happens again I’m buying it.

I have had one for over a year and it’s great. Better than the ryobi version because it’s lithium ion and more volts.

That would be nice. They've had the zero turn for a couple of years, and now a tractor design one coming very soon. One like this next would be nice for a lot of people. Yards that are just too big to push but kind of too small for a larger tractor or zero turn is ideal for this.

I wish I could have seen you standing right next to it for a true sense of the size of the mower.

Might be fine in warm climates, but the batteries need to be easily removable in cold climates because if you store lithium batteries in an unheated shed or garage over the winter, they will be ruined. You need to be able to store them inside during the winter months. If not, that would be a deal breaker for most cold climate customers.

Five tiny screws to get to the battery. Same connector for charging the mower works to plug and charge the battery directly! So, offseason battery maintenance is not an issue.

I have owned this for two years and was told by the Hart people to leave it plugged in 24/7. Temperatures where I live can get down to minus 10 F with snow and blizzards. It sits in the garage all year with the batteries in the machine without any problems whatsoever. I think it’s because of the charger which maintains a charge in all temperatures. As I have said, after two years of mowing, it runs just like new so far. The batteries are guaranteed for 5 years and from what I’ve read, they tend to get progressively weaker after that. I am really satisfied with this mower and will never go back to gas.

The color scheme matches the garage door & driveway. You really need to show how it performs, not just showing the controls like a Walmat sales person.

I wish I would have saved for an electric mower. I like my gas riding mower, but I hate dealing with gas.

Gas OPE is really starting to suck lol. I agree. Battery is so easy and simple, no maintenance.

It is a 30 inch mower. As you can see the deck is offset to one side which adds to the width. They kind of made the side dischage chute permanent. I had to remove it and separate the bracket to reduce the width ( I see you have done the same) . It is not easy as they used a spring locking washer for the hinge shaft.
