thanks for the video. I just ordered this saw and need to pick up some steel angle iron as I didn't want to spend the $500 they want for the steel upgrade, not to mention it would have also been multiple pieced. I don't have the saw yet to measure the aluminum track thickness. are you able to tell me if you're using 3" X 3" x 3/16" angle steel?
Yes I just measured for you 3x3x1/4 angle steel. FYI I just cranked my mill after almost a year of sitting had to split some 8x8s for a customer. I was surprised it started on first pull in 24 degrees which I always drain the fuel if it's going to sit. You going to love your mill it's paid for it's self a couple times haha
@@downsteamstudio thank you so much for the quick reply. And that's awesome to hear, I'm super excited to get it in next week. Your video is going to save me a lot of money since I can get that angle steel locally at about $3/ft. Thanks again!
Thanks for your suggestion on the track. I am buying a Sawyer and will get some 3x3 angle right away. I am a novice here, but thought the short sections would be a problem and your review confirmed it.
Dude, my fluid tank did the same. If you look on the top of the tank, there is a number. I scanned the number and found out the manufacturer. I bought the tank thru granger for a fraction of the cost. You will need the fitting off the bottom of your tank, but that's not a big deal.
I heard several people refer to this as a knock-off Honda engine and then you actually went the extra mile and compared it to a harbor freight one which does not instill a whole lot of faith you know for working properly ever or for any length of time.
I'm basing my opinion on pure facts. I owned a couple harbor freight generators with the same similar knock off Honda. Other than branding..This generator ran every day 4 to 8hrs a day for a construction job site for 6 years and we only replaced it because the pull string broke but it would still run today. Replaced it with the same knock off one and its been going over a year every day. Im looking at thousands possibly 8k hours doing the math on height freight knock off honda style engine. I'm speaking from experience
Great tip on the continuous rail upgrade. Thank you 👍🏻

I spent an extra $300 for track extensions. I should’ve bought angle iron apparently. Thanks for the heads up
