After trying and failing to make a WCW game due to the meddling of the WWF, AKI Corporation had to make a wrestling game without a roster. How did they pull it off? Very damn well, apparently.

Actually mayhem came out before backstage assault. Mayhem was decent-ish, backstage assault is the one everyone hates.

@@HazyGray I spent sooo much time on wrestling games in that era lol. I actually played through backstage assault. It used the same engine as mayhem, but somehow got worse in every way imaginable
