Then on the same site theirs a yd100 with a oko carb and mz 65 clone pipe for 220 what do you think is better? Will weight matter im on the big side 240
Hi, so you're the best gas bike mechanic I know. So I had a question for you about my gas bike. I had let my friend borrow my bike and he ran out of fuel, in a pinch he poured straight gas into the tank and put in a random bit large amount of oil. Now my bike won't run but it'll start up a little. Do you know how I can fix it so it'll run? I've changed the spark plug, took off and cleaned cylinder, and it just still won't run. What do I do?
Sorry me again i had another question go max industries has a pk80 kit with a cnc head and mz65 clone pipe what do you think? For 200 bucks as a starter kit for now?
Hello trent!I have a 80cc china doll engine i got on ebay and have it running and it goes about 35mph top speed, what upgrades should i do?Was gonna upgrade it and ride it until it blows up and get a minerelli head and piston like you have
last time was messing with stock avenger85 and its new dellorto 21mm carb and achieved 38mph on flat i think its possible to upgrade the carb more but idk maybe u can say what else i could do more for top speed and perfomance boost?
Gotta try a different sprocket and maybe a pipe. I ran an avenger with smolik head,mz65,32t sprocket and a bofeng I bored the roof out of and did 50mph+ constantly l.
Would have to do enough modifications and mounting to do that. You would have to swap the bevel gears to sprockets and a chain, and also the sprocket being much smaller for the clutch shaft, for it to work. Because otherwise the clutch shaft spins at very low rpm so it wouldn't work.
Cool! Nice to see you build another engine. Athena sport is 12hp right? There is a new design with 19hp but it costs 3 times more. Im gonna get that one after i finish my first build with the stock cylinder. Do you use the stock needle bearing for the piston or you change it? I cant find any other with the same dimension. PS Maby your reeds are worn out/bent?
Nah I said in the video the reeds isn't the problem. I checked and tried everything. I forgot to mention this in the video but the cylinder is scored from the dji action camera test video. I cleaned it up and the piston and reused it, ran fine in the bike build video, then all of a sudden it doesn't want to go past 40mph anymore. I swapped ignition system and carb, fixed case issues (stripped stud threads) and what not until it finally ran right, then same issue, put on a new piston kit, ran fine again, saved it for porting, same issue comes back and no luck. I'm willing to believe the cylinder is too worn now.
Anyway idk about 12hp, thats a possibility yeah. I'd say around 10hp more or less. The mxs is a Zuma racing vertical 19hp jug, but in the real world on bicycle engines, probably 15hp+ depending on setup
@@trentbikes Oh yeah you did mention reeds. Well my guess on what you said is that it gets overheated but doesnt seize. That probably makes the piston ring/rings worn out of tolerance. Have you tried the trick where you drill small holes down to the piston ring from the top of the piston? Maby try new rings with a higher gas/oil mix?
@meskalin64 I did put on a new piston kit (47.6 airsal piston, flat dome, but same size, new ring too) and it did seem to help. Got up to 58mph smoothly. Then saved it for porting and it doesn't want to run right anymore. Probably my porting anyway. Eventually I noticed compression was low, yes I tried mix ratio, and while I was editing the video, i realized I forgot the squish gap after replacing the case (different height). It was 1.3mm. Set it to 0.7 and compression was higher again. It still didn't help tho. So yeah idk. It's strange because it was running fine like how it was (scored plating and blown piston but cleaned up) for miles, now it does this. And I honestly doubt it's my porting. Besides mxs, I need to get a new cylinder kit, like a cheap iron minarelli and try again (had issues with my old iron one) or athena hyper
@@trentbikes Ok good luck. Im sick atm (flu) so i havent started with my build yet. Im mostly looking at videos about it and ordering parts. Got my exhaust with silencer today. Found a cheap one 100$ made for minarelli. Then the plan is to make my own one for the other cylinder. Gonna go for low end power on the stock cylinder and speed with the other.
If someone invented a small, reliable, bolt 🔩 on 2 or 3 speed gearbox for these 2 strokes. They could make a lot of money. It'd help with climbing hills, top speeds & make engine last longer running at lower rpms....I seen a bolt on gearbox for motor scooters 🛴 but it looks too bulky for these 2 strokes.
I think a good solution would be a 2 gear box composed of 2 small bevel gears of different sizes and two clutches of different sizes as well. The high gear one could be activated by centrifugal force coming from the wheel so it would engage only in high speeds
@@GuilhermeTrojan I was just looking at some old 1960s Mineralli 2 stroke moped engines that were 2 & 3 speed....With cable shift & twist grip shift, the engine & gearbox combined look about the same size & design as a cheap china kit....All someone needs to do is clone it's bottom end and give similar bike frame mounting brackets. Or clone the Simson moped engines.
60mph is insane! Nice! But going those speeds you should wear actual gear bro, falling off at 20mph is enough to hurt you bad. 60mph wearing a t shirt, you’re going to turn into Swiss cheese. Change that habit now before you learn it the hard way. Seriously! We care for you!
reliability is of more value than speed speed turns this bike into a suicide machine it's OK for dirt bike racing on an actual track not so with competition on the road dominated by two ton tanks and such that's a death machine
Just in case yall think otherwise... all of the clips are with the cylinder unported. None of them ported. Porting it just didn't succeed.
So you didn’t port the cylinder at all it’s stock or no
