    Thank you very much for this video. I recently installed a 10:1 knob to my 2.5" Hex Focuser and have been struggling to find any documentation on what each screw does. Now I know those two longer bolts underneath are for fastening the wheel to the focuser and that the locking nut can be removed without any problems. Progress!!
    Would you happen to know what the little grub screws do near the tension screws on top of the focuser?
    Clear skies!

    Nicely done. One suggestion would be to put equipment used (screws in this case) in the description.

    Thanks for this video, am about to embark on installing the EAF on my ES ED80. Question: do you have any standoffs, washers, etc between the bracket and the focuser body where the M4 25mm bolts attach? Can’t tell in the video if the bracket is sitting tight to the focuser body or if there is a gap.

      Tyler used standard washers in the video but nothing underneath the bracket that touched the focuser body! Hope this helps

    Did you find it difficult to remove the es bolts? Mine seem extremely tight, even glued and a special washer? 🤷‍♂️

      Hey Steve, there may be some lock tite on the screws. They usually come out pretty easy though. Let us know!

    I cannot remove the set screw on the course knob, it is frozen. The allen key has slipped a few times even though I put pressure down on it. FYI, I'm not simply pressing down, I'm squeezing the allen key down but pressing up on the knob so I don't bend the shaft, but it still wont' budge. Then I put a drop of 'Break Free' (Its like WD-40) in the screw hole and let it sit hoping it would help loosen the screw; still no luck. Any ideas on how to do this without damaging anything? Please help, I'm close to drilling the screw out and/or cutting off the course knob.

    Hi me again, having a lot of trouble finding the .7 thread, I live in Spain I have found .75 but it feels really tight and I’m reluctant to ‘force’ did you find the new bolts a tight fit?

    • @TeamAstroworkz
      @TeamAstroworkz  Год назад

      The thread should be the the exact same if you have to force then it could be wrong from the store.

    I’m guessing American and European bolts are different?

      Do you have a specialty shop? That only does bolts and screws and such! IT’s M4x0.75 pitch at 25mm long
