    Aww babe! It's gonna be okay! And yes this does give you more time to spend with your loved ones before you go (I know you were bummed about potentially missing your nephew's birthday so this is a win!). Try to focus on those good things (time with friends, time to focus on your mental health, time to get some youtubing and creating in) and the bad things will just become silly stories to tell people in the future. You've made it through possibly the worst scenarios and things can only get better from here on out! I love you! You've got this! You'll be zooming around the world in no time.

    My brain went there too during the story. Thanks for sharing. At least you have a good story for when you get asked why you left your current job at a job interview.
    I had a similar thing happen to me when I was 22. My husband got a job down south and we were supposed to move, I had taken a temp job which lasted a few months past his start date so I could stay behind and sell the house, it was all lined up perfectly. Well due to budget cuts they moved his job from a big city down south to a tiny outpost in the depths of Scotland. Which doesn't sound so bad except there was zero jobs for me there and we could not afford to live on a one income household. This was a billions years ago btw so wfh jobs were not a thing back then either 😂😂. So thankfully we hadn't sold our house but we were both going to be unemployed within a few months with a mortgage to pay. Terrifying! So I was applying for jobs left right and centre, even ones which were totally out of my comfort zones and sounded awful, but you know what, I took a job, hated it for the first 2 years but it turned into a career and I totally love the role I have now.
    So I guess what I am trying to say is if the airline is where you want to be then stick with it, take a temp job or join an agency to get you through, but also start thinking of a back up plan as well. Look for jobs which can lead to other jobs you might enjoy, but not loving your job is not the end of the world either. As long as you can put food on the table and a roof over your head, there is more to life than work ❤❤

      That sounds like such a stressful situation, but I'm glad it all worked out in the end! If only state welfare wasn't such a ball ache to get access to in these situations 🙃
      I know what you mean that there's more to life than a job, but it's tricky to see that when you spend so many hours of your life at work. I don't know if it's just the way I was brought up but I've always felt this pressure to have this perfect career that's fulfilling and enjoyable, so this kind of thing gets to me more than it should perhaps. I just want to curl up in a nest of blankets and make pretty things 😂

      @@sadiebelcreations I always felt that too but the irony is that I didn’t find it until I stopping looking! I hope everything works out for you but like you said, if you try it and you hate it then you can always look for something else. Something I do when I start a new job is make a list of why I hated my old job and what I was looking forward to in my new job. New jobs are always awful and I found reading that list every day on my way home helped me to not think I’d made a massive mistake. Maybe make a list while you’re waiting to start. Might help you evaluate the job once you have it.

    It WILL get better. I’ve heard someone describe their 20s as the “decade of terror” because a lot of us have had to work jobs that don’t pay enough or we don’t like and there’s so much uncertainty. You’ll get through it and probably look back at this video in a few years and laugh. But for now, I’m sorry this happened to you. That really sucks. I hope things look up for you soon and that you can start on the 21st and will love it 🙂.

    Not to be contrary, but when I hear that you love your current apartment, love your friends, love having your family nearby, and actually love your job at the cinema...it makes me wonder why you think NOW is the right time to be looking for something else.
    Sure, asking for the old gig back -- again -- will be humiliating. It'll be the hardest thing you do that day, but so what? You've had worse days, and you made it through them all. And look at what the cinema gets out of it: a reliable worker they don't need to train. You know what it's like to work with the new guy; it's a strain on everybody, including the customers (and actually a considerable expense for the company). If you didn't actually tell your boss to fuck off and die, then why wouldn't they welcome you back?
    Would it really be so bad to take some time right now to get your bearings back? To maybe regain some mental/emotional equilibrium? You know, give yourself a friggin' break for a change? Think of how much bonafide SHIT you went through in the past 12 months!
    You're in a funny position, in that some of your most ardent well-wishers are people you don't know. You might think of yourself as a "RUclipsr", but your fans (yes, we really do exist), don't tune in to see if your make-up is on-point, or if your hair is cut and styled just so, or to see if you're being especially amusing or charming on a given day. Those things are great and all, but you have to understand that no one watches your content because they want you to put on a show, or to spin some sort of fantasy for them. We just LIKE you. We want the best for you, and we want you to be happy. You're a wonderful person, and you deserve it.

    • @sadiebelcreations
      @sadiebelcreations  Год назад +1

      This is just the thing ... I didn't look for this now, I applied for this 4 months ago when I was in a very different place mentally, and now I don't know what to do. If the cinema job paid more I would really seriously consider staying, but I'm barely surviving on minimum wage. It's just all quite poorly timed as you say. But I know what I'm like - if I don't take this opportunity I'll always wonder what I could have missed, and if I could have had a great time and expanded my comfort zone. It doesn't make it an easier decision in the short term though 😅
      Thank you for so many kind words. My brain is a bit here, there, and everywhere so I'm not going to be nearly as eloquent as you, but I'm so incredibly grateful to have people like you cheering me on and supporting me. It really means the world to me, and I'm going to take a long time rereading and thinking about this comment. It's a lot to think about. Thank you so much ❤️

    Sorry if this is a bit tangential, but not being able to afford a train reflects poorly on the British government. Trains are potentially an extremely energy efficient, cheap and reliable transport for everyone, not just the few. It should be heavily invested in and subsidised.
    Personally, my mental health issues are theoretically easier to solve, but on the other hand NHS institutional transphobia. My GP is allowed to prescribe me the drugs I need, but isn't allowed to do so for a trans patient.

    • @sadiebelcreations
      @sadiebelcreations  Год назад

      I know, and the rest of Europe understands that and the trains are cheap and efficient, but here in some cases it's cheaper to fly across the country, which is honestly baffling to me.
      That's really sad. We have the power to model how free healthcare can work brilliantly and instead it's all tied up in red tape and right wing politics.
