you have a lot of wrongs here. mordekaiser not older than aatrox. morde was born at 550 bn, while aatrox was born at 5000 bn. they say morde conquered the world but the places he conquered are nearly just the size of noxus + valoran and a part of demacia. and he wasn't the first to use the death magic. karthus, yorick and the mages that binded his soul to the iron body used necromancy. and, morde can only control the souls he killed. meaning he can't control the souls that he didn't kill. on the other hand, aatrox was the second best god warrior. he commanded many armies and gathered many victories for shurima. morde literally just brute forced everything because he can, so it doesn't make him great in tactics. he is still strong despite being stuck in a sword. he is immortal, can use blood magic (not against morde) and can absorb bodies. and he can delete concepts. he killed pantheon, aspect of war (literally god.) also note that aspects are way more powerful than god warriors. he probably can erase morde from the reality but we don't know since none of the rioters said he can.

To enter the world of the living, Mordekaiser needed to bind his soul to his armor and i'm pretty sure that Aatrox can completely destroy souls with his sword. Of course, this was not officially stated, but his phrases strongly hint at it, for example: "Yes Sion! I kill even that which will not die! I end all things!" "I'm not sending you to your death, Yorick! I bring oblivion!" "Your noble purpose amuses me, Nautilus! Fight me, see true death!" Plus a couple more excerpts: "... Disembowl their very souls!..." "... I will carve your souls!" And let's not forget that he has already killed the Aspect of War and also unknown gods like Ornn or Volibear, whose souls should be immortal. I'm not sure if Aatrox is capable of defeating Mordekaiser in a fight, but he's the only one who has the potential to completely kill him.
good point, idk to what end it implies when it was stated that morde is bound to the death realm. if his material body (the iron suit) was destroyed, would it just send him back to the death realm? or could you harm the soul inside it? it’s hard to try and argue around it since the one thing we do know is that he has been banished to the death realm intentionally by being tactically defeated

I think it'd be a really close matchup, cause technically neither of them can ever lose. If aatrox's body dies, he just becomes the sword again, and he'll live to fight another day. If Mordekaiser is brought back and defeated again, he just gets sent back to his realm of death. I think that the goals are what really make the matchup, because Mordekaiser seeks to subjugate all of reality, Aatrox seeks to END all of reality. They're both immortal, so by statistic one will eventually get his wish.
The thing is, that is their soul the one bound to their weapons, Mordekaiser is THE EXPERT in soul/death/necromancy magic so he could very very VERY easily rip Aatrox soul from the blade after he kills the vessel.

Celestials are powerful but they become vulnerable when they fully inhabit a vessel, and since ascencion uses celestial magic via reflecting it with ther sun disc, makes sense for a "Sunborn" made Darkin (and quite the powerful one) to be able to kill a Celestial. Same thing applies with Mihira, she is pretty much 100% celestial by now yet became vulnerable since the aspect fully inhabited her body, got consumed by Xolaani by it. BUT! the one thing Morde has on his side, is the fact that he is a FULLY INCORPOREAL BEING only using a IRON VESSEL for convenience, aka NO BLOOD TO MANIPULATE so Aatrox cannot heal, power up and or grow bigger in size. it would become a matter of "who has better duelist kills" BUT Morde would have another thing for him... he will not be alone, since he would not play "fair" and bring ALL of his legions of wraiths to the battle, plus the knowlodge he might have about the Ascended, blood magic and the COMPLETE MASTERY OF SOUL MAGIC/NECROMANCY AND OTHER TYPES OR ARCANE SPELLS AND THE FACT THAT HE ENSLAVED 2 POWERFUL DEMONS! Pantheon the ASPECT died when fighting Aatrox, but his power lives on in Atreus, the man who we know as Pantheon on the game. The power of a targonian aspect has been suggested at nearly the same as an Ascended Shuriman, but they aren’t more powerful than a remaining Darkin or Mord.
People don’t realize how op mordekaiser really is. He has an army, he manages the death realm, he is problably the strongest mages of all time(ryze can’t control the runes) and aatrox can’t “lifesteal” mordekaiser… Meanwhile aatrox is dead
Aatrox still can kill immortal things, so this very debatable. I remind you that Atrox killed the strongest aspect of Targon, and Mord didn't go any further than the territories of Noxus. Mord is a strong magician, but Aatrox is still the embodiment of pure power (on one of the cards of the game he fights with Xolaani, Cale and Rise)

That is such bollocks. Sealing Aatrox is child's play, especially for Mordekaiser. Due to the nature of his curse, Aatrox' body essentially seals itself, that's why he constantly seeks battle fields ideally. He needs to "carve flesh" in order to replenish his form, otherwise his body burns itself out/breaks itself apart eventually. It's literarily in his lore that he just goes back to being a fuck ass sword if he goes long enough without any opportunity for bloodshed, leaving him waiting for the next mortal foolish enough to pick him up. If they were to ever fight, all Morde would have to do outlast him until Aatrox burns himself out, since Mordekaiser doesn't have a flesh and blood body, and you'd have to imagine that most living things in their vicinity would flee/be killed pretty early on in their ensuing battle. So yes, while Morde doesn't have a way to kill him, he would effectively cause Aatrox to inevitably seal himself due to Morde's body being a full counter to Aatrox' body/regeneration. Aatrox supposedly can permanently kill souls, but that has only been hinted at, there is no concrete feat to confirm that. All we know is that he was able to kill the aspect of war, and that could just mean he can neg aspects(who are still living things, even if more abstract), while Morde, on top of being a dead person, is sort of a one of a kind case in Runeterra in that aspect, as his afterlife/immortality is weird to say the least and not fully understood. My take on this battle is that Morde has a sure 100% proven way to win it(but not kill) while Aatrox does not. But this whole thing begs a more interesting question. What would happen if Morde were to pick Aatrox up while he was in sealed form? Would he be able to basically wield him for free since he doesn't have a flesh and blood body that Aatrox could hijack? Or would Aatrox actually be able to kick Morde out of his armor and place his own soul inside, practically freeing himself from his prison(or trading it for a slightly less constricting one)? in LOR nilah is able to speed past him and nilah speed allow her to get hit by average LOR monsters therefore common sense tells us morde is either a slow movement or nilah and morde are slower than average lifeforms in LOR which wouldnt make sense
Mordecaiser without army loses , but wins with the army i think. Also there is something in Aatrox(blade) that somehow manages to kill gods , wipe them from existence , kill the unkillable . So it is still a fair fight and i would pay to watch a show like arcane portraying their fight
I don’t think morde applies in this regard because he’s not even alive. Unless he went through some process that made him into a god the same way the aspects are like gods, he doesn’t operate under the same rules. Hard to say what would happen unless we get s real encounter in the lore. Would be sick as fuck tho.

Technically speaking Morde is pseudo-concept entity at this point considering that he rules over death and far surpasses death itself. He's not even a soul at this point but rather a consciousness that simply exist in the plane of existence where he binds himself onto his armor on the mortal realm. He also has a pocket dimension which is the death realm itself which is beyond terrifying.
Morde completely destroys current aatrox (trapped in the sword) but if aatrox was to somehow get back to his original form, there are very few that can actually do anything to him.

It all comes down to whether Aatrox can destroy Mordes physical form or not. If he can damage Mordes suit he will defeat (not kill) him, but if he can't then Morde will wear away his host from and revert to just the blade.

And everyone you talk about gets their power from Morde! Why? for their power comes from the dead realm of morde and there morde is its ruler. Morde's power doesn't just affect those he kills. As evidenced by the entire Shadow Isles, any creature that dies goes to Morde's realm even though he doesn't kill them. I just like how i think that Aatrox and Mordekaiser are ever met before in the Runeterra. But then when i read and searching, i found out that this both doesnt ever meet each other. Here's the thing: Mordekaiser is a tyrant of unimagineable power in strength andmagic, waiting to enact his plan of connecting the physical world to his ream of death, so that he can once again conquer the world. While Aatrox is currently a sword waiting to consume the body, mind, and spirit of the next unfortunate idiot to pick up the sword, so that he can end the world due to Ascended God-Warrior depression. TLDR: Both are no closer to bringing their plan to fruition, and the one that gets even ONE step in that direction will win.

Pantheon affected the constellation instantly being considered a chest larger than light in scale 132,558,371c. Remembering that Aatrox slaughtered the old gods and his attacks easily destroyed mountains. In addition, its destructive force is much greater than that of Mordekaiser because it has thousands of kilometers and affects the constellation of war. We can consider large-country level.
Im not gonna say I know who would win, but some of these comments are bringing some points that seem a bit biased. Mordekaiser did conquer the "world"(in reality it was current noxus and demacia, Zaun & Piltover, possibly some of the frejlord) but the darkin very well could have done so too, they were just too busy fighting each other and being manipulated. In fact in one of the runeterra expansions, aatrox alone is such a huge threat that ryze had to intervene, its possible that aatrox alone could have caused massive damage to the current world, and if he raised his army he definetly would just run it down. Another point is, yes aatrox can lifesteal but it doesnt seem like this is something he does while fighting, he just uses the bodies of people he already killed to fuel himself so its not like he relies on this for anything other than to replenish his body after the battle, to add to this, it seems kinda odd he would do this looking at how much he talks about honor and having a duel. In a 1v1, i would not be able to tell who wins, but if we are taking all factors in, id put my money on aatrox. Morde may have an army of dead souls but aatrox has an army of darkin, those guys repelled the void, no one else has come even close to something like that.
Hi, I'd just like to inform you some informations about Mordekaiser. Morsekaiser doesn't just have "souls". He has undead souls of warriors that are worthy to serve him, you can bet that the Darkin's will not find the "souls" as an easy foe. In LoR (Legends of Runeterra) he even has two demons who actually fought side by side with him. These two demons are Atakhan, bringer of ruin & Tybaulk (Annie's fire demon manifesting in her bear; tibbers). Also, it's already proven that Darkin's can be manipulated (LoR wise by Xolaani). If they can be manipulated by a fellow Darkin, then I bet Mordekaiser can and will use that to his advantage since he's one of the smartest creatures in Runeterra. Who knows? He may manipulate Darkin's to fight for him for the price of death. Aatrox can end worlds, but Morsekaiser is a literal conqueror in the realm of the dead. Mordekaiser conquered the realm of the dead. He intentionally allowed himself to get banished (by Leblanc or the Black Rose) the 2nd time as part of his plan. While Aatrox and the Darkin's were outsmarted by mortals with the help of Zoe to imprison them on their own weapons; tortured and unable to die.
@@princenathanielperez595 The darkin cannot be manipulated by normal means. its unlikely they will even be willing to listen to anyone, xoolani was able to directly move the darkin bodies but couldnt really control their minds. Granted this did cause tremendous mental damage to the darkin minds so they were kinda of dead inside after sometime but what xoolani was doing is controlling their blood, since that blood is what she created(created blood magic). I cannot speak for other darkins, but aatrox can very much destroy souls, he may be even be able to give mordekaiser absolute destruction, not just death. Aatrox was able to legitimately destroy the essence of pantheon and correct me in this part if im wrong, but in the process he shattered the star too. In all out war I cannot tell for sure whose gonna win but in the 1v1, its not as one sided as many may think, mordekaiser is very cunning, i wouldnt say he is exceptionally smart, just very wise and with lots of experience. Combat wise he is an absolute beast.
To everybody saying that Aatrox should win bq cause he was the general of the god warries/former darkins, its true that he was and still is very smart, but we must not forget that NASUS was THE brain behind most tactics and wars they fought. I'm not saying that morde is thereby smarter than aatrox, nor that aatrox is. I'm just trying to say that perhaps we should remember Nasus and give HIM some of the credit, no?
people use the argument that aatrox killed the aspect of war but they also forget that this aspect was in the body of an ordinary mortal who also survived and I mean Atreus/Pantheon
I reckon there are a few champions in Runeterra that could permanently kill Aatrox, and if he could, he would throw himself at them for a chance of dying. Those would be: Aurelion Sol, Bard, Full Powered Soraka, Fiddlesticks, Xerath, Mordekaiser, and Zoe.

I don't think people understand Aatrox's size. It's a 1v1 forget about Aatrox's Darkin army or Mordekaiser's undead army. Aatrox is like a tall building right now. He can easily crush Mordekaiser's armor. There would be no fight. Also, Aatrox is like 10000+ years old and Mordekaiser is like roughly 2k+. Both experience and battle IQ goes to Aatrox. Speed and Strenght goes to Aatrox too because of his size. Combat power goes to Aatrox too. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Mordekaiser is weak. He is so strong but Aatrox is just what he says he is right now, literally "DOOM".

Kayle holds her own against Aatrox and his friends while Aspect of Justice faces off against Xolaani. All the while Ryze ponders if he should use a world rune to stop this madness. He decides to stop it. Demolishes Aatrox with his magic.

People are forgetting that morde has an unfathomably massive army lol. Everybody who he killed during his times (millions+) is in there. And every mortal who dies comes to his realm. And against aatrox the army is even stronger since aatrox can only use physical power against them and no blood magic since they dont have blood. Which means he cant heal his wounds. most importantly morde knows how to souls separate. From human to demons he manipulated souls of whoever it was. darkins will be in prison forever. And god of death will feed on power until they die completely. Army in that dimension is endless like souls, morde will absorb them and become one of the most dangerous enemy of Runeterra
As a morde main i think aatrox has this. If anything, he could be one of the very few that can kill morde once and for all. Morde's magical abilities are limitless , and that's his only advantage. I can see them trading blows kinda evenly for most of the fight, but all aatrox needs is one good blow. But i mean, they are such powerhouses that any lore clash would probably end in a standstill and mutual respect. A good point someone made is that aatrox would have legit interest in this fight because morde is probably the only being on runeterra (excluding kindred that doesn't really fight) capable of ripping his soul from the blade, thus giving him the death he seeks.
Thing is aatrox can kill literal gods, while afaik morde cannot. Also I think his army is basically just fodder for aatrox. That doesnt mean he wins, it just means that in a straight 1v1 aatrox wins every time. Buut, morde literally cannot die, because he will "revive" in the shadow realm. So basically an unstoppable force meets an immovable object.
For everyone saying Morde can't seal Aatrox. That is such bollocks. Sealing Aatrox is child's play, especially for Mordekaiser. Due to the nature of his curse, Aatrox' body essentially seals itself, that's why he constantly seeks battle fields ideally. He needs to "carve flesh" in order to replenish his form, otherwise his body burns itself out/breaks itself apart eventually. It's literarily in his lore that he just goes back to being a fuck ass sword if he goes long enough without any opportunity for bloodshed, leaving him waiting for the next mortal foolish enough to pick him up. If they were to ever fight, all Morde would have to do outlast him until Aatrox burns himself out, since Mordekaiser doesn't have a flesh and blood body, and you'd have to imagine that most living things in their vicinity would flee/be killed pretty early on in their ensuing battle. So yes, while Morde doesn't have a way to kill him, he would effectively cause Aatrox to inevitably seal himself due to Morde's body being a full counter to Aatrox' body/regeneration. Aatrox supposedly can permanently kill souls, but that has only been hinted at, there is no concrete feat to confirm that. All we know is that he was able to kill the aspect of war, and that could just mean he can neg aspects(who are still living things, even if more abstract), while Morde, on top of being a dead person, is sort of a one of a kind case in Runeterra in that aspect, as his afterlife/immortality is weird to say the least and not fully understood. My take on this battle is that Morde has a sure 100% proven way to win it(but not kill) while Aatrox does not. But this whole thing begs a more interesting question. What would happen if Morde were to pick Aatrox up while he was in sealed form? Would he be able to basically wield him for free since he doesn't have a flesh and blood body that Aatrox could hijack? Or would Aatrox actually be able to kick Morde out of his armor and place his own soul inside, practically freeing himself from his prison(or trading it for a slightly less constricting one)? Either way we'd end up with a giga amped version of one of these characters. And I think both would actually be reckless enough to try and find out what the result of that would be lol.
We have seen Aatrox kill only one aspect(pantheon) and that was cause the aspect went “inside” a mortal so i don’t think aatrox can really “kill” him. The problem with morde lore is he is way to op (and i like it) but knowing riot they will make a special new champ that will counter morde lore. aatrox literally slew divinity, fought the void, fought hundreds of his Darkin brothers, and was only sealed in his weapon as he was fooled by the twilight aspect, war aspect, and the nasus and another ascendant I forget the name. Mordekaiser is just a spirit in armor with a magic weapon, while Aatrox is literally a fallen god.
Well its up to writers here. Mordekaiser cant die, he is just unable to die, he dies and comes back to life. Aatrox could probably be killed by Aspects as they did teach humans to seal Darkings into their Weapons. Mordekaiser probably wins but not fully since Aatrox just gets put into his sword ready to be revived again. But if Aatrox managed to do the Deathbringer stance on Mordekaiser, the very attack that killed Pantheon God of War it might have an effect on Mordekaiser killing him fully. But this is writers choice.

I personally think people are looking too much into this. In my opinion this is a classic example of the unstoppable force meets the immovable object. The fact of the matter is: one conquered death, one cannot die. I also saw a comment of Aatrox never fighting spirit gods, and yes he has fought them and he's killed them. Another thing no one is pointing out (at least i didnt see any) is Aatrox is perfecting the vessel process. He's still figuring it out and improving upon it. Besides the point, I genuinely believe they are equals.

As an Aatrox main, I know that Aatrox is powerful. But not as much as Mordekaiser currently. Aatrox no longer has his original body and is now using an emulgamation of flesh as his vessel. And honestly I don't know if the Star Cleaver would even win even with his original body, still we need more feats from the current Morde to hand out a fair verdict. But as of the time being, I think Mordekaiser still wins respectively.
For those who don't get it. Think about it this way. Viego's release caused the RUINATION. What do you think Mordekaiser's release would do? The level of magic power difference between Morde and Aatrox is huge. Aatrox has a God killer blade true but it's not gonna happen. If panth can hurt Aatrox then Morde is beating him. Also Morde's army exists because of him. He would always have it because the Death Realm is an entire Realm. That he can always pull from or go into. Morde would never be alone.

Upon Aatrox impaling the aspect of war on his blade the whole constellation disappeared, this same Aatrox had to flee from Atreus when he lobbed his arm off. Mordekaiser is above death, he has no physical form only a presence taking control of a suit of armour. Darkin use blood magic to sustain themselves, this could be quite problematic considering morde does not possess the so called ''blood''. The biggest comparison we have is vladimir vs kalista in realms of runterra, in which vladimir had to use his own blood to fight kalista, and before you say anything vladimir was taught blood magic by the darkin. It was also mentioned that Aatrox burns through hosts without feeding on blood. The black mist is but a spec compared to what mordekaiser wields, its an off-shoot of the realm of death. Ruined pantheon was under the control of viego, viego himself is far far far weaker than mordekaiser. Pantheon refering to the aspect of war not atreus. Now going by that, if an inferior wielder of death magic can make a aspect submit mordekaiser would not have an issue. The only aspect I could see being stronger than morde is zoe purely because the aspect of twilight is geniuenly overpowered. The said aspect has the reigns over aurelion sol, no other aspect comes close to that. With all that said, mordekaiser is a god of the dead. The worst that can happen to him from what we know is he would return to his realm for a few years. There is not being really capable of ''destroying'' him permanently. The realm of death is his and his only where he's even outside of the cycle of kindred.
if morde managed to kill him (which is the only way to win the 1v1) Aatrox would have won because he found his death. The one he’d been denied, and mordekaiser would’ve won as well. They would either both win or both lose.

No way Mordekaiser is older than Aatrox. There is absolutely no clue that points to any being living before 9000 BN. One of the first events in lore is The Titan War occurs like ± 9000 BN - 8000 BN. Aatrox ascended in the years between 5000 BN - 2500 BN. Mordekaiser's reign occurs at some time like 400 BN - 100 BN. Aatrox is waaay older (and experienced in direct battle) than him.
I think Aatrox wins because human magic was enough to take down Mordekaiser (several times) but Aatrox taken down by gods(aspects). If they are going to fight army against army Aatrox wins again because as we can see from LoR cards Darkin army were able to destroy runeterra that one of the aspects herself came to fight them. We don't see any of it on Mordekaiser, his capabilites are not clear as Aatrox. I'm not into Mordekaiser lore as Aatrox, so i might not know some things about Mordekaiser. Inform me if missing something.
Mordekaiser needs his soul to be unbound from his armor to be defeated. But even then, it's a temporary defeat and he'll just be reborn eventually. I doubt Aatrox would even know how to unbind Morde from the armor, and even if he does find a way, Mordekaiser will just come back.
Aatrox cannot die to Mord simply because his physical form is trapped in the blade. His host dies but Aatrox himself doesn't unless Mord can some how destroy the blade then yes Aatrox can die that way. Regardless no death realm or angry blade deamon if the planet gets blown up by Asol. In other words Asol sweep

Just because you don't know anything about mord doesn't mean he's weaker aatrox and other darkins - coming mordekaiser means the death of all runeterra balance = Destructive Capacity and one of strongest hax - morde outweighs many dimensions lol (starting from 6D, heavenly realm begins from five dimensions and more) riot games on the forums writing that mordekaiser in scalability is higher than aspects. - World runes cannot harm morde. Nothing? demacia magic? light? even darkness? curse of runes and darkins? no magic and physical interaction does any harm to him because he is not physically tangible, his true soul is not tangible, he can not be reached and locked up and erased, because words of kindred confirm this as with other creatures from realm of dead. if the Kindred can get even Aurelion Sol, then they will not be able to interact with the Mordekaiser in any way. Forget about black mist islands, realm of the dead is a completely different level for entire runeterra and other realms

AP Скейлинг в видео заложал, поэтому AP скейлинг можно дать Мордекайзеру. Если Атроксу обязательно нужна ПЛОТЬ, то Мордекайзеру для скейлинга сил можно дать буквально всё (Души в основном как и стёртые концепциями существа например те же Даркины) Один факт доказывает что Мордекайзер перевешивает даже стёртую концепцию существ, потому что существо владеющее измерениями по размерности (Мордекайзер 6D+) намного выше чем какие нибудь "титульные боги" которые не являются богами для мордекайзера вовсе, как и другие воины рунтерры. Киндред = концепция смерти. Мордекайзер = не имеет концепции вовсе, только слоган о том что он и есть конец света рунтерры, которая плюёт на саму смерть. Создавать как захочет свои карманные измерения - уже слишком перевешенный подвиг что и написано выше тоже. Так же как и открывать и закрывать измерения, и использовать это в бою (Пример: открыть портал чтобы разрезать существо пополам после закрытия, как бы его E ability)

В лиге можно присвоить этот статус только Фиддлстиксу или тем же Наблюдателям из бездны (НЕ В РУНТЕРРЕ А ИМЕННО ИЗ БЕЗДНЫ, это настолько крупный подвиг для наблюдателей взять и создать то чего захотели буквально ИЗ НИЧЕГО, ИЗ ПУСТОТЫ). Аспекты это лишь те кто берут силу из Аурелиона Сола, который носит корону таргона и послушно исполняет роль источника силы. - Армия Даркинов опять же не перевешивает царство мёртвых. Их легко стереть из существования, и стереть еще раз концепцию их существования (Доказательство тому как высшие аспекты легко могут это делать с даркинами). it is implied that morde was either in literal death or a limbo sort of plane of death, where he conquered that too. which means any living creature since the creation of the planet that entered limbo and was stuck there, was conquered / consumed by morde which would range in the trillions, but let’s lowball it and say millions. that means he’s consumed / conquered over millions of souls. after that he literally came back to the world just to kill more people so he could consume / conquer their souls since he apparently already took everything that was in limbo and had to refill that plane of death. (again we are lowballing it and calling it just a variant of death that not all souls go to)
he’s also the greatest mage to ever be known in runeterra, having created death magic as well as knowing the secrets behind demons, rune stones as well as yordles.

Morde just flat out wins due to hax. his physical strength is limited and aatrox’s is infinite, but bc of mordes magical prowess he is easily one of the most broken / hax filled characters in league.
you have a lot of wrongs here. mordekaiser not older than aatrox. morde was born at 550 bn, while aatrox was born at 5000 bn. they say morde conquered the world but the places he conquered are nearly just the size of noxus + valoran and a part of demacia. and he wasn't the first to use the death magic. karthus, yorick and the mages that binded his soul to the iron body used necromancy. and, morde can only control the souls he killed. meaning he can't control the souls that he didn't kill. on the other hand, aatrox was the second best god warrior. he commanded many armies and gathered many victories for shurima. morde literally just brute forced everything because he can, so it doesn't make him great in tactics. he is still strong despite being stuck in a sword. he is immortal, can use blood magic (not against morde) and can absorb bodies. and he can delete concepts. he killed pantheon, aspect of war (literally god.) also note that aspects are way more powerful than god warriors. he probably can erase morde from the reality but we don't know since none of the rioters said he can.

To enter the world of the living, Mordekaiser needed to bind his soul to his armor and i'm pretty sure that Aatrox can completely destroy souls with his sword. Of course, this was not officially stated, but his phrases strongly hint at it, for example:
"Yes Sion! I kill even that which will not die! I end all things!"
"I'm not sending you to your death, Yorick! I bring oblivion!"
"Your noble purpose amuses me, Nautilus! Fight me, see true death!"
Plus a couple more excerpts:

And let's not forget that he has already killed the Aspect of War and also unknown gods like Ornn or Volibear, whose souls should be immortal.

good point, idk to what end it implies when it was stated that morde is bound to the death realm. if his material body (the iron suit) was destroyed, would it just send him back to the death realm? or could you harm the soul inside it? it’s hard to try and argue around it since the one thing we do know is that he has been banished to the death realm intentionally by being tactically defeated

I think it'd be a really close matchup, cause technically neither of them can ever lose. If aatrox's body dies, he just becomes the sword again, and he'll live to fight another day. If Mordekaiser is brought back and defeated again, he just gets sent back to his realm of death. I think that the goals are what really make the matchup, because Mordekaiser seeks to subjugate all of reality, Aatrox seeks to END all of reality. They're both immortal, so by statistic one will eventually get his wish.
The thing is, that is their soul the one bound to their weapons, Mordekaiser is THE EXPERT in soul/death/necromancy magic so he could very very VERY easily rip Aatrox soul from the blade after he kills the vessel.

@@liborcoufal1695 An aspect who got overconfident and got slapped because of it, same thing happening with Aatrox mocking and understimating Atreus all the while this one used the chance to chop off Aatrox arm, plus an aspect using a vessel that was unworthy yet had no other choice since the worthy one died.
Celestials are powerful but they become vulnerable when they fully inhabit a vessel, and since ascencion uses celestial magic via reflecting it with ther sun disc, makes sense for a "Sunborn" made Darkin (and quite the powerful one) to be able to kill a Celestial. Same thing applies with Mihira, she is pretty much 100% celestial by now yet became vulnerable since the aspect fully inhabited her body, got consumed by Xolaani by it. BUT! the one thing Morde has on his side, is the fact that he is a FULLY INCORPOREAL BEING only using a IRON VESSEL for convenience, aka NO BLOOD TO MANIPULATE so Aatrox cannot heal, power up and or grow bigger in size. it would become a matter of "who has better duelist kills" BUT Morde would have another thing for him... he will not be alone, since he would not play "fair" and bring ALL of his legions of wraiths to the battle, plus the knowlodge he might have about the Ascended, blood magic and the COMPLETE MASTERY OF SOUL MAGIC/NECROMANCY AND OTHER TYPES OR ARCANE SPELLS AND THE FACT THAT HE ENSLAVED 2 POWERFUL DEMONS! THAT ARE STILL LOYAL TO HIM TO THIS DAY!.

Pantheon the ASPECT died when fighting Aatrox, but his power lives on in Atreus, the man who we know as Pantheon on the game. The power of a targonian aspect has been suggested at nearly the same as an Ascended Shuriman, but they aren’t more powerful than a remaining Darkin or Mord.
People don’t realize how op mordekaiser really is. He has an army, he manages the death realm, he is problably the strongest mages of all time(ryze can’t control the runes) and aatrox can’t “lifesteal” mordekaiser… Meanwhile aatrox is dead

Aatrox still can kill immortal things, so this very debatable. I remind you that Atrox killed the strongest aspect of Targon, and Mord didn't go any further than the territories of Noxus. Mord is a strong magician, but Aatrox is still the embodiment of pure power (on one of the cards of the game he fights with Xolaani, Cale and Rise)

The hierarchy of weakest to strongest is Taric/Pantheon(I think they are both equal in terms of power since they have no great feat); Leona(she fries any of the last ones); Diana(she could kill Leona and almost did); Mihira(mother of kayle and morgana. Kayle is fighting aatrox->they have a similar power lvl) and Zoe the one that can alter reality just by existing and can kill most living things, she just doesn’t…

All we know is that he was able to kill the aspect of war, and that could just mean he can neg aspects(who are still living things, even if more abstract), while Morde, on top of being a dead person, is sort of a one of a kind case in Runeterra in that aspect, as his afterlife/immortality is weird to say the least and not fully understood. My take on this battle is that Morde has a sure 100% proven way to win it(but not kill) while Aatrox does not.
But this whole thing begs a more interesting question. What would happen if Morde were to pick Aatrox up while he was in sealed form? Would he be able to basically wield him for free since he doesn't have a flesh and blood body that Aatrox could hijack? Or would Aatrox actually be able to kick Morde out of his armor and place his own soul inside, practically freeing himself from his prison(or trading it for a slightly less constricting one)? Either way we'd end up with a giga amped version of one of these characters. And I think both would actually be reckless enough to try and find out what the result of that would be lol.

Mordecaiser without army loses , but wins with the army i think. Also there is something in Aatrox(blade) that somehow manages to kill gods , wipe them from existence , kill the unkillable . So it is still a fair fight and i would pay to watch a show like arcane portraying their fight
I don’t think morde applies in this regard because he’s not even alive. Unless he went through some process that made him into a god the same way the aspects are like gods, he doesn’t operate under the same rules. Hard to say what would happen unless we get s real encounter in the lore. Would be sick as fuck tho.

Technically speaking Morde is pseudo-concept entity at this point considering that he rules over death and far surpasses death itself. He's not even a soul at this point but rather a consciousness that simply exist in the plane of existence where he binds himself onto his armor on the mortal realm. morde was born anytime around 9000bn - 2000bn which makes him older than Aatrox, he took over the world once then.
then he took over the world again 400bn and had complete control of it for 300~years before being willingly put back in the death realm.
it is implied that morde was either in literal death or a limbo sort of plane of death, where he conquered that too. which means any living creature since the creation of the planet that entered limbo and was stuck there, was conquered / consumed by morde which would range in the trillions, but let’s lowball it and say millions. that means he’s consumed / conquered over millions of souls. after that he literally came back to the world just to kill more people so he could consume / conquer their souls since he apparently already took everything that was in limbo and had to refill that plane of death. (again we are lowballing it and calling it just a variant of death that not all souls go to)

Mordekaiser is a tyrant of unimagineable power in strength andmagic, waiting to enact his plan of connecting the physical world to his ream of death, so that he can once again conquer the world.
While Aatrox is currently a sword waiting to consume the body, mind, and spirit of the next unfortunate idiot to pick up the sword, so that he can end the world due to Ascended God-Warrior depression.

Im not gonna say I know who would win, but some of these comments are bringing some points that seem a bit biased. Mordekaiser did conquer the "world"(in reality it was current noxus and demacia, Zaun & Piltover, possibly some of the frejlord) but the darkin very well could have done so too, they were just too busy fighting each other and being manipulated. In fact in one of the runeterra expansions, aatrox alone is such a huge threat that ryze had to intervene, its possible that aatrox alone could have caused massive damage to the current world, and if he raised his army he definetly would just run it down.
Another point is, yes aatrox can lifesteal but it doesnt seem like this is something he does while fighting, he just uses the bodies of people he already killed to fuel himself so its not like he relies on this for anything other than to replenish his body after the battle, to add to this, it seems kinda odd he would do this looking at how much he talks about honor and having a duel.
In a 1v1, i would not be able to tell who wins, but if we are taking all factors in, id put my money on aatrox. Morde may have an army of dead souls but aatrox has an army of darkin, those guys repelled the void, no one else has come even close to something like that.
Hi, I'd just like to inform you some informations about Mordekaiser.
Morsekaiser doesn't just have "souls". He has undead souls of warriors that are worthy to serve him, you can bet that the Darkin's will not find the "souls" as an easy foe. In LoR (Legends of Runeterra) he even has two demons who actually fought side by side with him. These two demons are Atakhan, bringer of ruin & Tybaulk (Annie's fire demon manifesting in her bear; tibbers).
Also, it's already proven that Darkin's can be manipulated (LoR wise by Xolaani). If they can be manipulated by a fellow Darkin, then I bet Mordekaiser can and will use that to his advantage since he's one of the smartest creatures in Runeterra. Who knows? He may manipulate Darkin's to fight for him for the price of death.

Mordekaiser conquered the realm of the dead. He intentionally allowed himself to get banished (by Leblanc or the Black Rose) the 2nd time as part of his plan. While Aatrox and the Darkin's were outsmarted by mortals with the help of Zoe to imprison them on their own weapons; tortured and unable to die.
@@princenathanielperez595 The darkin cannot be manipulated by normal means. its unlikely they will even be willing to listen to anyone, xoolani was able to directly move the darkin bodies but couldnt really control their minds. Granted this did cause tremendous mental damage to the darkin minds so they were kinda of dead inside after sometime but what xoolani was doing is controlling their blood, since that blood is what she created(created blood magic).
I cannot speak for other darkins, but aatrox can very much destroy souls, he may be even be able to give mordekaiser absolute destruction, not just death. Aatrox was able to legitimately destroy the essence of pantheon and correct me in this part if im wrong, but in the process he shattered the star too.
In all out war I cannot tell for sure whose gonna win but in the 1v1, its not as one sided as many may think, mordekaiser is very cunning, i wouldnt say he is exceptionally smart, just very wise and with lots of experience. Combat wise he is an absolute beast.
To everybody saying that Aatrox should win bq cause he was the general of the god warries/former darkins, its true that he was and still is very smart, but we must not forget that NASUS was THE brain behind most tactics and wars they fought.

I don't think people understand Aatrox's size. It's a 1v1 forget about Aatrox's Darkin army or Mordekaiser's undead army. Aatrox is like a tall building right now. He can easily crush Mordekaiser's armor. There would be no fight. Also, Aatrox is like 10000+ years old and Mordekaiser is like roughly 2k+. Both experience and battle IQ goes to Aatrox. Speed and Strenght goes to Aatrox too because of his size. Combat power goes to Aatrox too. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Mordekaiser is weak. He is so strong but Aatrox is just what he says he is right now, literally "DOOM".

People are forgetting that morde has an unfathomably massive army lol. Everybody who he killed during his times (millions+) is in there. And every mortal who dies comes to his realm. And against aatrox the army is even stronger since aatrox can only use physical power against them and no blood magic since they dont have blood. Which means he cant heal his wounds. most importantly morde knows how to souls separate. From human to demons he manipulated souls of whoever it was. darkins will be in prison forever. Due to the nature of his curse, Aatrox' body essentially seals itself, that's why he constantly seeks battle fields ideally. We have seen Aatrox kill only one aspect(pantheon) and that was cause the aspect went “inside” a mortal so i don’t think aatrox can really “kill” him. The problem with morde lore is he is way to op (and i like it) but knowing riot they will make a special new champ that will counter morde lore. aatrox literally slew divinity, fought the void, fought hundreds of his Darkin brothers, and was only sealed in his weapon as he was fooled by the twilight aspect, war aspect, and the nasus and another ascendant I forget the name. Mordekaiser is just a spirit in armor with a magic weapon, while Aatrox is literally a fallen god.

But if Aatrox managed to do the Deathbringer stance on Mordekaiser, the very attack that killed Pantheon God of War it might have an effect on Mordekaiser killing him fully. But this is writers choice.

I personally think people are looking too much into this. In my opinion this is a classic example of the unstoppable force meets the immovable object. The fact of the matter is: one conquered death, one cannot die. I also saw a comment of Aatrox never fighting spirit gods, and yes he has fought them and he's killed them. Another thing no one is pointing out (at least i didnt see any) is Aatrox is perfecting the vessel process. He's still figuring it out and improving upon it. Besides the point, I genuinely believe they are equals.

Honestly I don’t want Aatrox to win. Aatrox himself doesn’t wanna win. He wishes death on himself. Would make he happy if Aatrox was finally released
As an Aatrox main, I know that Aatrox is powerful. But not as much as Mordekaiser currently. Aatrox no longer has his original body and is now using an emulgamation of flesh as his vessel. And honestly I don't know if the Star Cleaver would even win even with his original body, still we need more feats from the current Morde to hand out a fair verdict. But as of the time being, I think Mordekaiser still wins respectively.
For those who don't get it. Think about it this way. Viego's release caused the RUINATION. What do you think Mordekaiser's release would do? The level of magic power difference between Morde and Aatrox is huge. Aatrox has a God killer blade true but it's not gonna happen. If panth can hurt Aatrox then Morde is beating him. Also Morde's army exists because of him. He would always have it because the Death Realm is an entire Realm. That he can always pull from or go into. Morde would never be alone.
Panth has never hurt full-power Aatrox lol. He destroyed a celestial. Did Morde show something equal to it?

Morde subjugated Tybaulk and Atakhan, 2 of the most powerful Demons in League lore, and turned them into his pets. Also his army is made of all the strong people he killed in his SECOND conquest of Valoran. The weak people got turned into building materials in the Death Realm. That means that his army is full people that are atleast Hecarim's horsemen level. Not Zombies. The downplay is crazy right now. I completely believe Morde would give a celestial serious issues if he met one. Seriously. Like, what is Taric going to do? Panth can literally fight Leona. Morde beats her shit in.

Morde didn't showed Aspect level, so he can't be a problem for them. Especially for someone like Zoe.
There is The Aspect within Taric, it's stronger than Morde.
Leona wasn't controlled by The Golden Sister so she didn't use all her possible power. And Panth has The Warrior's powers lol, he is also could be more powerful than Morde.
@@crisendeep178 I don't think you understand, pantheon is tapping into the remains of the power of the aspect of war. Upon Aatrox impaling the aspect of war on his blade the whole constellation disappeared, this same Aatrox had to flee from Atreus when he lobbed his arm off.
Mordekaiser is above death, he has no physical form only a presence taking control of a suit of armour. Darkin use blood magic to sustain themselves, this could be quite problematic considering morde does not possess the so called ''blood''. The biggest comparison we have is vladimir vs kalista in realms of runterra, in which vladimir had to use his own blood to fight kalista, and before you say anything vladimir was taught blood magic by the darkin. It was also mentioned that Aatrox burns through hosts without feeding on blood.
The black mist is but a spec compared to what mordekaiser wields, its an off-shoot of the realm of death. Ruined pantheon was under the control of viego, viego himself is far far far weaker than mordekaiser. Pantheon refering to the aspect of war not atreus.
Now going by that, if an inferior wielder of death magic can make a aspect submit mordekaiser would not have an issue. The only aspect I could see being stronger than morde is zoe purely because the aspect of twilight is geniuenly overpowered. The said aspect has the reigns over aurelion sol, no other aspect comes close to that.
With all that said, mordekaiser is a god of the dead. The worst that can happen to him from what we know is he would return to his realm for a few years. There is not being really capable of ''destroying'' him permanently. The realm of death is his and his only where he's even outside of the cycle of kindred.

if morde managed to kill him (which is the only way to win the 1v1) Aatrox would have won because he found his death. The one he’d been denied, and mordekaiser would’ve won as well. They would either both win or both lose.

No way Mordekaiser is older than Aatrox. There is absolutely no clue that points to any being living before 9000 BN.
One of the first events in lore is The Titan War occurs like ± 9000 BN - 8000 BN. Aatrox ascended in the years between 5000 BN - 2500 BN. Mordekaiser's reign occurs at some time like 400 BN - 100 BN. Aatrox is waaay older (and experienced in direct battle) than him.
I think Aatrox wins because human magic was enough to take down Mordekaiser (several times) but Aatrox taken down by gods(aspects). If they are going to fight army against army Aatrox wins again because as we can see from LoR cards Darkin army were able to destroy runeterra that one of the aspects herself came to fight them. We don't see any of it on Mordekaiser, his capabilites are not clear as Aatrox. I'm not into Mordekaiser lore as Aatrox, so i might not know some things about Mordekaiser. Inform me if missing something.

Morde didn't kill a Celestial God
Mordekaiser needs his soul to be unbound from his armor to be defeated. But even then, it's a temporary defeat and he'll just be reborn eventually. I doubt Aatrox would even know how to unbind Morde from the armor, and even if he does find a way, Mordekaiser will just come back.
Aatrox cannot die to Mord simply because his physical form is trapped in the blade. His host dies but Aatrox himself doesn't unless Mord can some how destroy the blade then yes Aatrox can die that way. Regardless no death realm or angry blade deamon if the planet gets blown up by Asol. In other words Asol sweep

Given that he has same power as an aspect and be able to remove the chain, he will have to face full power Aatrox who can even kill an aspect in his weaker state

Also, Aatrox does not have the power to move around the dimensions. morde has only to lock everyone in his dimensions and the darkin are defeated, as they will simply be erased from existence. as far as is known - he owns the dimensions (the dimension of death and access to other dimensions) as he wants

Nothing? demacia magic? light? even darkness? curse of runes and darkins? no magic and physical interaction does any harm to him because he is not physically tangible, his true soul is not tangible, he can not be reached and locked up and erased, because words of kindred confirm this as with other creatures from realm of dead. if the Kindred can get even Aurelion Sol, then they will not be able to interact with the Mordekaiser in any way. Forget about black mist islands, realm of the dead is a completely different level for entire runeterra and other realms

Атроксу для существования обязательно нужна плоть, носитель чтобы питать силу (AP Скейлинг который при битве с Мордекайзером теперь будет отсутствовать, тем более в царстве смерти тобиш "откуда брать силушку то вопрос?"). AP Скейлинг в видео заложал, поэтому AP скейлинг можно дать Мордекайзеру. Если Атроксу обязательно нужна ПЛОТЬ, то Мордекайзеру для скейлинга сил можно дать буквально всё (Души в основном как и стёртые концепциями существа например те же Даркины)
Один факт доказывает что Мордекайзер перевешивает даже стёртую концепцию существ, потому что существо владеющее измерениями по размерности (Мордекайзер 6D+) намного выше чем какие нибудь "титульные боги" которые не являются богами для мордекайзера вовсе, как и другие воины рунтерры. Киндред = концепция смерти. Мордекайзер = не имеет концепции вовсе, только слоган о том что он и есть конец света рунтерры, которая плюёт на саму смерть. Создавать как захочет свои карманные измерения - уже слишком перевешенный подвиг что и написано выше тоже. Так же как и открывать и закрывать измерения, и использовать это в бою (Пример: открыть портал чтобы разрезать существо пополам после закрытия, как бы его E ability)
P.S я не предвзят ни в геймплее ни в лоре. Никто из этих чемпионов мне ни по душе.
- Атрокс не разрушал миры и не убивал богов!!!! У него только один подвиг это разрушение созвездия аспекта войны. "Сила сравнимая с смертью тысячи солнц"
- Аспекты - не боги. Боги намного выше аспектов, Боги = создатели. Если захотят то они стерут и Рунтерру и самого Аурелиона Сола. Боги должны выходить за грань существования, и иметь внешний статус. В лиге можно присвоить этот статус только Фиддлстиксу или тем же Наблюдателям из бездны (НЕ В РУНТЕРРЕ А ИМЕННО ИЗ БЕЗДНЫ, это настолько крупный подвиг для наблюдателей взять и создать то чего захотели буквально ИЗ НИЧЕГО, ИЗ ПУСТОТЫ). Аспекты это лишь те кто берут силу из Аурелиона Сола, который носит корону таргона и послушно исполняет роль источника силы.
- Армия Даркинов опять же не перевешивает царство мёртвых. Их легко стереть из существования, и стереть еще раз концепцию их существования (Доказательство тому как высшие аспекты легко могут это делать с даркинами). Золаани например с силой аспекта, но опять же Мордекайзеру стоит её просто переместить в своё измерение и всё, она без источника сил, она без скейлинга и прочего того что даёт ей право на жизнь и Мордекайзер начнет делать с ней что захочет как и армия мертвецов.
