Love that beautiful, frosty countryside! Way to get it done Francois! Looks like a promising new year! Keep pushing!
Cheers! I'm on the recovery train at the moment but things are looking up, slow and easy build back up for the A goal races later in the year. Thanks for checking in!
An excellent effort there. Well done to you. Best wishes for the challenges ahead.
Nice one Francois. Great start to the year. Good to see you getting back to it after the injury and amazing to get the placing you did whilst taking it relatively easy! All the best for the training for the next ones
Thanks Ben, yeah it was a nice surprise but did just enjoy that one. Unfortunately injury still there so having to rest another couple of weeks. Not the start to 2023 I wanted but there's still a long way to go, plenty of time.
Well done 👏
Thanks, was a good race and the weather was ok in the end!
Great effort bro!
Thanks, we need to think about doing one of those adventure races together. It would be epic!
Atleast you found checkpoint 2, I was in the zone so much I ran straight past 😆
I did that for CP1. To be honest I don’t remember much about the checkpoints! Too cold to stop for long!
Superb running Francois! What a fantastic way to kick off the year. Great result too! Huge kudos mate! 😎🤘
Cheers Ben, went better than planned when you plan to not race and just focus on eating and drinking! Unfortunately my shin still isn't quite right so having another 2 weeks off and hope it improves. Getting FOMO watching this Arc build up tho!
@@CotswoldTrailRunner shame to hear about the shin mate. Don't over do it. Don't want it turning into a stress fracture. Yeah mate the Arc is pretty hype! Very jealous! 😎🤘
Nice vid and a great effort. Ran with you for the first 6 miles or so before you went on ahead then anaged to spot you in Broadway just as I was finishing.
Highlight had to be Bredon Hill for me. Ace views from the top! Shame it only lasted about half n hour before you were back in the fog 😁
Yes I remember! Great run for you as well! Tough going out there but the reward of Bredon Hill was worth it! Had to put my gloves back on when I got down the other side again! What's next for you?
@@CotswoldTrailRunner Planning the Sidmouth Saunter 30mi in April then Mendip Marauder 50mi in September. Not sure why so many of these races need to have alliterating names 😁
Beautiful run! What time did you start in the morning?
Thanks! It was even in those freezing conditions! The race started at 08:30am
