Totally agree with the outrageous prices that Mattel puts out. And it makes me so angry that the barbie movie dolls dont hit the stores. I dont know what to get anymore hahaha
That Draculaura doll comes with 4 different soft goods pieces: massive PU leather cage skirt; mini dress with the "peplum" part of the complete look; giant bow-shaped mesh shawl; full catsuit in white lace. Tell me at which point Barbie would give us this and 11 points of articulation, in this day and age..... yeah, they wouldn't.
Yes, and oddly they are both from the same parent company. I have bought more Monster High lately than Barbie, even though I'm older and have always loved Barbie. However, if Monster High switches to all poly hair on play line, I won't be buying those either.
@@c.w.2000 I've heard the MH brand (all dolls in all price levels across all target demographics) got half of Barbie's budget. Half. That’s likely why there are some dolls that are far more impressive from MH than Barbie at roughly the same price tag.
i heard about this also but while the G1 were still up. I think the company just became lazy with playline barbies bc people still buy them up anyway (especially after the movie)
The huge Kylie Bratz is hilarious to me. I hope she goes on sale for $30 like the big Amaya did at one point. Mattel always does little annoying things that add up all across their brand. Things like using G1 in their stop motion reels and how many walmarts had the creeproduction dolls in person? 3? International people zero. Sold out online in 1 minute. This false scarcity or idk whatever is annoying.
I like G3 more than G1 they are cheaper, and I can actually get them quite easily. I also much prefer G3 Draculaura like her cute body just wish she would wear another color besides pink.
I was really into the Draculaura doll until I realized it was the Gen1 body. I've moved on from Gen1, I'm loving the new bodies that my favorite ghouls have! I can never go back!
I love how you’re not afraid of telling the corporates what you don’t like even though you probably could get free stuff from them. I appreciate how you stay strong as an individual! Also your commentary is soo funny! Love your vids
i totally agree with you about the barbie movie dolls. i work at target and when the movie was coming out, the dolls sold so fast and I had to tell customers we were sold out like three times. i'm pretty sure at my specific store we only got two shipments in total of the movie dolls but that's it. the hype, i felt like, died down after that. also, i restock the toy section at my store 85% of the time and it is so discouraging to look at the barbie dolls now compared to back then.
Yeah it just depends on location I swear my old target never had anything new on shelves and the ones here in Boise rotate who is stocked and who isn’t.
If a doll fills your heart with joy it's for you. I turned 60 the day Draculaura vampire heart went on pre order and I am so happy I got her on order! I live in NOLA and to me this doll is a nod to Anne Rice and all the vampire movies filmed in my city/state. That gown reflects the flavor of my French Quarter. I love it!
The price of dolls now are one of the reasons some parents would rather purchase electronic products for their children . I am also not surprised by availability issues as I noticed some dolls aren't available in certain places or there's a huge mark up. What's worse is that you can't even get dolls at thrift stores anymore because they are charging retail prices or eBay prices!
I can honestly say that I have been a Barbie fan my whole life. I grew up always having dolls around me. I was so pumped and excited for the Barbie movie and the dolls. I got a few of them, the fashion pack, and car and honestly felt "meh". I agree that paying $50 a pop for the dolls and seeing the clothes that I use to get on a basic play line doll felt almost insulting. I was staring at my vintage doll and the movie doll and couldn't wrap my head around it. Honestly at that moment my collection shifted. The last Barbie I got was the movie Ken in fur coat because I honestly loved his character and I have feelings about how that movie treated him and where the hell is an Alan doll?!? My collection now Disney/Ily 4ever and Rainbow/Shadow High focused. I see and appreciate the attention to details in the dolls, clothing, and accessories. I also don't feel sad at what was and is now if that makes sense. I love you and your videos. It's always good seeing your beautiful face pop up in my feed. ❤
I’m also a lifelong Barbie lover. I remember having never seen a Barbie then being given my first Barbie for my 5th birthday. I’m now in my 30s with a 5 year old daughter of my own. My relationship with the brand is bittersweet (unfortunately more bitter than sweet these days). I still buy Barbie both for myself and as gifts, but much more of my dollar goes towards other companies than otherwise would if Mattel would treat us better as consumers. The decline of quality has been so sad to see and I realize they have to take $ out of quality clothing and materials to keep giving us variety in skin tone and sculpt, but there are simple efforts they could make to give their consumers better product and make them feel valued while still taking in plenty of profit.
I can relate to a lot of this, especially paying what used to be collector prices for what used to be play line quality. When I started collecting as an adult a few years ago, I had really only known Barbie. Now I still buy some Barbies (Looks and Rewind are my favourites), but I am spreading my money around, mainly to MGA. I have also bought some older Barbies that I missed out on, and it is a bit sad to see details on a Barbie that will never be recreated on a mass-produced Barbie again (e.g. Bob Mackie Barbies with all the beads and sequins or the BFMC Silkstones with the exquisite tailoring).
@@c.w.2000 I completely agree! The last Barbie line I thought was well done was the Style series. I was grateful to get some of those on sale. Retail was ridiculous! I enjoyed the Rewind series as well.
I love anti hauls and criticism (when explained and justified). Most of us have to make cuts in the shopping area and actually make choices. I love having a peek in what people choose to buy or not
A few notes on the Teresa doll: 1) her outfit inspired by the first ever Teresa Doll back in 1988, “California Dream”. If you look her up then you will get the reference. 2) Her model mouse body has great quality, it’s quite heavy. 3) The purse and earrings are new molds, both have a palm tree motive. 4) her face is simple but beautiful 5) the fabric and construction of the dress are at a Collector level FYI i know all these because I just got her today, she is already being sold in Mexico. I love her ❤
Good to know at least the dress is well-constructed. I would probably get her if I were in the US, but her price will be around $80 for me in Canada, and I don't feel that she is different enough from the Looks Lina I have. I also have the yellow outfit from BarbieStyle #2 that I can put her in. If she goes on sale, though, I will get her because Lina is one of my favourite new sculpts.
Thanks for the info! It's fun to know that she'll be more widely available. California Dream Teresa was one of my favorite dolls growing up but I didn't know she was the first Teresa. From the only picture I've seen, I was a bit disappointed by the new version... The first one was all beach fun with polka dot patterns and bright sunny yellow. This one, in comparison, seems so... adult & serious? Maybe it's different in person, though. Or maybe it's just my bias because I'm not too much into ball gowns.
Mirabel... oh Mirabel... they did her so dirty. My favorite Encanto character and they didn't even give her fabric butterflies... she doesn't even have her amazing and super cute bag... and it's two years late too :[
“Out of touch right white Christian girl vibes” 😂😂😂😂😂 if watching your content equates to dumpster diving burning dumpster fires, then bring on the flame retardant gear. You are hands down the funniest doll content creator I know of, and I appreciate your candid, gritty honesty. I agree with every single criticism you have made across the board. I’m a life long Barbie fan in my 30s with a 5 year old daughter, and I swear, whether adult collector or child, being a Barbie consumer is tantamount to being in a narcissistic abusive relationship with Mattel. They “breadcrumb” is with just enough to keep us stringing along, unable to fully leave the brand but always taken for granted, treated poorly, and never happy or content. The Roots brand is another Canadian clothing brand. I don’t usually get FOMO on pricy dolls I’m not fully in love with, but I’m on the fence with this one. M.O.M. Nichelle is not a fav sculpt, but it’s my fav screening I’ve seen on this sculpt thus far and it’s not one I have in my collection. Plus I feel like the outfit pieces look high quality and versatile (I like to restyle my dolls). But the price point is hard to justify especially since she doesn’t have M2M articulation. I realize she’s sold out on Mattel Creations already, but she’s only Black Label (no limits on how many they make) so I’d be very surprised if they don’t restock her.
Yeah that’s the thing too I wish I could my hands are more dolls to show you guys but woof! I spent $75 on that ugly Belle doll and she hasn’t even shipped yet
Came for the de-influencing, stayed for the Mattel slander. I cannot stand them, especially not after their new CEO. Dolls are an art to me, and should be treated as such for anyone, age, race, gender, whatever. Mattel doesn’t want to create good dolls at smaller quantities, its bad dolls in high quantities overflowing the target toy aisle. I feel so bad for the hardworking designers being asked to make the doll have a plastic top for the billionth time😭
I left the doll hobby 13-14 years ago due to burnout and was clean away until January of this year when I discovered RH/SH, which until then never knew existed. They made me feel excited about dolls again. I bought some RH/SH and a few OMGs because of their beautiful colors. Now, though, I'm already burned out on dolls again, due in no small part to MGA QA shenanigans, and nothing upcoming excites me at all. I haven't even taken pleasure in others' photos of their dolls. Considering ditching it all again. Also, I haven't bought a single Barbie movie doll and never will.
Omg HEAVY on the Barbie movie dolls I NEVER saw any of them in person except for one time BEFORE the movie dropped. I will never understand how a BILLION dollar company cannot keep in demand any of the dolls.
You are my favorite RUclipsr! You never cease to make me laugh. You are right, the dolls coming out are pretty much trash and not worth the money! The shoplifting jokes combined with your voice and the looks on your face are hysterically funny and priceless. You have great content and please make more angry videos.
In Brazil these barbie the movie dolls were pretty easy to get. Except for the "back to barbieland" barbie wich didn't come to the country, all of the others were available for a good amount of time and none of them were exclusive to any store. One thing that think that helped the dolls availability was the price... the collector ones were priced arround U$120 converted. All Margot ones are sold out though.
I remember getting the Solo in the Spotlight for $10 total, with shipping and handling, on eBay. Now, I've seen them starting at $30+. I used to get great dolls in box for reasonable prices and now, I'm paying $50+. It's wild.
Yeah I remember finding a BFMC Silkstone for under $150 was pretty easy. They usually came with the box too. They may have been unboxed at one point too but they were complete.
Nothing says “we support Black people” like mattel making their first (and only) solo collector clawdeen doll then proceding to instantly ignore her in favor of the 1000000011121 draculaura collector doll am i right??/sarcasim
The Teresa birthday doll pays homage to the first Teresa, released in the “California Dream” collection. But I thought the choice of clothing print didn't match the party dress, perhaps a “resort chic” style like the palm beach collection from the FMC would be more interesting
I was a bit too old for the original MLP, and I always thought they were for kids or people with nostalgia. However, the Celestial Ponies were too cute to resist. I ordered one, and the packaging is cute too. So, now I finally have a pony after 40 years. If you can stop at just one or two, I recommend them.
I literally think that mattel just wanted to sell a 100$ doll and created that draculaura and loaded her up with shit to match the price point bcs theres no way... also i want to collect the 40th anniversary mlps so badly theyre adorable!
we keep paying it. I keep paying these Barbie prices and they know it. I love their face sculpts but they could be so much better than they are. The Barbie movie could have been an excellent opportunity to really bring the doll designs.
I totally agree and feel like being a Barbie consumer is like being in an abusive narcissistic relationship with Mattel. However, though I do still buy Barbie products, I almost always wait for sales, and much more of my dollar goes to other companies than would if they actually gave us better quality and treated their consumers with a little dignity and respect.
I feel so much better every time I watch your videos. You speak what's been on everyone's mind and especially these days with the dolls being so effing expensive. The last thing I wanted to do was pay $150 for the special Draculaura doll but she was sold out before I even knew she came out. Of course eBay had the dolls for higher prices and I was yelling at myself while purchasing it. Not sure if it's FOMO but my logical arse would tell me to wait but that means I would have to pay three times more. I'm still bitter about Haunt Couture Draculaura and the circus release and availability of the MH reboots and Reel Drama dolls. I don't know if I hate the greedy doll companies or scalpers more. It's so frustrating when I feel these greedy mofos are taking advantage of us!
I get the FOMO I purchased two of the Haunt Couture Cleo’s from eBay scalpers and for what? One is still in the shipper and the other is in a bin somewhere.
I was trying to figure out wtf an anti-haul was, but now I know as soon as 2:44 hit; and I immediately had to subscribe to this lovely person. 😂❤ love you!!!!! You keep it soooo real on here! It is about time.
The 300 dollar Disney American Girl dolls cost so much and yet are exactly what I expect. One of the normal dolls is 150 dollars now. As someone who used to be really into American Girl, I recommend getting a few different girls you like and then a bunch of accessories from a variety of sources. It's less wallet breaking that way.
Not into them, the size creeps me out. I have a used Wellie Wisher it's cute and all, but I have no idea why they cost so much. The quality isn't anything to rave about.
@@iamsoverybored878 Like everything with Mattel, the quality has dipped in the past decade. It used to be better in the 2000s. The appeal of American Girl has always been high quality items with historical and cultural accuracy. nowadays the quality can be hit or miss and Mattel is more focused on their modern day girls / post war girls. Which makes it indistinguishable from its competition in a lot of ways.
@Moonlitwatersofaqua I'm also afraid to move her because I heard that Wellie Wishers' legs can break off. She's been in that Christmas dress from last year since I bought her. To be honest, the outfit quality looks like the Generation Girl dolls you can get at Target.
@@iamsoverybored878 Our generation is known for having high quality clothing that is on Par with American girl. The dolls themselves are not as high quality as American Girl Dolls. AG is known for making dolls that will take a beating and still be fully functional decades later. Our Generation isn't as nice as that from what i understand. Their clothing is also modern day. That's why I say the appeal of AG is the historical accuracy. It makes it unique from other 18 inch doll brands and even independant artists. And thats what makes the pivot towards more modern day stuff so frustrating. They are now expensive dolls with no unique identity. Wellie wishers are also not as high quality as AG and are meant to be more budget friendly and for younger kids. They aren't as well made as the larger dolls.
One of my favorite doll channels ever!!! What’s your sign, gotta be a fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥 sign with the truth telling you do! Love love love your content!!! also, I love how your dolls are not perfect in the back I don’t know but to me that just seems so realistic😂😂😂😂😂
The only Barbie movie dolls I have are pink dress Barbie and beach Ken. I feel robbed that we didn’t get an Allan! I’d also love for them to put out Sugar Daddy and Earring Magic because I need them. Basically I just want more of the kens but not at $50 a piece
I undertand you opinions, and am glad you articulated them the way you did. I wish we could get more from corporations too...I also wish large box chain stores in Canada wouldn't charge an extra $20 for a doll as if they are individually importing each one because they're not. They get them in bulk.
I found this channel today. I totally agree about the Skylar playset, it will be great for photos and Skylar’s hair blend is gorgeous. You’re quite handsome!
As far as MH goes, I think Drac is one of my faves just bc she's so popular. I don't f with the media so much as just collect dolls, so knowing there's so much of her (along with Frankie and Clawdeen, my other two faves) makes me really interested in getting her. But yeah she's still about the only one they wanna make big special dolls of and it's getting kind of tired. A lot of other girls deserve special dolls too
Kia ora from New Zealand! I am new to your chanel and just watched the one where you talked a bit about grieving for your friend. My heart really goes out to you. I have only started collecting dolls in the last few years and oh man, it's just getting silly. I like old porcelain dolls, monster high, EA, some Barbies (prefer variety/diversity). I am currently piling dolls into a big plastic container to slide under my bed and call it my Doll Library. I am restricting how many are on the surfaces or it feels really overwhelming. I buy second hand but still feel a bit guilty about all the plastic! Thanks for being here, Candice. xxx
Yeah it’s a slippery slope. I’ve had a couple of freak outs where i see how much I have and I want to purge them all. But I’ve done that before and regret it later and just end up buying it back.
Thank goodness I need studios to be encouraged to make more films like this. If I see another pointless cash grab remake I’m gonna piss all over the carpet.
Loved this Anti-Haul! 💖 I agree that all these dolls Mattel are putting out are just so boring! Not only that but they are doing celebrities and brands that I have never heard of. I am also super annoyed as I pre-ordered Fauxjo Ken and he isn't going to ship for a while and he is now on store shelves here and for $30 AUD less 😒 I wish I could get into Rainbow High and all that but I'm too basic for that 😭
I know what you were thinking when you were talking about the anniversary Teresa Barbie- her dress is very banana-esk 😂❤ or maybe that was what I was thinking 😆
OMG 😂🤣🤣🤣😭 @16:00 - 16:25 took me out! I couldn’t breathe for like a whole minute 🤣🤣🤣☠️⚰️- your way with words. The accuracy. Thank you. I said… “Good evening”🫡
I agree with what you are saying. We can get a made to move doll for $16.99 but if we want a nice dress on the doll, we have to pay $50.00 or more and no articulation or very little. Back in the 50's and 60's we got fantastic fashion with real zippers and buttons and they were really cheap. now look what we get and what we are paying for them.
That collector Mirabel is a CRIME for that price couldn't they at least give her a proper circle skirt?? There's just not enough fabric going on to emulate her animated look let alone elevate it
Roots its a canadian clothes brand... i never thought that mattel / barbie would do such a thing... its so random.. roots they were the official olympic winter brand clothes for canada back in the 90's... it was so cool in the 90s... it makes a come back i guess...but i always love the beaver logo♡ love roots but not on barbie... its too kitsch for me
Wait, hold on... an Ursula styling head? That's basically Divine in PURPLE. Never bought a head before, but our drag collection needs some additions...
You’re so right about Mattel!! Also I think Roots is a Canadian fashion brand, I only know because I always see simply nailogical wearing it and I’ve never seen it here in the states
I’m definitely buying the Dream and Design set ON CLEARANCE/DISCOUNT. Love it but can’t justify buying it full price because of Skylar, she’s gonna be in a plastic tub somewhere 😅
I agree with you about those Barbie Movie dolls... like... apparently the skating dolls are Walmart exclusive? My Walmart is always janky so idk how the hell I'm gonna find them 😢
re - the barbie movie dolls. I have not seen rollerblade Ken ANYWHERE! (in Canada). Not in person, not online. NOT ANYWHERE. I love your anti-hauls. It's reassuring that someone else agrees that prices have gotten completely bananas. PS: Roots is a Canadian clothing brand (which is turning 50 years old). I kind of wanted her for my "Canada dolls" portion of my collection, but not for the price point.
I agree the price point is hard to justify on the Roots doll, especially without M2M articulation. Although, literally anything from Roots is difficult to justify the price point on (I’m in the US so perhaps the brand is slightly more affordable domestically in Canada).
@veronicanovak8646 Nope! As a Canadian, I grew up around people wearing... pretty much exactly what this Barbie is wearing and the prices have always seemed too high for me. I assumed people were ok paying ~30% more to get the logo, but I never quite got what this brand meant to people... It seems to be a matter of Canadian pride, like The Bay, but I don't quite understand.
@@monstresynthetique3644 I think it was just a really trendy brand for a while, particularly in the 90's. I remember the occasional sweater my parents got me as being really comfortable, but probably not 30% more comfortable than the average sweater.
The only Barbie movie dolls I got were the preorder ones like weird Barbie and fur coat Ken (they’re also some of my favorite characters from the movie and so excited to get them eventually) but it has been so exhausting with the Barbie movie dolls. I want them and my budget all set for them, but they’re no where to be found except the Gingham one and Surfer Ken. Gloria I even struggled to find. I wish Mattel made it a little more easier cuz I don’t have time to be fighting for these dolls, I kind of, just want to casually buy them one day? I know that’s a weird concept for Mattel that seems to like to pit doll collectors against each other on release day of a new skullector doll. And yes, I would LOVE it if companies like Mattel were more open about stuff like restocks or other stuff you mentioned. I’m also in the video game fandom and game companies tend to be a little more open about progress of games and open communication. Like with Tears of the Kingdom, Nintendo were honest about delays in the game design saying things weren’t quite there yet so the game was delayed a few months. People were sad the game wasn’t done yet but they had the information to kind of help them get over it at least and understand the situation. People can be a lot more understanding then companies give them credit for and let’s us not have to jump to conclusions.
Maybe instead of reactions you do top 5 moments you loved/hated in each season? That might be fun. And you can bring out the angry voice more often with that, too 🥳😝 Great video, by the way! I (mostly) agreed!
Despite the dumb price i still fell for the gothic vampire queen draculaura... It an asthetic i love so i couldn't help it. I wish these dolls had better prices...
The only Barbie Movie doll I want is the first outfit one as I love the look. Plus I have the beach Ken doll (found him in store at a Walmart believe it or not) so I need a Barbie to go with him and she’s perfect for that. The only other holy grail doll I’m after is G3 Abby cause I love her design and the Sabina/Sabrina (whatever name she has) from the Rainbow Divas to complete my Rainbow Vision set as I got the ones I wanted most from the other two groups so that just leaves her. Oh and that Ginger Spice LOL Tween is on my want list cause I’m a 90’s kid and the Spice Girls are my queens that I’ll forever stan.
I agree with all you have said! The Barbie movie dolls make me angry as well! Why aren’t they in stores?!? None of the stores around me had ANY. Then you go online and they are sold out!! I don’t get it. The prices on them are outrageous. I want the cowgirl but I’m not paying what eBay has them going for. Most of the RUclipsrs justify the price of them and I strongly disagree. I love how honest you are! Like others mentioned Teresa is supposed to be like California Dream Teresa from the 80s in her yellow outfit. I feel very meh about her. They could have done SO much better so I’m gonna pass. She’s probably 80 bucks anyway. I have not bought nearly as many dolls this year as I normally do due to the prices for what we are getting. They are play line dolls with no effort anymore. What I wouldn’t give for early 2000 collector dolls!! Fabric, jewelry, QUALITY!! Oh well saves me money I guess, cause I’m not buying any of these new dolls…..Please keep giving us videos like this, love to hear your opinions!❤
im always tempted to buy some My Little Ponies but yea there are already too many dolls on my wishlist. I might buy one of the anniversary ponies though...
Mattel is probably the stupidest company ever. Like they could’ve made more money if they kept producing dolls that sell out. Like the Barbie movie dolls and monster high creeproduction dolls would make them SO much money if they would just produce them and put them in stores. It’s just embarrassing
CREEPRODUCTION was such a fumble Mattel really said “we are allergic to money and making a profit” the limited quantities on those dolls was insulting. It makes me wonder who does their market research cause it’s all over the place.
I love your commentary! Always tell the truth. (I did buy the AG Rapunzel because Rapunzel is my girl and American girl was the first thing I collected-they have payment plans and that helped justify it for me). Oh yeah poor Draculaura, so good she’s finally getting the love 😂😂😂 I want Yzma so badly for not for $75 for that 3-pack. Oh yeah Mattel has to just pick random numbers out of a hat to come up with those numbers. Seriously, I have not been able to find the Barbie movie dolls ANYWHERE!! (But my area takes forever to stock new dolls) and I think I’m with you that I might not even buy any even though I love the Barbie movie. The Celestial MLPs are sooo cute! Skylar does look pretty in the set-if I could sew, I would get it.
I agree with all the products you showcased in this video, with the exception of Vampire Heart Draculaura; she truly is divine and I'm glad I managed to preorder one! But other than that, most of these dolls are overpriced or not good in quality overall. Money saved, I guess?
I just found out, that Mattel site has a launch calendar, where they anounce the sneak peak about the dolls, also the date and time of the release. I saw there, when Teresa is going to start to sale❤.
Unless they release a special Draculaura that’s on a G3 body, it’s a pass for me. As for the the Kylie dolls… so MGA have the Paris doll (only famous because of a sex tape) and now a Kylie doll ( only famous due to her trashy family especially Kim who only got famous due to a sex tape which her mom apparently pimped out!) wtf MGA! Some of the current standard dolls don’t look as cheap as some of those Barbie movie dolls. I do want Disco barbie only because I like glam barbies but even then that cheap face… and the bootlickers … so obvious when they all went quiet over the controversy of the leaked photos of the pink gingham Barbie caused due to ugly face mold. When they finally started reviewing the doll, they were nauseating in fake praise. So good on you for keeping it real.
Mattel is simply in a death throes. They have no ideas, no one to steal these ideas from, MGA gave a rebuff that Mattel did not expect. A low quality product, Barbie the movie is the last attempt to attract a buyer. Since the Internet there have been many other interesting companies. If you look at it realistically, the dolls from the film are not even aimed at the children's sector; with such inflation, who would buy a child a toy that costs 40 dollars? No one is interested in static Barbie doll figures. The same thing with “collectible” dolls. The quality is below par.
You are correct. And I do see the inspiration there, but the final product is pretty lackluster in my opinion. I believe they could have done more justice to Teresa
I Bought The James Dean doll back in the day at Toys R us for $30-$50 CAD and he has a custom face mold for James Dean nice clothing good quality, and he is Articulated with a nice box. what makes Gloria worth $97.43 Cad (after tax)????
In the uk the barbie movie dolls are going for almost £100 on amazon yet they come with less then a £30 barbie extra doll. I hate Mattel. And I agree about the disney 17 inch dolls, the quality has been off with those dolls for about a year now. They're not as detailed.
It's from! 55 euro in Ireland for a Barbie movie doll and they not always available too! Too expensive and kinda bored of them already. Still buying Rainbow high as they are always on sale and such a good quality.

See, that makes sense I love a good connection or background story for a doll.
The thrift store girlies are insane right now. Especially if it’s a chain thrift store.
The Alan doll sold out in a second.
I love anti hauls and criticism (when explained and justified). Most of us have to make cuts in the shopping area and actually make choices. I love having a peek in what people choose to buy or not
I like making these videos too because then others can chime in and help gain a more well rounded perspective
A few notes on the Teresa doll:
1) her outfit inspired by the first ever Teresa Doll back in 1988, “California Dream”. If you look her up then you will get the reference.
2) Her model mouse body has great quality, it’s quite heavy.
3) The purse and earrings are new molds, both have a palm tree motive.
4) her face is simple but beautiful
5) the fabric and construction of the dress are at a Collector level
FYI i know all these because I just got her today, she is already being sold in Mexico.
Thank you this was helpful. I don’t like the model muse bodies but I do love when they are solid and heavy all the way through.
Mirabel... oh Mirabel... they did her so dirty. My favorite Encanto character and they didn't even give her fabric butterflies... she doesn't even have her amazing and super cute bag... and it's two years late too :[
Mattel pisses me off so much! They're for real the absolute WORSE about getting there shit out on shelves 🙄😑🤭 🤷♀️😉
Put the Ursula on your car, like a hood ornament.
There we go! Classy Disney
Haha well I’m glad you’re here to help.
In person the Clawdeen is beautiful. She’s not sold out, she’s 45 bucks on Mattel Creations.
I need more honest reviews on dolls. These over $100 dolls are ridiculous! Thanks for being honest it’s very refreshing!
The RH and SH dolls did something significant in the doll collecting sphere.
The library was open today! Preach!
Omg HEAVY on the Barbie movie dolls I NEVER saw any of them in person except for one time BEFORE the movie dropped. I will never understand how a BILLION dollar company cannot keep in demand any of the dolls.
Literally no one asked for an Ursula styling head, lol
Right? Like…..she has 5 inches max
You are my favorite RUclipsr! You never cease to make me laugh. You are right, the dolls coming out are pretty much trash and not worth the money! The shoplifting jokes combined with your voice and the looks on your face are hysterically funny and priceless. You have great content and please make more angry videos.
Haha I’m glad I can be funny thank you!
The Brazilian dolls markets are so interesting to me. I have a big live action Ariel doll from there and love her.
i love the feistiness! its so refreshing and fun!!! you speak for all of us!
I so needed to watch this. I am in doll addiction overload and I love your sarcasm. Anti hauls are great!
Nothing says “we support Black people” like mattel making their first (and only) solo collector clawdeen doll then proceding to instantly ignore her in favor of the 1000000011121 draculaura collector doll am i right??/sarcasim
Huh? What are you even saying. I’m a Black woman asking, Clawdeen is beautiful.
The Teresa birthday doll pays homage to the first Teresa, released in the “California Dream” collection. But I thought the choice of clothing print didn't match the party dress, perhaps a “resort chic” style like the palm beach collection from the FMC would be more interesting
Yeah and someone was telling me she’s solid all the way through and that’s good I like the hefty model muse dolls that are heavy.
I kind of want the mermaid ones but I need to stop haha
OMG I love you lmaooooo your rants are so spot on
I pre ordered the new clawdeen for my niece I personally didn’t care much for either, but I know she will love her.
That’s important too are those memories.
I literally think that mattel just wanted to sell a 100$ doll and created that draculaura and loaded her up with shit to match the price point bcs theres no way...
also i want to collect the 40th anniversary mlps so badly theyre adorable!
First of all that whole introduction was a word and dope the way 😂I cackled
I’m not broke I’m just spacing out my doll collection more
we keep paying it.
Haha thank you very much
Ohhh my god I am so here for the honesty of this video! Finally someone who is truly critical of these companies!! Thank you.
@Moonlitwatersofaqua Wellie Wishers retail for $65. Only rich people can afford them for their little kids.
Haha I am for sure. I’m an Aries.
Thank you so much for this anti-haul!
I’m here to help every other 3 week period haha
The only Barbie movie dolls I have are pink dress Barbie and beach Ken. I feel robbed that we didn’t get an Allan! I’d also love for them to put out Sugar Daddy and Earring Magic because I need them. Basically I just want more of the kens but not at $50 a piece
Hi cool ya got the 2 new Barbie and Ken from the movie awesome
please please please do this monthly 😭 WE THE PEOPLE NEED IT
Haha monthly could maybe happen I need to pay more attention to dolls now that Papusile Mele quit Instagram
you are hysterical and you/
're right about all dolls
I miss your RH recaps so much! Loved them...another great video dear!
I know I feel so bad for ditching them but the turn around was not it
I undertand you opinions, and am glad you articulated them the way you did. I wish we could get more from corporations too...I also wish large box chain stores in Canada wouldn't charge an extra $20 for a doll as if they are individually importing each one because they're not. They get them in bulk.
Yeah and they are in North America as well as the USA and Mexico so it should be cheaper.
Gotta love capitalism...not
I found this channel today. I totally agree about the Skylar playset, it will be great for photos and Skylar’s hair blend is gorgeous. You’re quite handsome!
Haha thanks and it’s such a cute set
As far as MH goes, I think Drac is one of my faves just bc she's so popular. I don't f with the media so much as just collect dolls, so knowing there's so much of her (along with Frankie and Clawdeen, my other two faves) makes me really interested in getting her. But yeah she's still about the only one they wanna make big special dolls of and it's getting kind of tired. A lot of other girls deserve special dolls too
Aesthetically I get it Drac is THAT ghoul typically her color scheme works well and can make for some great looks.
15:39 OH HONEY. It’s not one of, Barbie IS WB’s highest grossing movie of all time.
💅🏼 💅🏼✨
Thank goodness I need studios to be encouraged to make more films like this. If I see another pointless cash grab remake I’m gonna piss all over the carpet.
Loved this Anti-Haul! 💖 I agree that all these dolls Mattel are putting out are just so boring! Not only that but they are doing celebrities and brands that I have never heard of. I am also super annoyed as I pre-ordered Fauxjo Ken and he isn't going to ship for a while and he is now on store shelves here and for $30 AUD less 😒 I wish I could get into Rainbow High and all that but I'm too basic for that 😭
Girl the second Barbie wises yo and collaborates with Pokémon I’ll be back in it.
I freaking love these videos!! Mattel is only the stuff of nightmares!!❤
Yes they are, and I am glad there are pay in 4 options because I would be broke other wise lol.
There's just not enough fabric going on to emulate her animated look let alone elevate it
Yeah it makes me sad
Roots its a canadian clothes brand... i never thought that mattel / barbie would do such a thing... its so random.. roots they were the official olympic winter brand clothes for canada back in the 90's... it was so cool in the 90s... it makes a come back i guess...but i always love the beaver logo♡ love roots but not on barbie... its too kitsch for me
That’s so random but cool I guess haha and yeah the 90s aesthetic is back again.
Wait, hold on... an Ursula styling head? That's basically Divine in PURPLE. Never bought a head before, but our drag collection needs some additions...
Haha I know there’s a market out there for her haha
You’re so right about Mattel!!
Also I think Roots is a Canadian fashion brand, I only know because I always see simply nailogical wearing it and I’ve never seen it here in the states
Yeah people were telling me about it and it’s very 90s too
OMG - I love your off-the-cuff sediments
Haha thank you.
I’m definitely buying the Dream and Design set ON CLEARANCE/DISCOUNT. Love it but can’t justify buying it full price because of Skylar, she’s gonna be in a plastic tub somewhere 😅
Yeah give it a month or two and she’ll be on sale
I agree with you about those Barbie Movie dolls... like... apparently the skating dolls are Walmart exclusive? My Walmart is always janky so idk how the hell I'm gonna find them 😢
Luckily I live somewhere with multiple Walmarts but my old Walmart would put out new stuff for like easily 6 months.
re - the barbie movie dolls.
Your custom Rainbow😉 High Mermaids are the best
Haha they are
Roots Barbie is still in stock. Roots is an extremely popular sweatpants brand in Canada.
I’ll probably get Draculaura, the werecats and Meribel
The 50 roots style is very Trunchbull core and that slays
I would buy the rocking chair thing from Bratz. But no room, would recommend if you have room.
I’m also a little cash poor after going after live action Ariel merch for so long haha
Maybe instead of reactions you do top 5 moments you loved/hated in each season? That might be fun. And you can bring out the angry voice more often with that, too 🥳😝
Great video, by the way! I (mostly) agreed!
(seasons, as in the RH show - realised I didn't specify)
Haha fair enough. Is the show still going on? Are they done with the magic competition finally?
Always enjoy watching your videos 😊
Thank you!
I want the Alice out of that Disney pack
There we go buy and return baby
Despite the dumb price i still fell for the gothic vampire queen draculaura... It an asthetic i love so i couldn't help it. I wish these dolls had better prices...
Yeah the pricing would help a lot of these.
I feel shadow high series 3 is absolutely brilliant ❤❤❤❤
Shadow high has some of the best little accessories I’ve ever seen
They couldn’t even use the gorgeous original Teresa face mold?!?? UGH!!!
Yeah I heard irl it’s gorgeous in its simplicity and that’s valid a lot of these girlies look better in person.
im always tempted to buy some My Little Ponies but yea there are already too many dolls on my wishlist.
Yeah I’d they make an Ariel AG I may consider that payment plan haha
@@JeffreySteinmanReviews 😂😄
Love these anti-hauls
I agree with all the products you showcased in this video, with the exception of Vampire Heart Draculaura; she truly is divine and I'm glad I managed to preorder one! But other than that, most of these dolls are overpriced or not good in quality overall. Money saved, I guess?
Completely agree with you ❤
I’m getting the new budget logo barbie with the Shani face
I just found out, that Mattel site has a launch calendar, where they anounce the sneak peak about the dolls, also the date and time of the release. I saw there, when Teresa is going to start to sale❤.
Please shhhhh lmao
Wow. I'm so here for this 😊😊😊
Haha it was a hoot.
Love how real you are
I’m a whole real person
I want MGA to commit if they are going to keep choosing problematic people. I want a Tati Westbrook doll etc.
Yippee. *Another* draculaura doll. Hooray.
Yeah the fact I’m still getting printed on details at the $50 price point is rough….(pink western Barbie)
Great video! Never change😅 Did not buy any new Monster high even though Cleo is my girl too.
If I remember correctly: the Teresa doll is suppose to be paying homage to the 80s California Dream Teresa.
You are correct. And I do see the inspiration there, but the final product is pretty lackluster in my opinion. I believe they could have done more justice to Teresa
@@veronicanovak8646 I totally agree. The polka dot dress was the lazy way out. The 55th Anniversary Christie was more inspiring.
Babbbby the library was opened because you were reading lol 😆 😂 🤣 and no shade alot of which needed to be said .
Roots is still available on the companies website
i can repaint this ursula bust for you and you will have nice decoration :).
Haha I mean that’s very fair.
Thanks for the video! ❤
I Bought The James Dean doll back in the day at Toys R us for $30-$50 CAD and he has a custom face mold for James Dean nice clothing good quality, and he is Articulated with a nice box. what makes Gloria worth $97.43 Cad (after tax)????
Corporate greed and “inflation”
In the uk the barbie movie dolls are going for almost £100 on amazon yet they come with less then a £30 barbie extra doll. I hate Mattel. And I agree about the disney 17 inch dolls, the quality has been off with those dolls for about a year now. They're not as detailed.
It’s a bummer honestly
Im so sad I'll never own a Haunt Couture Draculaura or even the Vampire heart one. It so expensive :'c
I feel bad for the fans of her cause she’s a sell out kind of girlie she’s gone too quick sometimes.
It's from! 55 euro in Ireland for a Barbie movie doll and they not always available too! Too expensive and kinda bored of them already. Still buying Rainbow high as they are always on sale and such a good quality.
