  • This video has partly been requested through my viewer comment response series and one I had intended to record in time for the summer.
    The video starts with a mini hierarchy of sunglasses before distinguishing the difference between designer and niche sunglasses and ending with my 3 niche brand recommendations Barton Pereira, Dita and Mr Leight and 2 mainstream designer brands Chanel and Dunhill.
    Visuals filmed for the respective brands in the following boutiques:
    Barton Perreira 42 E 66th Street, New York
    Dita 946B Madison Avenu, New York
    Mr Leight 143 Berry Street, Brooklyn
    *My channel is growing but at the moment I am still funding it largely by myself. If you value my content please consider purchasing a super thanks you will find links attached to each video, also watching the advertisements in full would also be a big help.*
    Top worn in video from Sara Campbell boutique in Connecticut, NJ

    Dear Anesu, thank you so much for another great video! The Ostara sunglasses from Barton Perreira look so lovely on you. Do you happen to know the name of the second model you were thinking about? I am looking for a light pair of sunglasses at the moment and this video came at a perfect time.

    Perfect timing! I was just looking for some sunglasses. I agree 100000%. I had my eye on a pair of Celine glasses but couldn’t justify 400 for NON POLARIZED PLASTIC lenses. 😂 I got a pair of foldable persols on sale and I must say crystal lenses are a must. Do you know if the lenses in the top three brands are crystal?
    Hope you are well.

    Thank you!! This made me think of a video request for you... I would love a video on the hierarchy or watches, as well as recommendations!
    I have been searching for gold watches for a long time and would like to get one (preferably less than $500 but could go higher). One of the problems I have is that my wrists are very small (about 6 inches around) and many watches look giant on me, and I also love the minimal look but it is hard to come across sometimes. If you have any recommendations for me, or can give me information on brands like Movado, Mvmt, Fossil, Michael Kors, Emporio Armani, Nixon, Citizen, etc, I would very much appreciate it!!

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  2 года назад +1

      Hierarchy of watches will come out later in the year but unfortunately for you I’ll not be focused on the brands you have requested they are below the threshold and not watch brands. My focus will be on brands focused on watches.

    I collect vintage Chanel sunglasses, before they licensed out their designs to luxottica, and I have to say, the designs are so bold and eye catching. Each piece is iconic and unique and I can always tie it back to the collection it debuted in. They *always* garner compliments whenever I wear them out. The luxottica designs, I find, are just too uninspired. It seems they keep designs in rotation for years, only modifying the trim ever so slightly. I know that every once in a blue moon Chanel will design and produce a pair for an Haute Couture collection themselves, but this is very rare. I just wish they would bring everything back in house, but that seems less cost effective for them and thus highly unlikely.

    • @thebigh9324
      @thebigh9324 2 года назад

      Have you noticed a decline in build quality since they went out if house ?

    • @supermilkchan123
      @supermilkchan123 2 года назад +1

      @@thebigh9324 To be honest the luxottica glasses are probably better made, given that they are newer and use newly developed materials and technology. Vintage Chanel glasses are very much of the era, they're fine, but the acetate of that era hasn't aged too well on some of the frames. Though the metal frame glasses like the 4001 and 06926-45002 are excellent and surprisingly durable. I would say the vintage metal frames are just as good as the luxottica licensed ones.

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  2 года назад +1

      Luxottica designs are definitely uninspired or what they call timeless designs! Sadly they will never make the sunglasses in-house again.
      I can imagine how exquisitely designed your vintage Sunglasses must be! Would give my left arm to see them! I hope you continue to enjoy them.

    What about Cartier sunglasses and Linda Farrow. Cartier sunglasses have good lenses

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  2 года назад

      Both brands are fantastic. Although I feel Cartier is just too pricey for what they are but you are buying the hype that goes with the brand. I would put Cartier money into a Japanese brand like Masunaga or Masahiro Maruyama for example but it depends on your taste.

    😂 why call fast fashion “every-day luxury” you just made the word luxury so cheap, just call it what it is.

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  2 года назад +1

      Luxury is relative first and foremost but i can understand why you feel put out but the difference in quality, materials used and craftsmanship between glasses priced £25-£50 (everyday luxury) and £25 and below which is fast fashion zone is negligible. Hence easier to group into 1 category and i thought appropriate but going forward where applicable and if necessary I’ll make the distinction.
