Making the playoffs for the first time since 1987, the Detroit Tigers would take on the New York Yankees in the 2006 American League Division Series. As the Wild Card team after a late season collapse in the AL Central race, they would beat the AL East Champion Yankees 3 games to 1 in the best of five to advance to the 2006 American League Championship Series.

It always makes me frustrated to watch a pro baseball game that is close. The team on offense has no clue how to manufacture anything. Just go up and hit. No other strategy what so ever.
